Anyone planning on getting their hands on a PS3? I really really REALLY want one, especially if they release as many games as they plan on releasing when it comes out.
MGS, Guitar Hero 2, Tekken 6....

and it's backwards compatable too!

I'll prolly end up waiting for it to go down in price to get it though. The bugs should be worked out of it by then too. Getting in RIGHT when it comes out is kind of asking for things to go wrong IMO

I'll definitely be getting one. Oh mannn, I'm excited about it. I'll also be waiting for the price to go down though, it'll be pretty expensive when it first comes out, I can wait a bit.

I hear it at least isn't gonna be as pricey as the Xbox 360 at release (there were Xbox 360 packages that went as high as $1000 on ebay at release)

If Im gonna pay prices like that, I might as well get a bomb gaming pc cuzz thats basically what an X box is, at least with a PC you can upgrade.

The PS has tradtionally been a platform that was more afordable. Lets hope that trend continues!

I will get one. But not until the price goes down. I'll probabl end up doing what I did with the PS2 and buy the games that interested me and have them around so when I finally did get a PS2, I already had what I wanted.

good luck to all who want to get one on release date since a)it's gonna be $600. and
b)there are only gonna be 400 thousand released here in america. meaning that most stores that will carry it will get 3 maybe 4!
i'm sticking with getting with the wii and waiting a while before i get one.

Yeah if anything I am gonna pick up a Wii early on. Playstation three has a ridiculous price tag. While the Wii is gonna be relatively cheap by comparison AND COMES WITH A GAME at it's base price. buying the ps3, forking over 500-600 dollars over, and then having to pay another 60 so I can actually have a game to play on it is....well....it's just wrong.

I'll want a PS3 more once a Final Fantasy game comes out for it. The graphics are indeed drool-worthy, but I don't want to spend £400-ish on a console with no games I'm interested in.

On the other hand, I want a Wii not only for the lower price-tag, but also for Pokemon biggrin I'm so sad lol

I definitely going to wait until the price goes down and might get it when there's some games I'm interested in made for it. Otherwise, my PS2 is my friend.

I don't think I'll ever get a PS3, mainly because of the price tag and because aside from Final Fantasy/Square Enix, Sony doesn't really have custody over any of the third party companies I'm particularly crazy about. If anything, I'm getting a Wii. It's kinda crazy that Nintendo's console costs as much as Sony's handheld does, AND comes with a game. confused

I probably won't own it myself, but my brother will. He seems to be the one partial to collecting all the Playstation systems, I'm the one that gets all the Nintendo ones. wink But living under the same roof, means that unless the system's in use, we'll usually let the other use them 3nodding

I do admire Nintendo for releasing a system that is much more afordable and with a game on top of it all. I know that these sysems are just fancy cased PCs...WHY should they cost more than a PC of equivilant "bulk"?

For $600 I can get a pretty bomb PC, and I think we all know that getting games for the PC isn't all THAT expensive lol.

PS has a lot of games I like...then again the Xbox 360 came out with some good titles too BUT if I'm gonna pay that much for a console it had better be impressive...and the 360 just isn't.

Whats sad is the PS3 will sell out, even at its assinine release price.
