Flarn's recent comments have me very worried. He seems to think that the lightnrgy that people are forcefeeding him is really killing him.
Now, I don't feel that feeding him darknrgy is healthy either, so the question remains:
How SHOULD we treat Flarn?
Well, if he really is an addict, then we shouldn't expect him to switch straight from dark to light overnight. The strain would be too much.
I advise we try to take this in stages. First of all, we don't give him Darknrgy.
Hopefully, we're already doing that.
So for now, the thing to do would probably be to acclimate him to small, SMALL amounts of lightnrgy. Things such as politeness. In other words, I would encourage you to treat him like a normal Gaian: In a polite, civil manner. Nothing too extreme. No "OMFG FLARN WE LOVE YOU! *TACKLEHUGS*"
Things like "Hello, Flarn. How are you?"
What are your thoughts?

Treat him as a normal citizen x3 and.. Mother should really capture Flarn if she cares about him.. And take care of Flarn... But, this whole mess started when Flarn got off(or on) Darknrgy right?(Zooeep stopped feeding him?)

I wouldn't be surprised if his body was going into shock due to the enormous amount of lightnrgy the Believers are giving him. His being addicted to darknrgy doesn't help either, but like other addictions, we shouldn't stop him cold turkey.
Like you said, start him off in steps. Politeness and the like.
It's going to take some time, especially since Mother hasn't really found him yet and taken care of him.

Everyone seems to think that he can just... get over Darknrgy, like it is a drug. He is going to die and it will be everyone's fault. Not only that but with everyone focused on Flarn... Mother is free to do what she wants..
I think we need to find a way to save him so that he can tell us what is going on once again... by being in a neutral stance, we can help him. The other day he showed up in the Believer's Thread. we were all just talking and he showed up. He said "..." and we all said hi and he disappeared. No Water Meat or overly happy things were going on. We nned to just... act ourselves near him. Give him his space and not smother him.

Omega Will Not only that but with everyone focused on Flarn... Mother is free to do what she wants.. That is true, and plus Mother is observing us very closely so if we were to hurt Flarn(Like with this event) I bet Mother reaction is going to be "... You gaians do not know what you are doing! You aren't helping those who need help, instead you are hurting them even more" or some reaction like that. Anyways, we should send a note to all organzation and let them balance out the Lightnrgy and the Darknrgy, er.. telling them steps actually how to react to Flarn, or we can just ignore Flarn when he postes(Which will balance out the light and darknrgy? Maybe?). Crap, I'm confusing myself.

EEp! We have two threads!
I am of the opinion that there are too many people in the Believers thread trying to kill him who don't realize the hurt they are causing him. I think you should talk to wandering and get her (if possible) to post a GiB-Announcement on the first page of the Believers thread to better our chances of getting whatever plan we come up withj to work ^^

@Illiot: I don't believe that Mother should get her hands on Flarn until he goes to her willingly. And the start of this mess is rather... tangled.

@Illiot Again: I don't think ignoring Flarn is the right answer. Wouldn't YOU get pissed if you were having problems and everyone ignored YOU?
@Zi: Good idea. I'll start talking to Wandering about this. Maybe we can get their cooperation.

I was just checking up on Flarn's posts. I must say that I am very troubled by this. I also must say that I am even MORE troubled over what the Believers are doing. Smothering him with LIGHTNRGY is just hurting him, but the Believers don't seem to realized the destructive potential of what they're doing.

I'm fond of the idea of contacting Wandering, the Believers and random and assorted fangirls seem to be the largest contributors of lightnrgy. TIM is contacting Wandering, but what do we do about people who aren't in an organization? Make a thread somewhere?

Prevention on their collective tails..... We could come up with a GiB-like thing to say, quote it, and paste it everytime some one does that.....

(the first step is to admit you have a problem! XD)
But since Flarn probably won't do that, I agree that we should give him small doses of diluted lightnrgy first, and increase the amount a bit each week.
I agree with Korrigan up there: we should inform the public by creating some public-education thread-- especially with all the n00bs and fangirls out there who pounce on NPCs to try and get a few minutes of attention to squeal over. (OK, I admit that I'm a fangirl too. But an informed one. XD) I really think that fangirls who don't really know much about what is going on are the biggest threat. After all, the Believers have Flarn's best interests in mind- but the well meaning fangirls will probably give him such a huge amounts of glomps and capital letter love that he'll die from shock.
