So, does anyone have any good ideas for Lolita-type gifts to give out this holiday season? Or have given out in the past, for birthdays or other holidays? I don't mean, as in you're giving your Amalolita friend a Baby, The Stars Shine Bright apron, (if you are, yes, I want to be your friend, too! xD), but a gift that a Lolita would give, like a hand stitched handkerchief, or rose-scented sachets. ^-^ Post your gift suggestions, and creative ways to wrap them, too!!! I'm sure we'd all love to hear about them!
As for me, I'm just baking a mountain of cookies, wrapping a bunch of them in plastic, then tissue paper, then tying on a ribbon. neutral Not too exciting, huh? I'm sure a lot of you all are doing a lot nicer than me. sweatdrop

I like nice little trinket necklaces and other types of jewelery to give to friends. There's also awesome bags. Then there is also making them like scarfs or hats (since it is around Christmas), among other things knitted or sewn. Oh, there are sooo many possibilities. 3nodding I love shopping. whee

♪ Why live a life that's tainted with pity and sadness and strife? ♪ Sadly, none of my friends are into lolita. Oh well, I suppose I can wrap their gifts and decorate them in a manner that is very loli. I'm sure that the boys won't mind...too much. whee ♪ Why bother bothering for another poem or another sad song to sing? ♪

Since I work at our local Goodwill(I don't care what people say. 1.it's not a place ran by idiots 2.it's a very ingenious way to get money) I get to see alot of very original pieces of clothing. Some being pretty, some not so pretty. I usually end up buying something from work and then taking it home and modifying it into some better and giving those as presents. I have been doing this for alil over a year and have made my friends very happy. This is what I believe to be loli, taking the ugly and making it beautiful.

My sister gave me a very elegant porcelain doll named Lucy. eek It's cute and sleeps next to my bed and my sewing machine. I'm going to buy her something cute when I go to Massachusetts, and then wrap it with lots of bows and ribbons and maybe some lace or eyelet. xD;

I was going to make gingerbread cookies in dinosaur cutouts and creme-filled chocolates and then wrap them in cute clear paper. But that idea fell through and I just didn't get anyone anything... Except for Ryan. I bought him the Battle-wounded Luke Skywalker and Tauntaun 12" figure he wanted and that was missing from his collection. P: As well as $25 gift-certificate to Toys-R-Us. x3 And I'm gonna wrap it up ion CareBears Christmas paper I found at the Dollar General. biggrin I plan on adding ribbons and stuff to it too. I may not though...I'm just really disheartened this Christmas. sad

To Seraphynthetic: neutral *hugs* Don't worry. The Christmas spirit will come. Just wait until the people around you start to act like it. It's infectious. 3nodding Until then, be sure to notice the pretty decorations that must be going up now! One day, I would love to decorate my house like the people of the Victorian era decorated theirs for Christmas.
To Nezumi Kakashi: That's so lovely. ^-^ If you can, take a picture of her in a pretty dress sometime!! 4laugh
To Kozi Usagi: Working at Goodwill doesn't seem strange or low class to me at all, really.. It seems very noble to me. confused That's a very cool idea, though. Often you can find nice things for cheap. And if you can sew, that opens many possibilities for modifications. ^-^ Good for you!
To Raining_blood_tears: Ooh, did make chocolates using a mold, or did you make truffles, or cover things in chocolate.... *_* What a neat idea. ^-^ I should definitely try that sometime, maybe next year!
Ah~ all of these are really nice ideas. ^_^

For my friends I made cookies ((they're made up of a thin layer of cookie, icing, and then another thin layer of cookie and taste delicious! the icing was light pink for the hearts, and light blue and light green for the bells)). And then I made my friends tree ornaments ^^ I got a kit to make ornaments look stained glass like ^^

I made a few presents for my friends for Christmas, though most of the gifts I gave my friends were store-bought.
I always make sure that I'm giving a friend somthing which fits thier personality. 3nodding
Among the hand-made things I gave to friends were purses, scarves, clay figures, drawings, hand-bound sketchbooks, plushies, clothing, and jewellery. I really love to make things, and will often give my friends little 'just because' presents that I make.
As far as wrapping goes, I usually wrap things in pretty paper and accent them with satin ribbons. heart
