Along the Thames River in the great isle of Britain, an ancient and glorious city steeped in a bloody and artful history. Massacres and revolutions have started here, and no other city on earth is as ripe with mystery as this, the most haunting place humans could have created.

Here in the shadows of Wakefield Tower the dead are speaking, and Nicolai, in his pallid and pensive reverie, is listening. Amid the choking fog and screaming spirits, this somber home to the atrocities of ancient days has become a sanctuary, for one so ridden with unsettledness that there is no comfort.

A slightly echoing sound as if of one stumbling upon the streets in shoes not meant to be walking slowly neared the location where the phoenix currently stood. A soft bodied young male, in a long white coat and slacks walked down the street. His face was pale and he seemed horribly chilly, clutching his coat tight about him. His eyes were a stormy grey and his hair was so light in its hue of blonde that it almost seemed white or even clear with slight hints of a pale gold. That silk like hair hung to about his calves but all of his features, though rather beautiful seemed strangely dull. Especially his eyes.

His shoes stood out the most though. They were silvery strappy stillettos with a small golden wreath on the front. The ties on his ankle almost seemed like small butterfly wings though. But they didn't seemed very good to walk in. As he neared Nicolai he tripped and fell to his knees, knocking into the dark haired god.

"Whoa-??"

Nicolai had been doing his best not to notice the shiny young man that came his way, but when the two of them collided, it was inevitable that he turn to him and give a surprised sort of noise. He backed off a bit from his place against the ancient stone wall at the base of Wakefield Tower, giving him a lookover that was less discrete than his previous glances had been. Dressed like a glittery snowflake, he thought, taking in his ostentatious appearance.

Nicolai himself was a twig of a young man, and had been easily knocked by this stranger. He was as bony as the undead might be, but still very soft and alive. His pale skin was blushed just a little, darker around his eyes, and contrasted starkly behind his raven black hair that reached barely to his lower shoulderblades. Admittedly, he nearly blended with the dark wall, clad in gray suede and black leather that sheathed him in a shadow of gothic stylism. The black leather formed a stylistic interpretation of the french Justaucorps coat, embellished in flat, modernized designs that served as trim about the borders.

His vibrant cobalt eyes seemed the only color he bore, rimmed in gold and gleaming in the darkness with a subtle sort of inner light. They fell to the man at his feet, struggling to meet his, and he offered a hand to him.

"In a hurry, sir?"

A snowflake was a pretty good decription of this delicate being. As he stood carefully, dusting his knees off he blushed, skin not taking much of a darker hue.
"N-not really, no. I'm just rather lost and these streets are hard to walk on. I'm trying to locate a payphone." he said softly, voice light and feathery but stained with weakness and worry. His cheeks on closer inspection were semi tear streaked but his eyes told the most. They now appeared to have more silver than stormy grey in them and they were highly afraid.

Aww... wow, wonder what happened to him...

Nicolai let a sympathetic "whimper" escape his eyes before taking a smile to them. Admittedly, he was a vision, most definitely the sort he adored looking at. Not bad at all. And the white in him was enchanting as all hell, for sure.

Sort of.... eerily familiar, he wondered, tilting his head.

"I don't think the Tower of London has a payphone outside, I'm afraid, but if you looked for the tourist stand... " He grimaced a bit, remembering the time, and gave a helpless shrug. "I don't think you can get in at this hour legally. You're kinda on the wrong side of town..."

His eyes dropped to the stillettos the man was wearing, forcing an eyebrow upward in wonderment. "Can't imagine cobblestone likes those shoes..."

The young man blushed slightly. "Neither did I. But then again I didn't expect to land here. Which direction might I head to get to the other end of town?" he asked. He was eager to get home, quite eager in fact. He missed his home quite a lot.

With another blush he looked at Nicolai straight in the eye once more. "Oh I'm sorry. My name's Vessie. And you are?" he asked, extending a slightly long nailed hand. His fingernails at least were as shiny as his shoes, with the ends in a pearly coating and the line between them and clear sections in a sparkly silver paint.

Nicolai half wanted to chuckle at him and his manicure job, inwardly thinking the man HAD to be a cabaret dancer or something. Though, no dancer would trip in stillettos, so perhaps maybe just an escapee from a bordello? Burlesque?

A smile found its way to his lips as he found the thought impossible to resist. He extended his own thin hand to take Vessie's, very gently so as not to encroach upon the nails. "I'm known as Nicolai, at least to those who care for names."

Let's be snide, shall we? He was in a strange mood this night, at the least due to the wails of the Tower of London. His mind was fed, and those wails echoed the one in his own inner self, bringing an elated harmony to his thoughts.

