My personal experiment concerning the fluctuating letter prices. Starting with January of 2004.
Feel free to start a thread about the other letters before January too.
General note: The donation items in each letter can be valued at about 10-12% less than the letter itself. Subject to change. So are my panties. blaugh
11/4/04
January: 28k. I'm going home! gonk
February: Still 8-8.5k. Want mine? biggrin
March: eek 23k. AVERAGE. crying
April: 5.3k. WHY?! Who decided that the hats were all the rage all of a sudden?!
May: You're kidding, right? 3k, at the MOST.
June: 13k. Items are still selling hot.
July: Finally climbed to about 4.5k. *throws a party* xd
August: Almost 5k. Items slowly losing poularity as more people acquire them.
September: Over 4.5k. Everyone wants clips, the NEW minis! rolleyes
October: 6k. AVERAGE. I'm going to go sit in my little pouty corner and cry now. *does so* crying
Sealed (November): Anywhere from 4k to 8k, because of thepoularity of last month's items. Bet you $20 it's crappy. mrgreen

I dunno if you're still reserving posts or whatnot, but I suppose you could always delete this if you are. ^^; Anywho, I've seen people ask for 20k for a March letter. It's crazy. >____o

It's so weird that before March of this year, letters one month older than another were worth more. But now look at the Febs and Marches...

Yeah, the older items were cooler.
I was so disappointed with the clips! I was hoping for something at least as good as August... But they kind of look like mini's knock-offs to me. But hey, I've got enough fashion sense to almost fill the head of a pin, so take that comment with a healthy dose of "Hmmm..."

I've seen more people wanting the goti clips than the bani clips, though. But I guess it's just as well because I've seen more goti clips for sale than bani clips. I do find it funny that people are selling the clips for between 4-5k, and the letters are going, on average it seems, at 4.6k. Why are the clips going for more, pray tell?

Because the nutjobs selling them realize that the people, in their scramble to snag a pair of clips before the price surges, will pay that much without even trying to shop around.
