I play the french horn in jazz. Have been doing so for the past two years, and I helped the jazz band get golds and silvers from last year and the year before from different performances and stuff.
But this year I have to transpose the music myself from the trombone music. Yes, I play the trombone music -- there's only one other trombone in jazz band, and then there's four trumpets, two alto saxes, and three tenor saxes (I can't keep track of who's in the percussion section).
I fear doing jazz solos. ;_;

-waves hand- I was a member of jazz band...for one song in our Christmas concert, but a member...kinda sorta none the less. I'm a flutist, so I have a right to be excited cause there aren't many jazz band songs for flute out there, except there is a smaller school that I used to go to, and saw people at when I went to area all-state that it turns out there is a permanent flute player in the jazz band there. Ugh. Hopefully next year I can come back to this thread and say that I'm an official member, possibly as a saxophonist -crosses fingers-

(the other best song ever) and "In the Mood"
