(Couldn't think of the right word) But, you know, like 3A, 5A, 2A, etc.
Our school's a 3A school, but the band's really small. About 50ish members. And we compete against some 3A bands that have about 80-90 people.
I find it annoying how they seperate by school size and not band size. (Some 1A bands have about as many people as we do)
When we're with our school size, we do alright. Our score is pretty much right in the middle of the other's. By band size, we compare really well. We had a competition a few weeks okay, done by band instead of school size. Our school won 1st overall, and we got best marching, best music, and best overall effect (I think...).
So, what size is your school and how many members do you have?

wow, we're a 3A or whatever is the biggest. we have 105 people total including colorguard, pit, hornline, and battery. it's actually kinda small compared to most other bands in our division. most have about 150, some have as many as 200.

We're are in 3A too.
My band director told us that the 3A's and stuff isn't only on the size,
Its also on how well the band plays.
So you have only like 50 members and are in 3A, you're probab;y really good xD

This is first year in decades my school's made it into the finals at state. -.-;

In the 3A, the top 10 bands went to state. There's several competitions, and all the bands in the class do. Then the top 10 out of them all go to state. Then, there's the semi-finals, and the top 5 bands from that go to finals at state that night.
We got fifth out five bands. >_>;

We're 5A.. meaning we have to compete against THE best schools in our area and never get Sweepstakes. Oh well xD As long as we have fun!

We are 2A, we went to state marching finals last year.
We have around 100 ppl
and Texas bands rock!

our school doesn't compete sweatdrop
we just show up the competing bands at the one festival we do (HELL YEA)

My band is AAA. It goes by band size where I live; we have 81 people in our band.

We are a 6a band. w00t. Over a hundred and eighty people. It didn't feel like that many people until I watched a tape of our show and I was like "Holy fudge, these forms are HUGE!" eek
|
