It semi-is.
I bought it because I just love FMA and would probably want to watch it over and over again.
It's pretty good, but the ending is quite disappointing. If you can handle a disappointing ending, then go ahead and get it.

heart the movie was really good and i have a sneaky supision(sp?) that they are going to make another movie or a spinoff of the series or something just b/c of the ending...also if u have never seen the last like 3 eps you will not understand half the movie so ya... heart

The movie was really, really good, but I don't like dubs. AT ALL. D:
So I suggest you watch it with subtitles on; otherwise, Ed sounds retarded. [Actually, they all sound retarded]
If you DO watch the movie, you need to watch the series first. It's confusing enough as it is; if you watch it without having seen the entire series, you'll be very, very confused. sweatdrop

in my opinion, the series as a whole is completely better than the movie. However, I liked the movie's ending better than the series' ending

You gotta get the collectors edition if your ganna buy it. It's true what they said about the ending but I still think it's worth it. Sooo many regular characters die. I won't say who though.

It's a great movie, but really I would have wanted a different ending... It's kinda sad. I was expecting something more.

It was pretty good didn't really like the ending though.
However, sinc they put an alt-Hughes they should've pit an alt-Kimblee!!!!
