Things you should consider:
~Detail
--If you don't want your story to be boring, try adding detail to it. Don't repeat the same words over and over again, try new ones that mean the same meaning. But as I say this, don't go overboard and look for giganto words that you think sounds story-worthy and is the word you think you're looking for, yet you don't even know what the heck it really means. What's the point if you can't even understand your own writing?
~spelling/grammar mistakes and edit if you need to
--Go over your story and look for possible, careless mistakes. While doing this, you might actually find words or sentences you want to re-do.
~as slight oocness as possible
--I know it may be hard to write a "Valentine's Day" themed story without Sasuke ooc wink , but try to make your characters as IC as you can.
