how many of you guys believe that animals are just like us, only without the sin? i believe that they are just like us, because we are animals too. it's just that they are sinless, because the first giraffe didn't reach his great big neck up there to that tree for a bite of the apple. or the first fruit bat. but you get the idea.
and pray for my aching head please!

To be honest, I really don't know. All I know is that God created us in His likeness, and that we had dominon over the animals. This leads me to doubt that animals have souls like we do, but I have noticed that they each their own destinct personalities and behaviors which leads me to wonder if they just might. Its something to ask God when we see Him.

I actually do not think animals have souls... but I do believe God has blessed some with personalities so they would make great companions for us humans

i thought about it more...adn how can an animal be so loving and affectionate if they don't have souls? how come my cat always calms down when i pray? seriously, she'll be all hyper and cute, and i'll start to pray adn she'll lay down and be quiet. once i'm done, she'll be normal again.

Some can contest that those are normal behaviors of any animals, the only thing that sets us apart from them is that we have a higher level of thinking and acting. Also, the animals on this Earth were made for our companionship and so were created to act as such. But honestly only God knows and the animals we can't communicate with.

i've communicated with my cat. telepathically. one time, i was petting her and i asked her if she wanted me to stop. in my head i heard a vivid "no!". just me? i don't think so. it was too vivid to just have been me. and when i asked her if she wanted me to keep petting her, i heard a faint "yes!". and i have this book called "is your pet psychic?" by Richard Webster that has a whole bunch of other intriguing (SP?) animal info.

Well, if it happens anymore you might be right, otherwise you need to keep in mind that demons can also communicate on that level, and one of them could have been confusing you. Not to mentiong the fact that you can also convince yourself of something that doen't exist. Thats just something you'll have to pray to God about.

define "just like us". sentient? no. holders of eternal souls? probably not. as much as I love animals, they're not just like us, or God wouldn't have given us all authority over them.

Thats just something you'll have to pray to God about. i know you can't get into my heart, but you have to understand that i know for a fact that it was her. and here's an interesting story: once, there was a horse that was very good at predicting things. like before the election between roosevelt and whoever else it was, the owner asked the horse who the winner would be. the horse started speeling "roos" with it's hoof on the ground, but then it wrote instead, "i don't know how to spell it." guess who won the election that year?

The bible says that everything that has breath praises him so I believe they are. I also don't believe when ppl say animals can't go to heaven because Isaiah speaks of seeing men on white and black horses, Angels also war on horses..so how can animals not be in heaven? Not only that but God uses animals as vessels too, the donkey, the rooster, etc.
