Build: Lanky, worsens if he's sick. His abdominal muscles, shoulder blades, spine, and ribs are painfully visible when he's shirtless. Most of his strength lies in his upper torso/shoulder area. His legs and hips are slim, but due to training, his arms strengthen as he ages. He is surprisingly resilient and healthy despite his looks.
Hair: Black and wiry, usually parted on the left in a vain attempt to hide hid scar. It varies in length, but he crops it himself so it does not pass his ears or inhibit his sight eyes. He is also genetically blessed with minimal facial and body hair.
Eyes: Almond-shaped with long black lashes, notably his best feature. Their color changes with heart rate from violet (sleeping), grey, blue (normal), green, and yellow (extreme activity). His eyebrows, also black, are relatively thin.
Skin: Fair in color and even in tone. Rivek's skin does not blemish or tan, but it scars easily, especially when the wound is large or infected.
Clothing/Weapons: He likes blue, black, and silver - shirts, tunics, long pants, cloaks, boots. However, he will also wear colors like burgundy and hunter green, just nothing too bright. He avoids sleeves that reveal the tattoo on his upper arm. In battle, he prefers light armor, such as leather, light plate, and chain mail, because of his movement-based fighting style. He will never wear anything that will obstruct his eyesight, so no hats. Rivek's ceremonial sash is blue with an embroidered silver phoenix. His pendant, a black iron ring with a four-pointed star in it, is a gift from Willowren, and it represents unity in light and darkness. The glass jewel within it is blue.
He is well-trained with swords, long knives, and bows, and, although naturally left-handed, he is sufficiently ambidextrous. Any weapon is fine as long as it works. Even if it's not really a weapon. He has bonded with a peregrine falcon, Vika. The magic ties Vika�s life and well-being with Rivek. His horse's name is Ravenstride, and she is black with white socks and stripe down her muzzle.
Other Physical Features: Rivek has both angular cheekbones and jaw as well as a long, straight nose - all identifiably Alisian traits. His lips are thin, but not disgustingly so. There is a scar going down across his eye and cheek and another across the mount of his cheekbone. There is a tattoo of coda and some writing (something to the extent of "Holy God, save my soul") on his left arm. He has an iris-shaped birthmark on his left hip. He does not have any piercings. Rivek breaks his bones easily, but heals quickly. His light weight and high metabolism are caused by his magic. Due to a near-death experience at seventeen, his lungs have permanent smoke damage. He cannot hold his breath as long as most people can, and overexertion on his lungs will cause him to cough up blood. Therefore, although he drinks, sometimes heavily, you will never see him smoke.
Personality: Rivek not sad, just calm. He has lived through his emotional periods and come out stronger. He's nice and rather shy because he's used to hiding his secrets. Often, he seems stupid or insincere because, although he acts friendly, he simply doesn't talk about important things with people he isn't close to. Really, he is very logical, a good tactician and even better mathematician. Although his job is to fight - and he enjoys that rush of battle and death -, his nature makes him an excellent negotiator and diplomat. His loyalty is unparalleled, and he will throw his life on the line for those he loves. However, he will be frustrated if you tie him down, no matter how much he loves you. He has reasonable wanderlust, and absolutely hates being in debt. Although most don't see him practice, he is very devoted to Alisian religion and culture and believes wholeheartedly in its principals of balance and moderation. He is slightly afraid of his own dark power, but he grows more comfortable with it as he grows older and can control it better. He knows a dark-mage can live fine without ever harming a soul. Rivek barely ever smiles sincerely, but when he does, his whole heart is with you.

Other: Rivek is genetically a high-level dark mage, meaning his magic (and life) energy comes from other sources. However, he does not have the training to effectively harness his powers. His is a hawk-mage, which blesses his human form with excellent eyesight, health, speed, and reflexes but gives him his light build. It also means he likes eating raw meat, specifically small game and fish, but he wouldn't show you that. First and foremost, he can wordlessly communicate with most avian species. Second, with enough energy, he can to turn into a peregrine falcon at will. His transformation to bird usually takes a few seconds, depending on how much energy he has access to. Transformation back takes up to a minute, even longer if he's worn out, because his body needs to recreate all the mass it lost. This is why he usually needs to nap and eat after transforming back to human but requires no rest after transforming to bird. He can only do a full transformation every few days or so. Also, half-forms require the most energy to maintain, notably the angel-like form where he has to grow another set of wings on top of the arms he already has (naturally, arm turns to wing). In addition, nothing he wears transforms with him, and his wounds carry over from form to form, lessening or worsening, depending. Although bird form uses less energy, human form has a faster recovery time for wounds because it's his natural form. His bird form still has his scar. Due to his lack of control, he sometimes transforms without willing it. If he has too much energy or his emotions run very high, he'll start to transform in order to expend it. It usually starts with a tattoo-like feather pattern on his skin, especially near his eyes, forearms, and shoulder blades.

Appearance: Has a missing left leg (from the knee down). He is generally dressed very simply, just a shirt and trousers, but can be found on dull nights in a pink dress entertaining the crew. He is adverage height but slim, so he often appears taller than he really is. His face is one of beauty and when he is dressed as a woman he generally does look very much like one - hence his popularity as entertainment.

Traits/personality: Tim is usually very cheerful and overly nosey. He likes very much to know what is going on with every aspect of everyone and usually, thanks to his chatty nature, manages to find most of it out. He is a kind man who will see the best in people if not the most tactful. He is easily flustered with more agressive people but at ease with the more gentle and kind. He is not a good liar and caves under pressure or threats.

History: Tim was born and raised in the Caribbean. His Father was a merchant sailor who died soon after Tim's 13th year. With his Mother to take care of Tim reluctantly joined the British Navy and sent his pay to her. There he remained for some years, and became close to a young midshipman named Andrew until he was killed in an accident with a faulty canon. Tim mourned for a time but the regular activities aboard ship kept him busy; he overcame his loss and let his life continue. As the years rolled by and life became complacent Tim was introduced to a new life as the ship he was a part of was commandeered by pirates. He agreed to join their crew in order to save his life and the extra freedom he gained surprised him, and so he has never gone back to the navy but mearly changed from one pirate crew to another until he came to be on The Beacon. He spent many voyages with them until he lost his leg in battle one day - The captain - who was familiar with the situation with his mother - gave him the option to become the ship's cook. He transfered to the Twilight Dancer along with the rest of the crew at that time and is still there to this day.
