To Become A Leader [Leadership Rules]In order to become one of the leaders of one of the nations* in Avatar you must have the following:
Becoming A Leader:
The leader to be requires a minimum rank of [MB]-8, [Min]-8, or [Msr]-8. The leader-to-be requires a minimum of three [LB]-6 followers. These followers must be unshakably loyal to the leader. For the sake of clarity these followers will be called 'Lieutenants'. These lieutenants, however, may have different names in the roleplay ('General', 'Lower Lord', ect). RPCs of the Assassin or Fighter faction must be at least [Msr]-6 or [Min]-6 to become lieutenants. All three of the [LB]-6 lieutenants may wish to possess a Second in Command who would need to be a maximum of three levels beneath them. (example: If one of the prime followers were a [MB]-9 bender then that person's lieutenant would need to have a minimum rank of [LB]-6.) The SiC doesn't need to have any followers, but it is recommended that (s)he has some NPC followers beneath him/her. So, in total, one leader needs the support of roughly 3-6 people in order to attain leadership of their nation. In the case of there being more than one leader vying for power, the chosen leader will be chosen in one of the following ways: a duel between the two contenders, a vote, or a free for all battle in a designated area (Crew decides where). More on these three things, and other possibilities, will be listed in the next post. Once you have those four things accomplished (three things if there is no competition for the leadership) you must PM Humbra, the Guild Captain, that you've 'taken over' the nation.

Competition For The Throne?If there is a case where a). there is already a leader b). or there are numerous group vying for power over the nation, there will be a set 'event' to decide the leader of the nation. As said in the previous post the leader will be chosen in a contest/event. These events are outlined as thus and must be agreed upon by all parties. A thread will be made where the people fighting will be allowed to vote.
It should be noted, though, a faction 'dies out' or is 'knocked out of the running' when a). their leader dies or b). one of the leader's lieutenants dies. Replacing the fallen RPCs will not renew the fighting where it left off.
Choices:
A Heroes Fight! Enguard!~ One on One Duel In order to resolve the challenge between two factions, a duel between the two leaders may be done to settle whom should be the leader of the country. The leaders may have a champion step in for them if they are unwilling, or unfit, to fight in the duel.
There is only one rule to this fight: there can be no outside influence from other people or animals. Setting up traps previous to the battle is allowed.
War! Attack The Enemy Forces!~ A Battle Where There Are Two Or More Sides Fighting In One Place This, simply enough, is a fight between all sides vying for leadership. Each of the factions fighting must have their three Lieutenants in the fighting thread. The victor of the battle is decided when one of the Lieutenants die, thusly making one of the requirements void. Or if the Leader is in the battle, and he/she dies, the faction that lost its leader now cannot assume power over the nation.
Vote! It's Your Choice As A Citizen! A Vote With A 50%+1 Majority This is the most peaceful, and normally the quickest, method of deciding the leader of a nation. A thread will be created for the nation under revolution and the people in the nation will post who they want to be the leader of their nation. It will not be a poll, since polls can be voted in by any of the people in the guild.
However, if those three primary choices do not 'work' for your group, there are these possible choices to take part in. Although the crew considers this thread 'the thread' dealing with leadership-oriented fighting, we may have forgotten about certain types of combat/contests/events used to set up leaderships. If you, as an aspiring leader, wish to do something special- just post in the Question/Suggestions thread with your idea.
The Other Ideas:
Ah! Assassins!~ Assassins Attempt To Kill Your Opponents! This option requires a group to have at least one Assassin classed RPC working under them or with them. Once the assassin(s) have been chosen by the main leaders they will attempt to kill the opposing leader. The leader that survives will be the new leader of the nation.
The Fighting Will Not Stop! Revolution!~ Massive Fighting Between Factions In The Nation For A Prolonged Period This is a different type of Free For All battle than that described earlier. This fighting is not regulated to one thread and is over the whole forum. That includes other nations, as well. This option allows for the separate group to battle it out whenever they spot each other, or where ever they set traps for one another. This choice lasts until one of the opponent's leader dies, or till the opposing factions lose interest in the revolution.

Leader's and Lieutenant's NPC 'Guard' ControlAll leaders and Lieutenants are allowed to control and roleplay a group of 'personal' NPC guards. These guards are used to defend the kingdom from domestic, foreign, and other happenings. Usually they are used as a 'police force', and sometimes even as a KGB-/Interpol-/CSIS-/CIA-like organization. Each nation's guards are listed in the NPC Thread.
Rules About These NPCs:
#1: These None Player Characters (NPCs) shall be given just as much respect as normal Player Characters (RPCs). So no auto hitting, or god modding, against these troops. #2: None of these guards can be used outside of the Lieutenant's/Leader's nation. #3: A maximum of ten of these guards can be in any one thread at one time. This excludes any army related, government related, defence related, and judiciary related threads.
