Okay, so I kinda know this mind-control thing, right?
I kinda tell my sorta-manipulative-friend, who likes to get her way, but I believed she would make the right decision and not use it unless something bad happens.
Well, now she's got everyone she knows wrapped around her finger by performing this technique, and now I'm beginning to think it wasn't such a good idea teaching her.
Now, I have a few questions:
Did I do the smart thing?
Did I do the right thing?
What would be the best action to take?

Use a binding spell. If you don't do magick...

Beat her with a pan.

EDIT: Please note that really you don't have to do anything, karma should come and bite her a** pretty hard.

Aw, it's ok. You believed in the goodness of a person, and know one can fault you for that.

Yeah, wait for karma. Or find a technique that ******** up the one she's using now.

You speak of the bastardized Western idea of Karma. Karma only has an effect on reincarnation.

What is this "mind control" technique? lol

You reap what you sow? Doesn't sound too westernized to me.

Anyone who habitually uses dishonest means of winning friends and influencing people either reinforces their own complete lack of self-confidence ("I can only have friends if I trick them into liking me") or else starts to buy their own press ("I'm so great, nobody can resist my cool skills"). Either one has a tendency to result in bad things happening to the abuser. Let her mess herself up.

And I'm pretty sure Res is right about karma. Americans have sort of simplified it to mean something different, probably because they're not too big overall on the idea of reincarnation, and aren't patient enough to wait that long anyway. I haven't studied it in-depth, but...the Law of Causality is pretty clearly restricted to predicting difficulties in the next life, not this one. Then again, that's only the Chinese version.

"You reap what you sow" is, of course, a rather universal concept, but again that's a gross oversimplification of the rules of karma.

I would say bind her if you are woried about it, ******** over what she can do before she starts ******** with other people unneccesarily. you already started the ball rolling by even teaching her, but if you are worried about what she is going to do ******** her abilities over would be a good way to minimize any potential damage, if you don't know how to, I'll help you out, all I need is her first and last name and I can bind her so she'll never be able to practice when she has a manipulative cause,

Use the mind control on her.

My thoughts exactly.

True Karma only effects reincarnation. It's the total sum of your positive/negative actions and how they affect what level you are reborn on. (ie What caste or if you're particularly bad, what kind of animal or plant.)

Westernized Karma is "...goes around, comes around.", "You reap what you sow.", etc.

Not really. Here's a quote from a book found through Google Scholar. It says, quote,
Quote:
Every action has a reaction and that whatever youve done to others will later return to you, in this or another life."

Plus a PDF by Damian Keown:
He
1. All actions for which we can be held morally accountable and which are done out of desire for their fruits have consequences. . . . 2. Moral actions, as actions, have consequences according to the character of the actions performed: right actions have good consequences, wrong actions bad consequences. . . . 3. Some consequences are manifested immediately or in this life, some in the next life, and some remotely. . . . 4. The effects of karmic actions can be accumulated. . . . 5. Human persons are reborn into this world (Reichenbach 1990, 13ff.).

I have an essay if you wanna see it.

EDIT: Smart? No. Right? Not my place to judge. What should you do? Tell the b***h to knock it off. If she doesn't, bind her with all youve got. You warned her.

First fair warning and just to throw this in for precaution's sake have a defense for yourself prepared so she doesn't try to warp your mind. >_>

Then if she doesn't...
a**l Jesus
Beat her with a pan.

I am really the only one who isnt afraid of teaching others or worried about protecting "hidden knowledge" all the time?

Probably, Josh. Once bitten twice shy, you know. Of course, I put it in terms of, "Some people will practically *willfully* misunderstand you, and then swear that you taught them whatever asstastically stupid perversion of your lesson they happen to be using." And then they'll accuse you of being a complete liar and/or contradicting yourself when you try to correct them. It isn't all people, mind. But it's worth a caution.
