i was just curious what others may think, with no other air benders(at least so far) he will most likely die in the avatar state while killing the fire lord ending the war and the avatar cycle.
but there could be other air benders just like the many different earth and water benders we have seen so far that aren't part of the main tribes.

I hope he doesn't. If he did, the series would probably end.

Killing aang would kill off more than half of their fan base in a simultaneous manner.

I hope he doesn't. It's hard to say those the creates may kill him through I doubt it.

You make a good point about the Avatar Spirit, but then again I don't think he will. Reason? Well he survived many battles with the Avatar Spirit and at the end of each use he tries with it, he merely becomes weakened. I think he's capable of controlling it, he just needs more training.

I don't think he's going to die, creators don't usually kill off the main characters unless it's the last (or close to the last) episode. (example: Trinity Blood)

I doubt he will be killed off, but you never know. Hopefully when he recovers from Azula's attack, it will be a wake-up call for him. He should really learn to control the Avatar state.

Well, I suppose he could die, anything is possible and all. But I really, really doubt it. He's the main character, and it's a Nick show. So ... yeah. I just think he'll be okay.

Well, hopefully before he dies he'll at least teach airbending to someone else so that the airbenders don't go completely extinct. o_o;

Everyone is right, there IS a possibility that Aang can die; however, I too seriously doubt it. One, Nick is a kid's channel, I don't think they'll promote death to those 7-10 year olds who also watch it, among us grown-ups and teenagers. Second, what if they decide to do a sequel? True, sequels don't necessarily need the main character from the prequel to be there, but what if?

As of right now, and from the last scenes of season two's finale, Aang doesn't seem like he's going to die anytime soon. Perhaps like what black dahlia99 said, but it is still doubtful. Ask yourselves, when has Nick ever permitted a show's main character to die, let alone let ANY character die on their programming?

TECHNICALLY, Princess Yue died. :0 And Avatar is a different type of show from the other stuff on Nick, too. It has a plot with a definate beginning and end, which was planned before even first airing to unfold over a set amount of time and episodes, like anime.

I think its a possibility that the show would end with the death of either Aing or Kitara. Zuko will probably die also.
