 We need to get this game back on track, so I was thinking about what we could do with the mod/GM issues we've been having.
GM- Host Auditions OR
Get multiple people and keep up with the plot, each person writes the little part of the story and one person will keep track of CK etc. kills and saves and such. That way people writing the story can continue to play the game.
Mod- GM of course, and if going with option 2 above, all people who have a part in the story writing so they can help out. OR
People who have been playing this game for awhile and know the rules well.
I was thinking we should make a deadline, and October 31st just seems perfect. An extra gory and spooky renewal of the game.
I just want to get this out there. If we keep doing what we're doing, the SG might just be dead forever.
Give thoughts/opinions etc. <3

It's a really good plan, but personally, I think we need to get a handful of Temp. Mods real fast. Then they can edit away all the stuffz and do Moddish things and we can continue this game as usual. Or, hey, why not just put this game on pause until Zae can finish it? She may still want to write it, ya know. It'd be kinda weird, buty it's just a thought. THOSE ARE MAGGOTS YOU'RE EATING!

Ironicaly the other day I was all "Gah, I want to write up an update just so this game will restart" I was also procrastinating and bored when I thought that but you get the point.
So much conflict, part wants to get the game restarted and part wants to wait for when things are easier for Zae and IHD. ><

Dat's a good idea. I was tinking a few days ago we should just post another update and go on with it. Zae wouldn't want the game to die.

I think we should get on with it... the longer it takes to get started back up, the fewer people are going to be around. I don't think that Zae would want that.

yeah, I think we need to get a new GM and mods and let the current game continue.
However, I think that in the future when we vote for GM, the person who comes in second should also be made a mod and be a backup GM, just in case.
...I think the second idea soulds a little bit...hard? I mean, if we have 3 or 4 people writing the story, it could be a little bit..incoherant? Plus, if one person can't make it on for whatever reason, then what? If they weren't keeping track of kills/saves/etc, then would the person who was just go ahead and post the plot without the other(s)? And if it was the person who was keeping track, then we'd just be back at square one. It just seems like that could get a little bit complicated.
I don't mind the idea of having a GM and a back-up GM. Especially if the Sniper/CK/G-team PM both GMs, and if the main GM couldn't get on then the backup GM could go ahead and post?
Those are my thoughts on the subject. October 31st sounds like a good goal. biggrin

I agree with Lingui about the 2nd idea being confusing. And I agree with you on everything else.
The only problem with making mods is Zae needs to be here to make them. We cant do that. And I dont think IHD can do it, although im not sure. I do think we should carry on without Zae. She already said she cant do it. Why do we have to wait for her to start up again? We've waited far too long.

If Zae is the only one able to make mods then shouldn't we have this all planned out so next time when she comes to update us all as to her well being she'll just have to point and click to finish it?

I know that second idea is confusing. Just thought I should said it anyway.
I definately think we need to get started soon, getting GMs, just electing them, and some mods to help out. Phoe and Hirun sound good. ^_^

"Just do it" sounds good! Although, perhaps since this is the Sniper Game, it should be changed to "Just shoot it"? XD
But are we going to hold GM tryouts again or just go with Hirun and Phoe? Hirun and Phoe are fine with me...but as a guild we need to decide if we want to revote or retryout or go with those to or what. Anybody thinking we need a poll here, or is that just me?
That way we could tell Zae for certain, and next time she's on all she would have to do would be approve our choices? And then from there we could figure out before the next game (if Zae wasn't back yet) if we were going to have a backup GM or what.

I think the idea of splitting jobs is relaly good. that or hosting auditions because i think there are other really good writers that should be seen and not just phoe or hirun.

I say we go with Hirun or Phoe if they're willing. Just because its the middle of the game and holding tryouts will just make it take longer. I think we need to get on the move asap, and finish off this game. Then we can do tryouts for the next one.
