Quezacotl glided around the body of water, his wings flapping ever so light as sparks of lightning trickled over his gradient primary feathers. It had been awhile since he last explored and now he had found a friend, Leviathan.
With a giggle he folded his wings downwards, so that he swooped over the land and landed with a small ruffle of the grass beneath his fur coated feet. The day was great, sunny yet many clouds streamed across the sky and what was better, he could sense a storm approaching, like all animals he could sense a storm before it hit, but thanks to his unique ability of being able to create lightning storms he was born with, he could sense them sooner then others.
"I can't wait for it to rain!"
He said to his friend who floated in the water.
Leviathan nodded vigorously, of course he couldn't wait for rain fall, he was only an aquatic kitsu after all, and he loved to watch the drops of rain hop along the surface of the water as he swam below it. It was quite a shame that Quezacotl was afraid of water; the world under water was far more fabulous than the world upon land, by his standards, probably because he was slow upon land.
"I hope it's a big one, maybe the wind will cause large waves in the water."
He said gleefully before hoping onto the land and pulling his body across it with his fore legs, so that he sat next to his feathered friend.

Shiva made her way through the brush, her trio of tails swaying silently behind her, while the metal rings in her hair chimed in the steady winds. Today was one of those days when she was in a good mood and she felt nothing could spoil it.
Continuing at a steady pace she advanced through another clump of thick brush, only to come into an open field almost completely surrounded by a body of water. Two, there was two others near by, one, and angelic, the other, an aquatic kitsu. An odd pair, seeing as one was made for the skies and the other, the sea.
With a slight shrug she trotted forward, her 'skirt' moving with her hind legs in an elegant manor, before she came to greet the two.
"Good day to you two."
She said, before seating herself down, hoping the two wouldn't think she was intruding on their conversation.

Ifrit plodded along afoot below the path Valefor flew overhead. He couldn't help but cast a few discontented glances up her way. She was as close as one could get to having him acknowledge them as an equal, but it still rankled when she chose to fly rather than do him the courtesy of walking when he had no choice but to remain grounded. And he was not above telling her so, especially when he was as sick of it as he was this particular moment. "So tell me, oh winged wonder, why it is that your feet are too sacred to be placed upon the ground?" Valefor clicked her tongue in exasperation. "I have told you before, I am more familiar with other places. I had hoped to find the water by now, but it is farther than I thought. Would you rather I flew or that we became inextricably lost?" Regardless, she did land. They were nearly there, she simply didn't want to give her prideful friend the information that they were close upon it nor that she had seen yet another of their old acquaintances. It was good to let him stumble over himself once in a while, however brief the moment would be. Ifrit was not often surprised enough to disgrace himself with a bad performance. Ifrit merely smirked and held his head a bit higher at her supposed acqueissance to his wish. He realized what she'd done a moment later when they entered the open near the water and he saw Shiva, of all beings. He very nearly tripped over his own paws, seeing as she was the last person he'd thought to encounter. He recovered himself quickly... and refrained from being any too familiar with her. He knew that others that had been in a "before" like he and Valefor had no memory, and didn't want to risk seeming foolish if she did not remember. He wasn't sure which scenario he prefered at the moment... both were intruiging. He bowed to Valefor and murmured, "Ladies first...," deciding to let her make the first introductory stumbles. It was useful to remember one's manners from time to time. Valefor knew what Ifrit was up to, but graciously accepted his deference none the less. She wanted to converse with Shiva in any case; the others as well, for she sensed a kinship with them even if there was no actual recognition. "Fair greetings to you all. I do hope we've not interrupted?" She sat down some few paces from them, enjoying the brief flash of frustration on Ifrit's face when he realized she wasn't going any closer and knowing he wouldn't dare proceed further than she for the sake of propriety until he knew it was safe to do so. "I am Valefor, and this is Ifrit."

