Once, at the end of the storyline, I got pushed to the oblivion gate closest to the temple twice acd managed to get back out alive (you wouldn't believe how many enemies try to swarm you when you end up in that situation...) and then there was the time when I was doing the seige of bruma and trying to destroy the great oblivion gate and I just ran through, didn't worry about fighting anything, I just ran! (I think I had most of oblivion following me...)

Lol
Well
Here is my tale
The night was still young i was tired from a long journey i was coutning on foot. I had a horse Shadowmere i called her. At the first sign of battle she attacked sadly she was knocked uncounsis. After i slew the beast i got back on her and rode her down the gold road after noticing the terriable scar i left her at a random stable anvil kvatch i forgot. Being my greedy self i couldnt hel pbut explore more caves more ayield ruins and forts. One in particular Fort alisea. To my suprise on maurders lodged there. I didnt know what to expect i charged into ready to fight animals or monsters but there were orcs bretons and even argonians i was beated with magika warhammers and swords i barely escaped with my life after casting a parayzle spell. As i ran they follow i kept running and running til i found two imperial guards to my resucue they only took out 3 of the 5 following me. Sadly they died. I looted there bodys for there shiny silver sword hey a mans got a make a profit anyway he can. The armor was too heavy to common too useless it wouldnt make any price. I ran and ran still there were no more guards heh my luck. So this was my final blast shot i got a fire blast scroll which i knew was powerful it only killed one and wounded the other it slowed them down one died but the other kept following me even so his wounds were fierece. What was i to do? I quickly grabbed my trusty sword Umbra i had obtained on one of my raids! I slashed through the maurder to my suprise yet again a lion came behind me and killed me when i wasnt looking.

i'm tryin to get into the thieves guild right, but that darn woman stole the book first. so i snuck behind her outside and tried to steal it from her, but she cauht me and i got sent to jail. by payin a begger, he said wait till noon. so i hit rest button. i went through the door with a recently acquired metherandrel's house key. she immedietly woke up and got all short with me. she said she hid it well. i pickpocketed her, right when she got back downm to the bed. she caught me and shouted, pickpocket. i found the book in a chest and i dashed. i jumped into the water and swam away. that was my great escape. bein an argonian helped me stay underwater for a while, waited them out.

Ah, Frenzy. Most hilariously funny spell in the game. Not terribly useful, but hilarious to watch.
Stand back a ways, and cast it on a group of people. Priceless fun.
My most epic battle had to be the time I wandered into some fort (the name escapes me) And right inside the entrance (well, a few hundred feet in) there were three Xivalai. Three.
Sure, I could have beaten them one at a time, but three at once? No way.
So of course, I snuck past them. A short distance down the hall was another one. Seriously.
Well, at this point, I was cursing my luck, and suddenly had the idea to fight all four of them. After all, my Markynaz would help me, wouldn't he?
So I stopped sneaking and all four of them closed in on me just as I was casting Summon Dremora Lord.
I was able to kill two of them myself, skillfully sidestepping some of their attacks so that they hit each-other as much as I was hitting them, but my Markynaz was slain in the excitement, and I didn't have the time or the magicka to cast the spell again. The last two Xivalai almost killed me, and I started running. I knew better than to leave the dungeon, and just ran around in circles until my magicka came back, casting a small healing spell, too. I summoned my Markynaz again and turned on the two Xivalai.
Two Daedric Claymores are better than one.

Ah...my favorite Oblivion moment. I like roleplaying, so it'll be in third-person, past-tense.

Maikau lurched out the door of the massive citadel in the center of the Oblivion realm he was in. A Scamp, a Xivilai, a and a Dremora Valkynaz were chasing quickly after him. He reached the edge of the island, and smiled quietly as he swivelled around to face the enemy's he had lured into his trap.
He already had an arrow notched, and with one swift shot to the head, the Valkynaz was felled. The Xivilai roared, and, ignoring his fallen comrade, lunged at Maikau. By this time, however, the skilled bladesman had already drawn the mystic sword known as Goldbrand, and with two swipes, took down the raging monster.
The frightened Scamp took off. The Argonian Sharpshooter took his time drawing his bow and aiming, before finally firing. The arrow shot straight and accurately, planting itself in middle of the Scamp's back.
He already had an arrow notched to take out any other that had followed, and by sheer chance, a Dremora Scout, whom Maikau had not seen earlier, walked by. The Scamp's corpse fell to the ground at his feet, and he turned toward the source, drawing his blade. Maikau turned, and before the scout had taken three steps, he had fired. The scout managed to put his feet on the ground twice more before he was lifted by the arrow that shot through his head, landing his limp body on the ground next to the Scamp.

It was cool because of the way things played out. I've always been fairly good with a bow, but that time, not only did I escape without a scratch, but I landed every arrow exactly where it was intended. The scout I managed to his in the forehead. The Valkynaz got shot in the eye. On both, I was aiming between the eyes, where I always do.
And I like to brag about my amazing archery skills in Oblivion, so I'll make something clear. I don't fight in close quarters. When in the citidels, I always draw my enemies into an open space. I might have killed the Xivilai that time, but had I fought with Goldbrand, I would have been overwhelmed(there were several more monsters in the area). My aim is excellent with a bow, and if I decide to shoot you on an open plain, you are bound to get hit.

I've made headshots before, and fairly often. Strictly speaking, they don't cause more damage, but it's awesome to walk up to your kill and marvel at the Glass arrow sticking out of his forehead.

I like the through-and-through headshots. And they do more damage for a helmet-less enemy. If they have a full set of Daedric Armor, minus the helmet, you want a headshot.
As to your question, Organization, essential NPC's can't be hit in the head. The arrows go to either their shoulders or their chest. As for the Scamp, I dunno.
