Wednesday, January 17, there was a meeting in towns. A rather important meeting. It included Ms. Zooeep (06), Mother, and the leaders of all the factions who signed the peace treaty, myself included. It lasted over four hours.
I will attempt to summarize what went on.
The meeting was arranged through cooperation between Designergrl, The Zurg Hive, and Ms. Zooeep. Word had spread that Mother intended to take control of Gaia, for it's own good. We wanted to show her that through our efforts for peace, such intervention was unnecessary.
We learned from Mother that this was indeed the case.
When the aliens first came to Gaia, they came seeking one thing:
Power. The blast that split the Gambinos attracted them here, in search of the source of such a powerful burst of energy.
However, the more time Mother spent on Gaia, the more she became fond of its inhabitants. Over time, she began to think of us as her children, like her 12 UFOs.
But she was disturbed by what she saw. She claimed that because of our self-destructive tendency for hatred and greed, we would end up destroying ourselves.
The amount of time she predicted we would have without her intervention was no more than five years.
The man she predicted would be responsible:
Gambino himself.
The means:
G-VIRUS.
She told us that the only way to be saved was to "treat" us, as she had Flarn. It would take away all our negative emotions... and all the positive ones, too. And most likely our free will with it.
Most of the rest of the meeting was spent letting each leader speak to mother in turn, to convince her that we are capable of saving ourselves, and that if we would work together, Gaian and Zurg, we could overcome our problems without such drastic measures.
Mother listened and responded throughout the meeting. At the end, she said that the meeting had been enlightening, and that she had made her decision.
And that it would be revealed soon.
I took 296 screenshots of the event, which I will need some time editing before I can present them to you. Many others are putting together a complete chatlog, and I will pass that on to all of you as soon as possible.
In the meantime, all we can do is wait, and make ready.
Whatever Mother's decision...
We will keep our freedom.

[ Just Another Face ]: Mother. I realize that the time here has presented mixed emotions ranging hatred to fear... But we Gaians... we are just like the Zurg. We are trying to understand you. Many of us want peace. Peace that will last forever. And I need to be honest... We see you, and we see that you threatened the normality and routine of our lives, and we became animals. As would any being.
But it is not just you, or the family. But everyone alive. We all had a hand in it. The chaos is on EVERYONE'S head!

If we were just allowed to fix that mistake... We could repair our world! I would stake my life on it. I swear that to you.
With the BLOOD running in my viens, I would stake Gaia's success.

[ Just Another Face ]: We may be at a point where we are underevolved as a race... But if you allowed us time, then we could become a culture as your own. One of great knowledge!
If I may make a final statement before stepping down... Mother. You said that you would fix a mistake. And I personally made enough hatred of all that Dark Energy out there... But I want to make it up. I want to fix it. I have evolved in mind, if nothing else. I would, with all honesty, give my own life to restore Flarn's. Because he was innocent! He was INNOCENT!

Lorelei Yeager: May I speak? Mother, I am a mother myself, and I have children, as well as running a shelter. They had nowhere to go, no one to turn to, and I was their last hope. If humans are not capable of giving hope and peace, such as my shelter or this meeting, than how is that we can fail?
If the majority help, want peace, or just realize that the fighting is worthless, can that not be seen as a change for the better?

But a few have already been trying to come up with a way to counter darknrgy. I know it's forbidden on your planet, but there is no law against it here. Maybe we can help because of that.

The wandering mind...: Mother, I'd like to say that I'm sorry your heart was broken so by Gambino, I know that hurts. But the happiness you had, even if for a little while, is it not worth it?

I know that you don't trust me, probably with good reason, but please, trust us as a whole, trust those who have never harmed you and never will. But we all have to be willing, and we aren't, not for the measures you wish to take.

Mother, I know we seem weak, and I know that, at times, it seems as though we only have the possibility of causing pain and inducing hatred, jealousy, and other negative emotions....I know it seems like we need protection, and as though we're only leading ourselves down a path to destruction, but that's not the case.
There is strength in each of us, in our beliefs, in our emotions, in our attachments-- in every part of us. It seems invisible sometimes, but it's there. It's always there. Especially now. Look what good we've done in these past few weeks....

Mother, I know that you are here with a goal to establish and maintain order and peace on Gaia by becoming supreme ruler over our world. You mention Gaian nature so much, our nature that leads us to be rebellious and wage war.
However, if you suppress all evil on our planet, there will have to be a path for it to escape, as good must coexist with evil at an equal level. Where does it all go?
If there is to be no evil, no conflict between Gaians, then there is only one route that evil can take to leave the planet...our planet that have intergalactic transport... Knowing the intricacies of the universe better than we do, it seems natural that the Zurg would understand the mechanics of the balance of good and evil, light and darkness...
And yet, it seems to me that by letting our evilness flow through you to escape our planet, you are essentially letting yourself become corrupted...If you care for your family's corruption, how can you not care for what could happen to yourself?
Therefore, I know that absolute rule over all of Gaia through an intergalactic species such as yourselves is not a good idea. Instead, I am sure that the best route to peace would be a thorough think over and planning of the future of Gaia based upon non-violence and message-spreading.

I may be the only one but...
Remember when you first joined? You'd wait a while to get the acceptance PM [which would take day or two - making it seem elite] and you'd get that 'mysterious' attitude from out of nowhere? Sneaking around Towns, spying on UFO convos [and scannings], staying up and taking pictures of meetings -- just crazy stuff because you were an agent. When you'd stay around the GCD and event thread, putting 'Agent ___ Reporting' and 'Agent ____ Signing Out' at the beginning and end of your posts?
When people wanted in like crazy when we got mentioned in the plot and you'd sit back at watch as others tried to form groups such as ours [and the Believers] and try to make it into plot comics and such? Nobody wants in or 'reports' anymore 'cause all we're doing is being all lovery-dovery.
The dedication ran that deep. Everyone wanted to join but couldn't -- nowadays all you have to do is make up another 'organization' and PM someone in charge saying 'We want to form an alliance.' Most of the agents aren't even around anymore. Most aren't even in uniform [this includes me] which shows, whether it's admitted or not, a lowering show of interest. GIW? C'mon. GIB: Code ___ C'mon. I mean, not to disrespect them or anything but... C'MON.

I posted some information there sweatdrop But not too many people seem to go and post in the subforum. The thing is, right now there's no new information to research. Things have slowed down terribly, being that people doesn't ask important questions to UFOs anymore (simply because they don't answer them), and the important [NPC] don't show up.

+--I was afraid of this. I have an old bond with the Gambino family. I fought for the rule of Johnny during the Von Helson war, and made a lot of good friends during it. Knowing that my old leader may be up to something... I don't know, it's hard. Makes on feel a bit torn. I will side with the GIB at the end of the day, in the hopes of making Gambino see the light, still.... I still feel bad about this whole thing.
As for the data collection, I believe we should go back to our old roots. 06 still shows up in the 1919 area in the towns. We should have the agents start staking out for awhile. We also should get back into our uniforms, to show who we are whilst in the towns. I remember the last time I talked to 06 I found some good information. However, I never got to printscreen the response due to it starting over. If other agents had of been there, one of us would have been bound to get it.
We need to get our butts in gear. Get old agents back! Figure out who wants to stay for real and those who just don't care. Perhaps we should put up a link to the forum thread in here to make it easier to find.
Another sticky should be made for squad groups again. Each squad assigned to a specific alien to keep an eye on. Keep them on their toes.--+
