http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TAK10695&mode=retail&picture=outI feel pretty safe in saying that this is probably the one Transformers product that almost every fan has been waiting twenty years for. "An inventive combination of exciting products, the new Soundwave MP3 player features an all new character mold and fully functional integrated digital music player! Soundwave is available in two colors, the more traditional blue color scheme and also an all white color scheme in honor of the iPod. Soundwave's cassette door opens to reveal a Mini SD card reader (Mini SD card is not included). Batteries are requierd, but not included, we are currently not sure what size batteries are required. More information about this cool new MP3 player will be posted as we receive it. Pick your favorite color or save $15 and get both together in a set! The MP3 player will function in both cassette mode and robot mode. We expect this figure to be slightly smaller than the G1 Soundwave so it can fit comfortably in your pocket. The edges are slightly rounded and it has a smooth look overall in player mode. "

And, as if that weren't enough: http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/docs/20070123/toyf1.htmTranslated/summarized by Quezovercoatl: Photos of the musical items were not allowed. Convoy Playing iPod Speaker is due out in July and costs 15750 yen. Soundwave Playing Audio Player is 10500 yen, also out in July. Frenzy and Rumble Playing Earphones, July, 3150 yen. Head-phone type, goes over the ear. There are cuts in the disc-shaped ear parts of the headphone, and arms and legs come out. It makes it look like the robot has the unit (ear unit?) on its back.Reading that again just chokes me up inside. I cannot verbalize how ineffably, sublimely awesome this news is. Now is a very good time to be a Transformers fan. crying <--(tears of joy) (The Convoy iPod speaker it refers to is a white Convoy with a iPod docking station for a trailer, as seen in here. It does not move me nearly as much as Soundwave MP3 player and Rumble/Frenzy headphones.)

Sorry, I had missed it. But, considering that it isn't actually under the Classics label, it should probably have its own thread anyway.

gosh... now I have to decide if I really want to toss my current mp3 player to get this one... crying
I think the docking station is stupid though. I think Apple is trying to use the fans and manipulate them into buying that for their ipods. So sly... stressed

Decepticon smart almost... stare It's stupid because for the ones who already have an ipod they probably already have the docking station. Besides they could have been more creative and make it look cooler. It just looks like the regular station on wheels. It's almost like the pepsi bottle holder... except this one has a function sweatdrop . I wonder if it actually transforms though.

Hi Mylian,
SWEET eek heart ! I've never owned an MP3 player before because I'm technologically challenged, but this might give me a good excuse to buy one. I probably can't load anything on it without a lot of help.

Soundwave as a MP3 player question I guess the toy makers need to figure out new forms for Rumble, Laserbeak, Ravage, and the rest of the Decepticons cassettes.
