1) Halloween 2006 Event Report

This year’s Halloween event brought Gaian into the 21st century with the appearance of the Zurgian aliens. Starting on the much anticipated October 19th, UFOs began scanning people in towns and the Mothership scanned Gaians with inverted colors, driving them into frenzy. Posts in the forums by UFO 07 confused Gaians and generally created chaos.

In response to the mystery of the Zurgs’ intent, the Gaians in Black (G.I.B.) was formed on October 19th by Agent Tim who foresaw the need to organize willing Gaians into a defensive and research force intended to be prepared for anything that might happen when Halloween was finally upon us. Shortly after the guild was donated by Agent B.O.D., 07 quietly became our alien ambassador.

The Zurg aliens continued to be unclear as to their intent, dividing the already confused Gaian population into a variety of camps, and spawned numerous groups that were for, against, and neutral/curious about the alien visitors. Notable events between the 19th and Halloween include the relationship between 09 and Yuzi_K and the subsequent disappearance of 09, threats from 06 and 11, and the eventual kidnapping of many of Gaia’s admins. Throughout the event the GIB agents worked over time to collect and analyze information to try and determine the intent of the alien force.

Halloween Event Begins
On October 30th, we learned that the aliens had come to sell their DNA-changing energy drink “Zurg” that changed Gaians into Zurg-ian aliens. Fortunately, Gambino recently began selling his own DNA-changing drink, Red Bino, that transforms alien-ized Gaians back to humans. The effect on zombies remains unclear. Threads throughout Area 91 were simultaneously flooded with alien invaders intent on probing Gaians and cows alike.




The GIB responded decisively to this threat, risking their own genetic code to zap aliens and protectively tip cows in the name of defending Gaia. Sadly, many agents fell to the alien energy drink and were transformed and temporarily brainwashed into probing humans and cows with the invaders. The GIB is proud to say that it has been able to return the majority of its members to their correct genetic code or, at least, broke the mind control.



When the smoke and cows settled, it became clear that the GIB and Gaia could declare victory for our home world. Successful zapping and tipping resulted in new tools (a tinfoil hat & cow bell) to battle against potential attacks in the future, while those agents who became Zurgian aliens were able to obtain the alien probing and 4D goggle technology. R&D will continue work on understanding and improving upon these new technologies.

Gaia and the GIB will have to wait to learn the full effect of this event and the new business relationship between Mother and Gambino. The original 12 alien UFOs are still lurking around Gaia and we can probably expect to hear from them again. As some of the original UFOs have been friendly with Gaians, the invaders may represent an independent force. Hopefully the truth will be discovered soon, and it is likely that the GIB will be at the forefront of that discovery.

On a personal note, I would like to extend my congratulations to all GIB agents for a job well done. A special thanks also goes out to the admins and moderators who made this event possible and included the GIB in this event.

2) Recent Events Update

As you know, the Zurg-ian UFOs landed on the Great Wall of Gambino on the World Map. Each UFO and the Mothership have their own forums accessible by clicking on the UFO. The G.I.B has a field office set up in the Mothership and in our ambassador 07’s ship. Below are a quick run down of the posts created by some of the UFOs when they set up their forums. All Agents are encouraged to engage in field research. It appears that we have plenty of time as the UFOs are in a “Xmas” folder on Gaia’s server.

- Mothership: Mother has not posted as of the writing of this piece.
- UFO 01: Appears not to have posted. Small civilian presence in the ship.
- UFO 02: Says “hello” and related a story about getting lost on the moon while searching for 09.
- UFO 03: Appears not to have posted, but his thread appears to have a CIA presence.
- UFO 04: Appears not to have posted. Small civilian presence in the ship.
- UFO 05: Has posted some rather stomach-turning “recipes” on how to cook Admins (with a side of mods).
- UFO 06: Appears not to have posted. Small civilian presence in the ship.
- UFO 07: 07 also has not posted in his ship as of the writing of this piece.
- UFO 08: Appears not to have posted. Moderate civilian presence in the ship, dominated by a handful of posters.
- UFO 09: 09’s ship has not landed and he is presumed to be still missing.
- UFO 10: Does not appear to have posted. Small civilian presence in the ship.
- UFO 11: Has begun the “Zurg Nation”. He has been vocal that the G.I.B. and Believers are not welcome.
- UFO 12: Has shyly welcomed people to his home.
