Hm.. Not sure what to say... sweatdrop I do mostly basic avatar edits and stuff, starting back in June or July of 2003 I think. x_x Barely knew crap about Adobe Photoshop so I was pretty much lost with this whole thing, but I liked doing it. Good thing I kept with it cause my CGing skills got so much better! I use to do that whole dodge and burn and ditched the habit of doing that except for metals and such. Behold the difference!
The left was done in '03 and the right was done in '04. Not really just from ditching dodge and burn, but also from a year's experience!
And yeah! That's pretty much it. x_X Been doing it ever since, although I did get tired of it and quit for a few months, then started up, then quit again for a month or so.. >_> Yeah.. Now that's pretty much it!
This place is pretty much a storage thing to show off my old and new edits and maybe a place to give commentary on how I do each avatar if anyone is interested.

December 4th, 2004; "December added"; The december section of my edits are added, growing each time I finish one. I also spiffed up the place a bit.. <_< crying I'm so bad at layouts.

Wow, very nice. You don't use Burn and Dodge tools anymore? What made you stop?

Lucca Ashtear: Yeah, Avyrex was a fan of the Star Ocean and wanted the entire collection. ^^; They started to look crappier as they went on, but that might have been because I was losing interest in doing it. sweatdrop
Demee: I quit using the Burn and Dodge because it doesn't quite give as good results color wise. If you darken a blue with burn (set to I believe highlights) and then you dodge (set on shadows) then the results gives you a greyish color, taking away from the blue. It also gives you more control when you just select the color and use the paint brush since using dodge and tool won't stop until it's either pure white or black.
Although I still use dodge and burn sometimes to get the effect of shinyness for a metal or a type of clothing.
