Ever since we were mentioned in the announcements, there has been a rash of imposter GIB agents, guilds, and even topic areas in town. Some of them just thougth we were a part of the plot, some want to cash in on our notoriety, and some are actively trying to make our reputation even worse. Please report all imposters to me immediately, and take whatever action you think neccesary to dissuade them from any further GIB related activities! A prime example is this user: Nileregwen DoUrdenWho refuses to remove her ID card  Despite having never been affiliated with us, and having been asked politely. If you see her, deal with her however you see fit. *edit* Apparently, she got bored of playing make-believe and took it down. (I should have added this a long time ago, but the G.I.B. Paranormal Investigators Department Durem Branch are not imposters, but our allies.)

How to tell if someone is a "false" agent:
1) Are they claiming to be GiB or strongly implying that they are?
2) If so, check the list of agents at the beginning of the main thread or on the guild member list. Both should be up-to-date. (Use edit/find for the main thread)
3) If they are not there, than the person is not a GiB agent. I recommend trying to be as civil as possible... Remember to report imposers to Agent Tim.

I don't think that is possible. confused What would stop someone from just buying an outfit like ours?

The problem with having secret codes/items is that this is a private guild, not a hidden one, so anyone can browse our forums. Now, I'm in support of remaining private, but it does prevent some things.

ok i got an idea
a code
the person who is a real GIB agent will tell this code to the person who is real or not real and if he says it wrong or no answer he is fake and if correct he is a real agent
here it is
question=who is TIM?
answer=GIB leader
case sensitive
and if u dont like it let agent TIM decide for the code

Private=Only Postable in by Members/Readable by anyone. That's why the announcement thread is located here.
