Nope. He was a real cool villain but... he's finished. Well, they might bring him back, but I don't think they really should. And I think that the chances of them bringing him back aren't very high. Not because he isn't awesome and all, it's just... one of those things I think they should just leave, you know?

I wouldn't mind if they did, but the thing about him is he's like the song that never ends. You know? "Some people started singing it not knowing what it was, And now they'll just keep singing it on and on forever..." If you bring him back, you have to keep bringing him back. On and on forever. No one will believe it if he gets finished off for good again! Just try getting rid of him again.

I thought he died? Properly died, that is. I'm Chris by the way, if anyone's interested...

Hi, Chris!
I believe the Master may return. RTD does a fondness for returning baddies.

And he's been dead enough to count numerous times, and well and truly dead a couple of times too, hasn't he? Isn't it that once upon a time, he got killed every week? Even if he just came back as some sort of transparent eel...

I'm pretty sure the Master will be back, sooner or later. I think the temptation to bring back one of the Doctor's greatest foes from the classic series will just be too great to keep him away forever. If nothing else, the hype surrounding it would be a good ratings booster, like the return of the Daleks and Cybermen. And if they keep the pattern of bringing back one classic enemy per season, he's a logical choice (otherwise you dip into the 2nd tier baddies... Ice Warriors, Sontarans, Yeti, etc.)
A couple tabloids are claiming the Master will be back this year, played by John Simm. Another source claims its Michael Sheen. Of course the tabloids tend to be pretty hit-or-miss when it comes to these kinds of major spoilers, so who knows? A while back they claimed a specific actress was playing the Rani this year, but that rumor was eventually quashed by the BBC.

Pirpi-Chan well as perhaps with the whole "LOL DOCTOR HAZ A SON!" maybe... MAYBE... his son is.. ZEE MASTAH! *time paradox'd* it might happen D8 Well, unless Susan was adopted, I'd suppose he has to have a kid...
gonk Let's just say she wasn't adopted, but the stork brought whomever the Doctor's kid was who ended up having her. I think I can just about deal with that. Imagining him with a wife and... and them doing it... I might have to curl up into a fetal position and die. I know that's unfair to him, but it's like how young kids, when they first find out about the birds and the bees, are horrified to realize their parents must have done that.
And it isn't necessarily a time paradox, if the Master is Susan's father. Unless the Doctor has more than one kid. gonk Actually, don't Susan and the Master look similarish? Of course, for Time Lords, that means nothing, except the Master somehow had the remarkable ability to not look much different when he regenerated...
Maybe Time Lords really do come from Looms or whatever, and a consistent appearance is the mark of one who was born naturally. Am I off-topic?... I think so. gonk

I don't know if the Master will return or not. It would be sort of odd if he did because, like Lullabee said, they would have to keep bringing him back again and again. Still, I like watching the original Master (the first one, played by Roger Delgado). *sigh* Oh well...

Surely the BBC have made enough mone of the new Doctor Who that they could afford to invest in a Raising-The-Dead machine - then we could have the BEST master(s) back, the originals. That I would have no complaints about.

There's no point in being grown-up...
Unless they can bring back Anthony Ainsley or bring the Late Great Roger Delgado back from the dead, I just want them to leave the master alone.
What they did to his character in that horrid movie was unforgivable. I hope they let him rest in peace. I want to remember my Master the way he used to be. blaugh Doctor Who's Best evil baddie you loved to hate!!
...if you can't be childish sometimes.

Well the Daleks have made several returns, most notably of the baddies.. I wouldn't want them to mess with the master, although as the Daleks are coming back, he might too.. gonk

The Daleks coming back has always been fine with me. I love it! blaugh and we've all known they were going to be back again since the end of Doomsday. That sneaky bugger and his emergency time shift. lol
I just can't see a good way to bring the Master back that wouldn't somehow make him less the dashing, sophisticated villain he used to be. Ah phooey...who am I kidding. I'll watch no matter what they do...I can't hate Doctor Who. rolleyes
