All you have to do is demonstrate paranormal or supernatural ability in a controlled scientific experiment and you win a million dollars. A lot of you have probably heard about this but probably never knew if it was legitimate or what the contact info was.

I actually came across this some time before. I would really like to try for it, if I had the talent to. I would love to do something like this, because I'm guessing it's mostly the crackpots who try these.

Its bullshit becuase they use things to restrict you from using your abillities. My friend did it and he said he was drained almost instantly before he tried to do it

I just read it, and I feel a rage towards that old man after I read this part:
To date, no one has ever passed the preliminary tests.
Jerk. -.-

I've heard about the draining thing that sucks. Then again sounds like my kind of thing. I've had nothing left sometimes then: WHOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHH! A barrier breaks and a flood comes through.

gwinivere You've actually visited the site and read his FAQ, right? sweatdrop I have, yes. I don't know about the rest of the people here. I would like to try it, but I intend to practice more, as well as consult with the more scientifically minded to make sure what I'm doing doesn't have a scientific explanation.

gwinivere That would be a good idea to practice more. Good luck. I don't plan on doing it anytime soon. Probably six months to a year at the minimum.

Yes, good luck with that. Please prove that not everyone with a scientific naturalist point of view is out to sabotage these sorts of things.

Randi's out to prove he's right. He's placing the burden of proof on anyone who asserts paranormal ability. He isn't draining anyone. The purpose of any western scientific endeavor is to isolate a phenomenon and determine its replicatability. As such, if special circumstances need to be in place, this isolation removes elements that may be integral to a phenomenon.
I've read the FAQ, and I think that it's an excellent treatise on the Western scientific method and thinking. However, I also believe that it really can't explain nor properly show true paranormality.
Also, nothing is supernatural. But that's another story altogether.

But that may be BS I doubt it. Not only does he have other observers presesnt, if anyone passes the challenge according to the specifications set down by him, and he does not recognize it or award them the million dollars, he can successfully be sued for it. And I doubt your rumors come from golden sources, so to say.
