Okay, in plain English, here come da rules.
This forum will be strictly OOC. Meaning, you come in here, you're not a member of a secret organization, you're a person who pretends to be one on the internet.
You're all familiar with the concept of a
General Discussion forum, yes?
As they say in GD, the key points are:
1. GENERAL: Meaning, not plot related, not RP, and in general things that don't really have to do with our organization and don't belong in one of our other forums.
2. DISCUSSION: Meaning, this ain't the chatterbox. Make sure that you have a topic that we can talk actually TALK about. It can be light, enjoyable conversation, or an intelligent debate about the meaning of life. Just make sure it's discussable.
Clear enough?
However, since this IS a professional organization, STAY CLEAN.
WHICH MEANS:
1. NO SEX. Seriously, we DON'T want to hear about what you did with your significant other, or what you'd LIKE to do if you HAD a significant other, or what you do when you THINK about your significant other.
2. NO MILD PROFANITY. Okay, I can tolerate the occasional friendly expletive. Hell, I use them all the time. But do it in moderation, alright? Don't stick it in the thread title, don't be vulgar just because you can, don't be inflammitory, etc. All in all, just try to make the experience pleasant for everyone.
3. KEEP IT PG-13 But wait, isn't the whole site PG-13?
Hah hah hah!
Funny. Take one look in the chatterbox and GD and then tell me that. In this case, the rule will actually be enforced. If you're an adult, you should be able to act with maturity. If you're not an adult, just don't say things you wouldn't want your mommy overhearing. XD
And it should go without saying that the Gaia TOS will be enforced.
Aside from that, just relax, and enjoy a break from the bizzare happenings of the world of GAIA.
