All right ladies and gents! Thanks to Jp and his so far fantastic responses in his "writing challenges" thread, I am going to take it one step further and hold a weekly, that's write! WEEKLY CHALLENGE!
It will be held in the Writer's Forum because that's where writing is supposed to go. I will begin a new thread every Sunday, hopefully before noon, I do like my weekend sleep! The challenge will be valid until Saturday night and will expire at 11PM.
Winners will be announced no later than Wednesday, and to that winner goes a small sum of gold or prizes! they won't be spectacular and probably not much more than 200g a challenge, but it's a start!
I will be posting the first WC today write after this post and it will go on until Saterday till 11PM.

On a side note, I was thinking of setting up an entry fee to help support the WC, if anyone cares for the idea, let me know here and everyone decide what would be a fair amount to set up as an entry fee. The first week will be free, but I'm just curious, it will mean higher rewards. If the idea does go through, everyone will simply need to send me the gold and I will set it aside and mark down how much has been traded and who has entered.
To do so, just send me a PM with the header "This Week's Entry Fee (insert date of challenge here)" as well as send me the trade request.
I was thinking, since we have about 5 or 6 people, 100g each sounds decent. I would also leave it up to the individual should they wish to donate more to the WC, any more money I receive will be put into that week's prize. Items too, if anyone wishes to put items up that they don't want, I would limit it to 2 items per person just as a notice.
If anyone else has any ideas for it, post them here! I'm always ready to change it up a bit!

Kiyome the Dragon I think 100g sounds reasonable, since there is not a lot of people active enough in a week. Hopefully this challenge will get some more activity. I've already advertised the guild to some writers in towns, so maybe it will help attract more people. whee I want to know how a winner would be picked? After people entered will there name go on a poll for voting? That's the only way I can think of. sweatdrop I will have lots of weekly ideas to hand you, that you can be sure of. I'm in a writers club at my school and we do weekly challenges as well. I will take the ones I liked best from there and PM them to you. 3nodding I'm excited now. xd I'll be picking the winners, I won't be entering in the challenges though I'll still submit entries and add to the winner's pot. I'll be looking for technical things like grammar and spelling and punctuation and development in the entry. I say I'll be judging them because voting has never worked in my history of doing things like this. This way if someone doesn't get to vote, it won't matter. I'm very objective so don't worry about favouritism, I know good fiction when I read it wink .
