Well, no, not really. I have been drinking alot more water as of late. I take a bottle to school and drink some at dinner. Hell, I'm drinking some now. I guess that's why I've been feeling better. I didn't drink water last year unless I was already at practice, and that didn't help much. It was more of a teaser. Have any of you been eating better or driking more water because of band? Is it required?

And our designer requires us all to have at least a one gallon jug at practice.

Yeah, band does make me drink a lot more. But it seems to make my diet worse. Because I always running around everywhere or to tired to make something that can't be microwaved. Plus, food at football games and competitions = not healthy. Suprisinly, I am losing weight though. XD

Nevira Shadowfire Considering it's October and it's still 90+ degrees outside...yeah, we drink a lot of water. Everyone's lost at least some weight. *nod nod* We now have camel paks issues to us so we drink any time we need b/c we have a few hours of afternoon practice a day. I drink a lot a lot a lot of fluids. A lot. We even have water coolers set up (like 4 of em) so if your thing gets empty you can fill it up. Like I realized just how much I drank on Saturday. Friday we had an away game that I came home from at 1230. Saturday, I woke up at 5, and inspection was a 6 (AM) because we got the first performance slot of the contest. Then we stuck around all day until 6 to see if we made finals. Then we performed in finals round 730... then we stuck around for those results. Anyway, we got back at midnight again. In the course of Saturday, I drank 10 big bottles of poweraide fromn the concessions and like 15 bottles of water.

yeh, waters really important. our practice is basically 2 and 1/2 hours standing in the sun. if you dont drink your water and arent especially used to the sun you will get dizzy and fall out. after practice they always mention diet tips to "think" about over the weekend. though for some reason i get the odd notion that no one is really losing weight. at least i'm not.

I don't know what's up with all you people losing weight; I'm gaining it. However, I do look skinnier. I guess it's just muscle. Anyways, I drink more water, not a lot more, but more. However, I haven't really been eating much. I almost puked at last night's MB practice because my mother forced me to eat and then get right into uniform. Ugh.

I am actually eating more instant foods which contain more fat, and losing weight. I am burning it all off every day.
whoever said band wasn't a sport has never tried it.
