Ok I've noticed that alot of you on here are tag makers. And I think those are really cool. But what are they used for? And also, what are some tips that you could give a beginning tag maker *cough*me*cough* on how to make one?

take a look at the "text effect" categories on tutorial sites for example.

i am not a tag-maker but i think they are mostly used for signatures and sometimes for main-shop/quest-banners.

Ha. Yeah. Well a tag is a signature like these:
Some good advice is go to Deviantart and download brushes. As much as I hate that site they do have REALLY good brushes. I would suggest a good set of grunge brushes, I usually use motion and rust grunge.
Look up tutorials and do them to get good with making them, dont just do the tutorials, play around with it and find your own effects.
Thakns for the renders site, I definitely need renders. I have about 435897057 grunge brushes though heh. I've even made my own brushes. Not grunge but still.. =P