Vessie felt a strange need to ask why there seemed to be a noise in the background but that wasn't something he cared to think about. It struck him rather unpleasantly.

"Well I may have to get going in a moment let I become even more lost in the darkness. I'm not good with navigation and I really must call my master for I need him to take me home." he said in that soft voice again. The thought and worry for his master made him wince as it pained him very much. "He probably misses me quite highly." he muttered.

Nicolai smirked a bit more, almost touched with his concern and plight. Shaking his head he offered his hand again, motioning down the street.

"I'm sure you'll get lost in the London fog anyway. I can lead you. I'm pretty well used to the darkness." Gracefully he moved from the wall and to the other side of him, placing himself between Vessie and the darker parts of the street. "If you ... well, belong to someone, I'd hate to let them be agrieved by your getting lost."

Master, eh? Master meant two things- a) slave, and b) student. Which it was could almost be obvious, were it not for the volumes of studies in the many realms. Hell, he could be studying cabaret... which seemed unlikely, but nothing was impossible just yet.

Vessie flushed once more and nodded, taking Nicolai's hand. He had forgotten that using the term master away from home would strike most beings as funny as they did not know of his situation.

Upon finding a phone Vessie was able to call his home at last. With a blush he turned back to Nicolai. "My master shall be arriving here shortly and would prefer it if you stayed as he would like to thank you for keeping helping me." he said with a shy smile.

Nicolai nodded, amazed that the man who'd mentioned a master had actually taken his hand. He was very open, to say the least, and perhaps made himself a bit too vulnerable.

Let's hope no one else got to that passivity before I did...

"I'll stay with you until he gets here, don't worry," he reassured, glancing over his shoulder a bit. "Not that I'd let you stand here alone... not knowing the whispers at the tower. Sort of an unrestful night."

And someone in him knew that very well; had even been rejoicing in it, but he wasn't about to let it harm anyone.

Soft footsteps echoed down the city streets coming towards the two. Boots of a strange fashion. And soon into the fading light of the streetlamp came a tall semi-large chested figure.

His upper body was clothed by a tight red shirt and his hair, of a deep red-brown hung to about his shoulders, with only a few strands making it to his face from its naturally pushed back position. His eyes were smaller and darker than Vessie's but still gentle and pleasant with a deep mischeif about them. He is gold wrists were adorned with dark metal bracelets embelished with rubies. His black leather pants showed his well formed legs off pretty well and his boots showed his fashion sense. Upon seeing the two the man grinned strangely, the shadows casting upon his face in a strange manner.

Vessie, upon seeing this man rushed to him and embraced him. He was a bit shorter than the man, the top of his head barely brushing the man's pecs but he seemed quite happy to see him.

With a smile the man introduced himself, extending a hand towards Nicolai. "I would take it that you're the one who helped Veserion?" he asked in a rich deep voice. Though a sight that would be frigthening to most were he angered Kevashi seemed generally pleasant and quite pleased that someone had returned Vessie to him.

Vessie rushed back over to Nic and smiled broadly. "Yes yes, he was very good to me." he said in a slightly less upset tone than before. He was escstatic to be back with his master and for a usually quiet person it showed even in this small ammount.

Nicolai, not one to show disrespect, gave a courteous bow in the direction of this Master that Veserion had brought forth. Something had infected Nicolai this night, perhaps not a very good thing, but at the least it didn't affect his pleasantries. And by now it was obvious- these men were on his level, and most definitely of high power.

Best keep the angry one down....

"I only did what any morally upright person might," he said humbly. "But I'm glad to have done the two of you service."

Causing Veserion to shake his head with a smile Kevashi grinned at Nic. "You must come to dine with us, as you seem to be out and about with no particular plans to go anywhere." he asked, not meaning to be annoying. In Tison, if you got asked to dinner by the god of War and Lust you said yes no matter what you were doing. But such things were not to be expected in this world. After all he had no reign here, no real power besides his natural ones. It was an offer not a demand at this point in time. The smaller being spoke softly.
"You don't have to come if you don't wish to. Master forgets where he has power and where he does not at times. I apologize if he has offended you." that feathery voice spoke. It would be a treat to see him at a meal, most likely in his fineries.

Nicolai raised a brow at Kevashi's demand, and displayed a smirk at Veserion's apology. These two were interesting at the least, and played with the waking angry one very well. Not that they had upset anything, not at all; but the angry one was aware, and delighted by these twists of events.

"I'd love to oblige you," he agreed, standing full upright. "You're astute in your observation, I've got absolutely nothing to do but listen to spirits all night."

A bit bold of him to admit, but he saw no issue of it with beings that emerged from nowhere to rescue their charges..