Quezacotl clicked his teeth together in a grin; his wings folded about him, while golden darted to the three new kitsusagi before them.
Well this was an odd surprise; they now had visitors, and odd looking ones at that! Chocking down some laughter at Ifrit's reaction, Quezacotl greeted the three new visitors with a nod of his head and grinned briefly at them.
"Hey there! I'm Quezacotl and this is Leviathan."
Why the sudden appearance from all of these 'strange' looking kitsu?
He thought, and what was with Valefor's face, she looked weird and for some reason, he wanted to tug on Ifrit's horns, and he just get over on how they looked so--funny.
Leviathan seeing his friend nearly chocking on laughter that was held back from the mildest bit of manners, decided to cut in.
"As he said." He made a small gesture towards the feathered kitsu. "I'm Leviathan; it's nice to meet you all."
He flipped his tail so that he sat up right and was able to greet them properly, unlike Quezacotl who turned away so that he could at least giggle a little. Leviathan was at least brought up with proper manners, rather than Quezacotl who was quite unbearable at times and he was raised with very, very little manners.
"Are you all here for the upcoming storm? It's supposed to be a good one."
"Hold up!" Quezacotl butted in, cutting Levi off who sent him a cold glare. "What's her name?" He pointed towards the blue female, otherwise known as Shiva.

Shiva backed up a little at the sudden appearance of two more kitsusagi. Blue eyes observed each and every being before her and then they fell upon the fiery beast, known only as Ifrit--whom she did not recall ever meeting. However, the expression on his face said otherwise.
What was with him?
She questioned herself in her mind, before realizing the green and orange feathered kitsu was asking of her name and who she was.
"Ah, forgive me, I'm Shiva. It's a pleasure to meet you all."
She said in the softest voice, but even her softest voice had an icy tone.
"I'm just wandering the land here; I did not know we were expecting a storm."

Ifrit smiled placatingly at Shiva's confused expression. Well... whether she should know them or not, she didn't seem too. "Shiva? Such a lovely name, and for a lovely lady. I do beg pardon if I seem... odd. You look remarkably like someone I once knew. That is neither here nor there..." He smiled his most charming and left Valefor to deal with the other two. It wasn't that he intended to be rude, really, he simply didn't think about it because they weren't the ones that interested him. "We were simply out to have a look around, ourselves. It seemed a good day to do so, though now I hope it continues to be so." Valefor rolled her eyes briefly at Ifrit, knowing full well he had every intention of charming Shiva. Perhaps he'd have more luck this time? Who knew. She nodded an acknowledgement to Shiva and turned to the other two. "I was simply showing my companion some of the more scenic views... though a good storm would be enjoyable. To me, at least, he sometimes has an aversion to getting wet." She ruffled her fur slightly and then let it relax. There was certaintly a charge in the air. "I always enjoy watching a good storm."

Quezacotl snorted at Ifrit, who was obviously drooling over Shiva. Clicking his teeth together in a half grin, he turned to the oddly built kitsu, the one with the mask over her face, if it was.. A mask, the one who called herself Valefor.
"Ah, so he's a bit of a siss--"
Quezacotl was soon cut off by Leviathan placing his webbed paw over his winged friend’s mouth, before he made a regretful mistake in upsetting the fire lord, Ifrit.
"Ignore feather brain; he doesn’t use his brain nearly as much as he uses his mouth."
He said eyeing the irritated angelic, before his paw was pulled from the fur coated maw of the adult and dropped to the ground.
Quezacotl made a mocking gesture towards Leviathan before looking up to the clouds as they drifted silently across the sky. A distant rumble in the clouds now alerted those who could not sense the storm, that there was indeed one approaching.

Shiva nodded with a faint smile, steel blue eyes set upon Ifrit as he talked to her in the most gentle voice that she could imagine for someone so fierce looking. She nodded once more and bowed her head slightly.
"I apologize then, I did not mean to be rude, if that was all it was. This person of the past, were they a close friend?"
Her voice chimed like wind blowing over ice.
She hoped that her question would not make him feel that she was intruding upon his past, but it was more out of curiosity because she resembled the likeness of that someone he once knew. Perhaps she new this person? Then again perhaps not.

