This is a list of known sites that post pro-life propaganda. If these are used as a source, they are invalid.

abortionfacts.com

prochoice.com - Don't be deceived by the name!

nrlc.org - Someone recently used this against me. A quick check of the home page revealed "Diagram of a partial birth abortion," which is all I needed.

More to be added later.

How to find out if a source is biased:

1. Check the page. If there's support from Christian groups, this is reasonable doubt. If there's support from pro-life groups, that's making it obvious.

2. Check for Appeal to Pity language - calling the fetus a baby or a child is a big hint.

3. Check for a page on abortion methods. If the site lists saline and/or "partial birth," this is a huge sign of bias.

4. Check for abortion resources. If the site lists "crisis pregnancy centers" as good places to go to, dismiss the source.

5. If there's a merchandise page, check it. If all the stuff is about "choose life" and such, dismiss the source.

abort73.com (It reeks of bias)

morningafterpill.org <-- I've used this website in the past for information on the pill and found the bias.
Quote:
In other words, if the third action occurs, her body rejects the living human embryo, and the child will die. This result is a chemical abortion. (Abortion is an act of direct killing that takes the life of a living preborn human being—a life that begins at fertilization.)

It lists a source named "Infant homicides through contraceptives." Hmm. rolleyes

Also, there is a prochoice.org, which is the website for NAF(National Abortion Federation). My guess is that prochoice.com was meant to have people confuse the two, considering the .com one seems fairly new compared to the .org.

I found it looking up some abortion statistics...it seemed all fine and dandy at first...till I started reading about abortions.

They're more subtle than other sites, but the pro-life bias is clearly there. That became even more clear when they linked to:

This is a Minnesotan site. These jerks were sending me "voter's guides" and calling my house around election time. I got really pissed and sent them an angry e-mail, telling them to leave me the hell alone because we're a pro-choice household, goddammit.

http://www.mccl.org/ Stands for "Minnesotan Citizens Concerned for Life". They call themselves an "Abortion news and information site". More like MISinformation.

*vomits at abortionno.com* Why do the pro-life take so much delight in videos of abortions and pictures of "aborted babies"? They're the sickos, if you ask me.

That's why I hate PETA. People should become vegetarian because it was their own educated decision to do so, not because they were guilted into it. Gory pictures are what people use when they don't have logic or reason on their side.

Parental Consent Laws:

Actual card I received in the mail around the time of Prop73.

(Images will probably take forever because in order to be legible, they had to be huge.)

Exactly. It's always been my personal policy not trust anything that needs shock pics/videos to guilt people into siding with them. If you can't make a convincing argument with words, then maybe you need to rethink what you believe. D:

I think those pictures are gross, but they didn't bother me personally. I mean, I kept on eating my cheerios.

But I don't know why images like that need to be spread around. It's like that one site (forgot which) that got into some trouble for hosting a video of someone killing themselves.

But I don't know if that was over content or property issues.

While searching for information about a certain propoganda movie (Pro-choice 1990: Skeletons in the Closet), I stumbled across these sites -- all of them are pro-life (some of them are fairly major sites).

The thing I hate about the pictures pro-life sites have is that they say they respect the fetus... Yet showing pictures of them somehow justifies as respect.

I was browsing some of those, and in abortiontv.com, I found this letter from a woman who had an abortion:
Lauren
Hi, my name is Lauren and I live in Missouri. I am 17 years old and had an abortion on the 15th of December, 2004. I found out on the 19th of November that I was pregnant. I told the father, which is my boyfriend, that I was pregnant and he was yes of course very mad at first. After we got in person and talked it out for many hours we decided that it was our decision to be adult enough to sleep with each other, so we would be adult enough to take care of our biggest responsibility.........Our Baby! My mom and dad hated him and hated the fact that I was going to have a baby. I left my house and went and lived with my boyfriend at his dad's house. It made me feel so much better because they were so excited about the baby and said it would get us away from all the partying and help us grow up to be true adults. I accepted that. We would lay in bed every night and I would fall asleep next to the man I loved so much while he rubbed my tummy and said how excited he was. We were both very happy. About a week later, well I guess went by and all things changed. My boyfriend called my mom to talk to her which I knew wasn't a good idea because she wanted us to get rid of the baby and well she got what she wanted. He got off the phone and she had put so many things into his head that the first thing he said to me was your getting an abortion. I started to cry, but knew since I didn't have him I had no one. A couple days later he took me home and told me that he didn't want anything to do with me. My mom then signed me up and took me in to get the abortion. I followed through with it. Even though it took them under five minutes to complete the procedure, I don't think that I have ever felt so bad for myself like I am now. I regret every bit of it. Even though I am no one to tell you what to do. I am just saying that it won't only hurt you, but the one that you don't have anymore. I could have loved my baby so much and if there was any way that I could go back in time..... I definitely would. I miss my baby and so will you!

Lauren

Well, you're a t**t, miss Lauren. You should have had the balls to tell your boyfriend and your mother off if you wanted the child.

Poor you.

Seriously, my sister DID throw up. Didn't gross me out, though.
