The night was cold,
And grim was the mood.
I watched the world pass by,
Knowing what I had to do.
In the chariot I sat, breath afrost,
I watched you come to me.
If ever there was a moment I wish could be different,
It would be the one I now describe.
You smiled at me with lips I longed to kiss,
I could nothing but look away.
You reached out your loving arms,
I could do nothing but hold them at bay.
You asked me what was wrong,
All I could do was die a little inside.
In five worlds I ruined everything we built,
The Romans would have been proud.
I reached out with deaft hands,
All you could do was recoil.
Without thinking I kissed you,
All you could do was cry.
In love I have fallen,
Is the only reason I could tell you.
You are beautiful,
I said.
You are strong,
I said.
You made me a better person,
I said.
You deserve more than me,
I said.
Goodbye.

I'm sorry if this is a piece of crap, poetry isn't my fortay. Its pretty obvious what its about, but for those who aren't capable of reading between the lines its how I felt about breaking up with my girlfriend of 4 years and friend of 7.
May she find it in herself to forgive me,

Demon...
When you are in a better mood, edit the poem. If you wish to send it to her, edit more. If you want her forgiveness.... Ask. It is all that anyone can do. She may find forgiveness, but you must ask to truly receive it.
Of course, there is very little to forgive. The method, maybe, as the poem might explain, but it seems as if it merely...didn't work. If she is smart--and she must be, if you went out for such a time--then she will soon learn that this is for the best.

And after that little speech about being sick of poetry.
Demon, I'm actually a little surprised at this poem. It doesn't seem like something you would write, which makes it all the more upsetting. I can tell you're hurting.
It'll get better. It may get worse before it gets better, but it WILL get better. I have so many questions for you, being the "motherly" type I want to take you to my breast and have you tell me all of what happened, then nod and hug you a little. Perhaps give you some motherly advice. But alas, it is none of my business. xp

No, most people don't expect me to have things like feelings and emotions, especially off the internet. But hey, I'm only human, I gues you could hold that against me?
I'm not really hurting, its more just trying to find an outlet for those "feelings". When you've got someone to pour your troubles and happiness into for 4 years and suddenly you stop it, it's like damming a river, you need to start from the top and ebb it off as you go down stream. Or, you find another river to flow into. In my own ignorance, I'm doing both, stemming the flow and hoping that a smaller river will accept me. Though my fingers aren't crossed.
I don't mind sharing my life, I'm brutally honest about everything, if you want to know, just ask or PM me. I am because when I ask, I half-expect an answer and prep myself for what I'm going to say to get that answer. I value knowledge over many things, it's only fair to be just as giving.
Don't worry about the motherly thing, I haven't had a great mother in years, I just live with someone who holds that title. As it goes, I probably broke up with the only person that cared. But as the old saying goes, there's plenty more fish in the sea, that was cold...
That's my sentimentality for the day.
