Most of the bands I know have majorly dramatic color guards, mine including, and I'm in the guard! XD
The flags, IE, those not on rifle, are full of attitudes, and don't even listen to their guard captain/ section leader, my sis, Bunneh, nor do they listen to the DM or Assistant DM. They hate anyone in power, apparently. And they cry alot. We have a huge crybaby guard. They cried when they found out I couldn't march fort hree weeks.
It seems like the only ones who wnat to be there for guard are me, and my rifle girls, JC, and Bunneh (yea, older sis....XD). The other ones are just....AARRGGH!
And I'm the youngest/newest member saying this! (Although last year's winterguard was my first....XD)
Do all marching bands have dramatic guards?

Our guard's drama isn't as bad as it's been previously. We have some dramatic days, but overall this season's been pretty mellow. ^.^

We had drama the two years I was the team. The first year one of the captains was so favored that she didn't have to show to practice. It was like she was the new god or something. And the last year there was alot of wanna be drama. Example: "You can't like that drummer, cuz I like that drummer!!" now I can deal with haveing real drama but when it comes to s**t like that? Come on! Also people would go "******** this" and sit on the field and refuse to practice because "They weren't having a good day" or they didn't like what the coach or someone else said.

ya, i think that drama and color guard go hand in hand too. all 5 years i've been on a guard now, there has been drama. i think college is worse now thugh, for some reason. i think it's because of a certian couple of girls on my guard that can't seem to stop themselves from doing stupid s**t. it's bad. that and those girls don't get along with everyone either and are always talking about SOMEONE else behind their backs. i don't know. it drives me up the wall!! HS was ok... there were the fights and attitudes and annoyances... but i dunno... DRAMADRAMADRAMA!!! dramallama dramallama dramallama

Dude ok lets tal about guard Drama. Ok its like my 7th grade guard would cry after every comp. Like one person would get an asma atack and got all the attention then a girl would cry and she get the attention also it was just a big old chain reaction every winter guard contest. 9th grade guard was worse instead of crying you got bitches yelling in your face 24/7 when you did absolutly nothing to make them mad. 10th guard oh my goodness you never know when there going to snap at you. Its like this is my frist year with this new guard cuz i moved and its like they treat me like i know nothing!!! and its like if one of the freshman dose something wrong the luttents will turn around and b***h at like everyone around her. its full of crzy sico bitches i swear cuz one min theyll be fine then the next theyll snap. Its crazy thats my guard drama for ya

i think its pretty much mandatory for guards to have some drama. there were 6 guard members on our team this year and we STILL had a lot of drama.

I graduated so I'm not on the team this year. But I still hear things. And my friends are still there. At the LAST competition for field show 3 guard members were on the field. Why? Because a few weren't allowed to compete. WHy? One got in trouble for constantly being on the phone. And one had a rumor going around that she gave head to someone in the stands at a football game. Lame drama.

You can't have an extraordinary guard without attitude.
My guard is somewhat quiet about their attitude, but it comes out of the wood work occasionally.
It's just something you have to live with when everyone thinks they have the answer and your director is walking away wondering why in the world she picked the lovely bunch in the first place!