Ifrit glanced to the side as Quezacotl stuck in his foot in his mouth, but returned his attention to Shiva. The thunder element angelic might not be bright, but he didn't seem to want a fight. And he didn't really want to fight in front of Shiva so soon after meeting her. Again. That was still odd... but he'd get over it. "Ah... we were close, we'd known eachother for a long time. Whether it could be said we were friends or not..." He shrugged. "Most of the time we were on good terms. I was young and impetuous, often overzealous. I was quite fond of her, but my actions at times led her to be somewhat less fond of me at times." He smiled charmingly at her. "I hope perhaps I have learned enough from my mistakes to be a better friend to you in the future, if a friend you choose to make me, lovely lady." Valefor bit back a chortle. Perhaps if she was on the recieving end of the flirting it wouldn't be so funny, but she just knew him too well to take him seriously. Not that he wasn't serious; Shiva had been one of few in the past that he'd been serious about, but she supposed only time would tell with this one. Then she heard the storm rumble in the distance. "I believe I'd like to try the winds before the storm runs over the top of us." She turned to Quezacotl. "Care to join me?"

Quezacotl simply stared at the sky a moment longer, before realizing he was being talked too. Looking around, trying to figure out who exactly was talking to him, he rolled his eyes back, remembering that there was only one other who had the ability to fly, thanks to their wings, and that was Valefor.
Nodding lightly, he flexed his wing muscles, before hopping upwards and beating his wings ever so strongly that the wind created by his thrust forced the grass to sway off to the side and his primary feathers to ruffle as they collided slightly with the ground.
Once in the air he circled around the group of kitsu's and called down to Valefor.
"Ready when you are."
Leviathan watched his feathered friend take to the air, before he hobbled back to the friendliness of the water. Being unable to fly and not really wanting to interrupt Shiva's and Ifrit's conversation, he figured it was best to take a little swim. Hopefully Quezacotl wouldn't collide with a tree or something, being his idiot self.

Shiva couldn't help but feel that she was being treated like that someone from the past again. Did she truly have a past life? Was there something more between him and herself than there sudden encounter? What kind of twist of fate was this..?
"You needn't worry. From what I see you’re a kind being, and though you have a fierce image, you have a gentle heart."
She said calmly to him, still feeling a bit awkward about this whole meeting. Though, she did want to know more about him, and his 'past life'. So perhaps she would stay and talk?
She did take heed of the rumbling in the skies, however, and began to look about for a spot where they could take shelter, recalling Valefor's words of Ifrit's dislike of getting wet.

Ifrit grinned at Shiva. "Well... I've grown up a bit." When he realized that she was looking around for somewhere to sit out of the rain his eyes softened a bit. "You are too kind, sweet lady." He motioned toward the trees. "The trees might not keep all of the wet off but it is better than being caught in the full brunt of the storm." Valefor laughed softly to herself. Quezacotl was a very interesting and... amuzing character. Not very bright upstairs, but she supposed his pelt made up for that. She took to wing with a strong wind of her own, hovering lazily for a few wingbeats while she looked at the storm. "What do you say, should we fly a bit closer?"

Quezacotl looked to the skies and pondered for a moment, would it be safe to draw so close to the storm? One would easily get struck by lightning.. Though, of course, he didn't have much fear of that for himself, he felt safe with the storm. However, Valefor, she was gifted in the way he was with storms.. But hell, she'd know where to draw the line in dangerous situations, if they came too close; they'd retreat to the ground and take shelter.
Shelter.. Speaking of which.. Wasn't it dangerous for Leviathan to be sitting in water with a storm approaching? Ah whatever, he knew how to take care of himself, he'd probably be fine, heck, fish survive storms all the time.
"Sure! If you don't think it'll be too dangerous."
He said with a wide grin upon his face. The storm felt so close now, he was beginning to get giddy and energetic.

Shiva smiled briefly, before looking to the skies, keeping her ever watchful eye to make sure that if the storm becomes too fierce that they would fall back to the head quarters, where storm rains would not reach them.
She took a seat beneath a large pine tree, which was in company of many oak, and maple trees and many other pine trees. Pulling her three tails about her, she turned to look at Ifrit once again, so that they may continue their conversation.
"Perhaps she thought as you as a friend, but couldn't really show these feelings of friendship to you?"
She said, hopping to be of some assistance to the fire beast. Though, she had to admit to herself, there was something about this being that made her feel warm inside.
