A new scam has popped up in which users give people "surveys". These surveys are a violation of the TOS as it does not allow collection of user's personal information.

The big danger here is that they ask questions that users possibly used as their Security Questions for password recovery. Please report these types of PMs or threads to the moderators (purple).

DO NOT FILL THEM OUT. Especially if you see some questions you used for Security Questions in there.

gaia_administration1@hotmail.com is sending e-mails to a bunch of people and so I have noticed, please do not answer the mail, its a scam she/he will say:
Dear gaian,

Due to previous hacking problems displaying your e-mail address is no longer recommended on gaia. Because of said hacking problems I am afraid it is required of you to fill in the information below for account confirmation, please send these details back VIA e-mail and thank you for participating in keeping gaia safe from hackers and identity theft specialists.

Birthday:

Password:

Confirm password:

Friends (if any):

Failure to return this information VIA e-mail will result in either the freezing or banning of said account until this information is confirmed, sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for making gaia a safer community.

... see how it s asking for birthday? what for? just to rob your trust into losing your account, and why would it ask for friends hmm?? so i suggest you to be very careful

Whenever you are presented with a login screen, please check to make sure you are on a Gaia domain (www.gaiaonline.com) and not a spoofed site that looks similar to the login site. Especially if you see it while you know you are already logged in.
