Hello hello! I am georgie, and accepted an invite to join. Here's hoping more people do the same, so we can foster good conversation.
Onto the questions!
Years working with horses: gosh, since before I could walk, I think. The horse bug runs in the (extended) family, so I was exposed to horses from a very young age. Current disciplines: I did dressage for a while, but after college I bought a colt, and now most of my time is spent training him using natural horsemanship (a mixture of Parelli and other wisdoms I come across). Yes, I own my own horse. His name is Merlyn (Welsh for 'pony'), registered name Goldhill's Gin-N-Tonic. He's a section D Welsh Cob, black with star and one white sock, and he should finish around 15.1 hands. I haven't taken lessons in many years, so no fav lesson horses, sadly. Anything else would be that I'm vegan, and am always looking for creative ways to avoid leather, hair, etc. when doing horsie shopping. I consider equestrian endeavours to be vegan-friendly so long as the horse is considered part of a team, and is treated with respect and compassion. I like things like bitless bridles, treeless saddles, barefoot trimming, and other things that are general improvements on the archaic trends that persist in the horseworld today.
And... that's all for the moment! Pictures soon, hopefully!

Charlotte here, from Colorado. I had to sell my horse lately since I had to pay for college. My previous girls were a TB named Golden Opportunity and a Hanovarian named Phoenix. Miss them both greatly, and really want to adopt a mustang. I have been riding for 12 years English, competitve hunter jumper, here in the CHJA - Colorado Hunter Jumper Association. My riding goal is to train my own mustang from scratch, as my old girls were partially trained already. Nice to meet you all, and I think I will have fun in this guild!
