Mordecai was inside his laboratory, making a very intresting experiment. After meeting up with Tari, he decided that he had better try and find other people that may have other information about these falling stars. Recently he had started a report on them, wanting to know what they were and why they existed. The school agreed to funding this experiment, just so long as he shared his final results with them.

Right now, he was mixing a multitude of ingrediants and elemental bursts into an ancient culdron. Even the fire itself had to be burned with the correct sort of flame and wood. The fire was very small though and was only there to allow for better mixing of the ingrediants. The only light right now was that comming from the fire, as it was nightime. When he knew that the time was right, Mordecai got his cane and shot a burst of icey water at both the culdron and douced the flame. The culdron hissed and squeaked loudly as it contracted upon itself. Had it not been made to withstand this sort of ritual, the culdron would have exploded. Instead, it remained solid, and the liquid it contained was glowing icey blue, like glacial water, but upon closer inspection was crystal clear.

Everything was going perfectly for Mordecia. The stage was set, all that was left was the incantation. He went over to his desk and picked up the red rock that he had found, and held it out over top of the culdron, so that it's reflection was shown. Then, Mordecai started to mutter the incantation. The fluid itself did not change nor move, but the reflection in it began to shift, until it revealed a room in which sat a blond haired Noir.

Mordecai looked on in azumi's household. They seemed to be quite busy with something. Moving perhaps? He watched on as a skeletal boy helped the woman move boxes about, and recognized him as a magical mishap. He had heard about these rare occurances, but had never expected to have seen one for himself. This too was very facinating; he may need to do a study on them later. The only other one that he had heard of on record, was one about a student in the school who had tried to cheat during an exam using an MP3 player.

Mordecai watched on, and for a while it seemed to him that he had possibly made a mistake in his incantation, but then he noticed as the woman pulled out what seemed to be a small lemon colored gem. He looked to the red one in his hand and back down at the yellow one. Yes, they were the same type of stone alright. Good, he'd now be able to see if some of his theories were true. Slowly, he began to dunk his bearded face into the culdron until it was portruding out of the woman's ceiling. Along with his head, he also brought in his hand to place finger over his lips to signal silence to the woman from a possible scream.

Mordecai was very surprized with how the mishap had taken his sudden appearance. Normally the students he had taught, when they had seen this spell either went wild with fear or excitement. In this case however, Mordecai tried to calm down the woman.

"Please miss, calm down. I am Professor Mordecai Serzak of Daistorm Magic School, and I am conducting a little bit of research on a very puzzling matter I have recently encountered," Mordecai said. Then the part of him that was still in his labratory pulled out the stone from his pocket and lowered it through the culdron and the woman's ceiling so that she could get a good look at it. Then, with his free hand, he pointed to the stone that azumi was currently holding. "I did a track and scry spell to try and find somebody with a stone similar to my own, and I wonder if I could ask you a bit about it; for research purposes."

Mordecai was almost starting to think that this was going to be a waste of time. 'Scry spell?' she had asked, that was even a basic magical concept. How could anybody with a magical being living in their house be so unknowledgeable? Mordecai adjusted the glasses on his face to keep them from falling to the ground before he spoke.

"A scry spell, or 'scrying' is a magical way of spying, but instead of spying, I'm scrying. That's not important however. What is important is what you know about that stone there. Firstly, where did you get it?"

"The sky. Hmm..." Mordecai thought for a bit. "So it wasn't just this one. At least that solves my elements question. All of these stones do come from the sky it seems." Mordecai then remembered something. "Now, when you place your hand to the stone, do you also feel as though there is something deeper within it than beauty and rock? Warmth perhaps?"

"Yes, I suppose calm defines it too. Hmm..." Mordecai thought back to his encounter with Tari and suddenly realized that what the boy had said must be true.
"Oh my! He was telling the truth after all!" Mordecai exclaimed suddenly realizing what a burden had just been placed on him "Miss azumi? As strange as this is going to sound, I believe that these stones actually contain some form of life inside them!"

"But this is different then isn't it? These stones fell from the sky. That either means that somebody from this world is shooting these stones up into the sky and facading them as stars, or that these stones are really from another world!" Mordecai exclaimed, astounded with his own descovery.

Suddenly, Mordecai lost his grip of Davin's stone, and it went tumbling through the culdron and instantly appeared falling from azumi's ceiling onto the floor, as if the ceiling itself were merely a hologram. As the stone fell, Mordecai felt a sudden pulse of fear and heartache resonate from the stone into himself.

"Oh dear," he exclaimed "Excuse me miss but could you please hand that back to me. I fear my grip isn't what it used to be."

Mordecai then extended both his hands through the ceiling.

Mordecai watched the strange phenominon occur with an intent gaze. He had absolutely no idea what was going on, and felt compelled to jump down through the culdron in order to feel what was going on between the two stones. However, based on the internal resonance that he was feeling, Mordecai felt that it was some sort of interaction between the two stones. Patiently, Mordecai waited with his hands still outstretched, very much content with the data he had collected today and eager to write it all down before he forgot.
