Harry Potter movies are like comic book movies to me...no matter how well they're done, they're never going to match what you see in your head. Tonks is a perfect example of this.

Books over movies, any day of the week. biggrin

Yeah, Sis? No...I just can't agree with you. I have my own opinion that I can't quite find described anywhere else...So I'll let it fly. I love love LOVE LOVE the books, because I first read the first book I was 11 and I remember wanting an acceptance letter to Hogwarts so badly. Then I grew up and appreciated them for the comedy and the unique "flavor" of the literature. The next year, my teacher read book one out loud to us. And I realized the emotional impact the series could have. And by then I had fallen so madly in love with the wonderful world of Harry, I...read them all over and over again. I loved it. I made myself forget what happened at the end of each book as I was reading it (I can do that with every book. It's a gift that has served me kindly when rereading my fav books over and over. ^^ wink just so that I could expirience the book like I had never read it.

And then came the movies. And i loved those as well. And I watched them so much...that Daniel's (rather nice) face became Harry for me. Emma became Herione, Rupert became Ron. And when I read the books all over again, I can picture what happens because I have faces and voices.

So yeah. I love them both, but for an entirely different reason than I know any of my friends to possess. Sorry for taking up so much space... sweatdrop I'll quit blathering now.

Books. I have adored books since I was very small, there will never be any comparison in any series. In this one in particular, the books are magnificent, and the movies... not so much.

Yeah. I'm more of a fan of the books than the movies because when reading the books, I feel as though I know the characters more so than if I watch them on the screen. The books have a unique way of capturing your attention, and they're always there for you to pick up. Also, the books go into a lot more detail and they have a lot more information. It's like the ideas are just placed down in a way so that others can read it. They have a certain appeal and the books tend to have a lot more subitle jokes and stuff. You get to know more about the characters and your imagination to create a picture of the characters. Besides. Peeves is awesome, and he's not in the movies. That makes the books so much better.

The movies are really neat though. It's like the books have finally become something more...Something everyone can watch. They bring the world J. K. Roling created and take it a step farther by adding some things and changing little bits here and there. And seeing the characters grow older in front of you and watching their adventures is interesting. Both are really good works, I just happen to prefer the books to the movies.

There is only so much you can squeeze into a movie, but books can hold every single detail you need to know to get the full effect of the story. When I read the books, I feel like im apart of them. It's weird, but I like it.

The movie's are good though, they just leave out so much information and directors like to change certain things that make us book fanatics angry. ^^

I love the books. Always have, always will (though six kind of started to bug me). As for the movies... I do love them, but I hate teh fact taht they're made from books. Cuz they're missing so much stuff. One of the main reasons my friends and I watch the movies is so we can go through and point out everything that's wrong... hehe... (should have seen us at the tehater for 4. lol. )

The movies are good, but I'm a book fan all the way.
