Birthplace: Somewhere called Darnassus Eyes: Don't show much of a color. They glow whiteish silver, original color can't be seen Hair: Waist length, messy and fairly straight. Sapphire blue. Skin: Almost pure white Height: 5'7 Weight: Won't say. Distinguishing Features: Fairly tall, has a sort of ethereal beauty. Her eyes glow a bright white, so it's hard to see the irises. Has dark blueish purple markings on her face, a stripe going down each eye. Very long, pointed ears, and thin, tapered fingers. Likes: Animals, Silverwing, Frostfur, quiet, archery, tiger-back riding, dark areas, solitude Dislikes: Someone she calls the Horde, bright lights, loud noises Personality: Verwin is friendly enough, but she's quiet; she's in a world completely different from her own. So there is a good deal that confuses the night elf. She speaks with a sometimes hard-to-understand accent, but she pushes on anyways. Verwin deeply loves her animal companions, and her adopted daughter Tyranna. The elf is a skilled fighter, from what she has shown, and doesn't appear to have any sort of qualms about death and blood. Love Interest: Shown none Sexuality: Appears to be asexual. Has shown no interest in romance. Family: Verwin has mentioned a child that was left behind in the Instance, but she remains tight lipped about it. History: She has let slip that she was born in a Night Elf city called Darnassus, before going to a place called Auburdine, then Sentinel Hill. Verwin said she was hunting in a mine when she got pulled into an Instance(A teleporter of sorts) and wound up in gaia, near Karma's office building. She has mentioned that she did leave some family behind, a child, though she won't say anything else on the child. Companions: A large, gray and silver owl who she's named Silverwing, who goes with her everywhere, as well as an enourmous white and black striped tiger, named Frostfur, that acts as a mount for her.  (Some names link to images, and the images won't be the character exactly, just the closest ref. I can currently find) VERWINMother, guardianVerwin is a night elf from a world she calls Azeroth. She won't say much about herself. She was born in the night elf capital of Darnassus, and grew up in the beach-side town of Auburdine before leaving for the other continent to help fight the Horde. It was when she and her group were hunting undead, when she was pulled through a portal, an Instance, that one of the dead warlocks had summoned, getting dragged through to gaia, leaving her allies and child behind, though her owl and mount, Silverwing and Frostfur, luckily got pulled through with her. Since coming to gaia, she's been trying to adjust to the "magic" of electricity and science, constantly being pushed off guard and nervous, surrounded by a world of things she doesn't quite understand, and of creatures she's never seen or heard of before. SILVERWINGPet, guardVerwin's "pet", and battle comrade, they have fought together since Verwin first started training as a hunter, almost a hundred years ago. He's very old, though hardly acts it. An enourmous, gray and silver owl, his feathers have long since lost the tawny gold and brown colors, instead taking on mottled silver and gray bars. Roughly the size of a bald eagle, he has a wickledly sharp beak and talons, and is a formidable fighter. A wonderful body guard, he has saved Verwin too many times to count, and can think on his own apart from his comrade. He is awkward around Ty, though, because of his sheer mass compared to her, but he is gentle with his claws. FROSTFURMount, guardA large white tiger, who Verwin says is a white striped Frostsaber, but is basically an enourmous white bengal tiger. She is essentially Verwin's "horse", and acts as the night elf's mount. Incredibly fast and mobile, she is a strong fighter, often acting as a backup in battles, keeping swords and axes away from Verwin with her long, formidable fangs. She likes Tyranna, sometimes letting her sit on her back and giving her occasional rides, but she doesn't generally like small things. She has a temper, so she will often growl if she hears raised voices. And a 300lb tiger is often enough to get any arguement settled. --------- UNKNOWNVerwin's childAlmost nothing is known about this person, except that they got left behind when the Instance pulled Verwin through.  (Click images for uncerted picture)  Tyranna as she first came to me. She was crawling along on the ground after I fell throught the instance; Frostfur almost mauled her, from sheer surprise of a little white thing appearing under her snout. I thought she was a runaway dryad for a second! But she was beautiful, and I guess she chose me.

The twins and Tyranna certainly appeared to hit it off, with a mutual fascination with Tyranna's horn, Duke's coloring, and Prince's nose. Marianna Mayer has observed (The Unicorn and the Lake), "The unicorn is the only fabulous beast that does not seem to have been conceived out of human fears. In even the earliest references he is fierce yet good, selfless yet solitary, but always mysteriously beautiful." Medieval UnicornsMedieval knowledge of the fabulous beast stemmed from biblical and ancient sources, and the creature was variously represented as a kind of wild a**, goat, or horse. By A.D. 200, Tertullian had called the unicorn a small fierce kidlike animal, and a symbol of Christ. Ambrose, Jerome and Basil agreed. The predecessor of the medieval bestiary, compiled in Late Antiquity and known as Physiologus, popularized an elaborate allegory in which a unicorn, trapped by a maiden (representing the Virgin Mary) stood for the Incarnation. As soon as the unicorn sees her it lays its head on her lap and falls asleep. This became a basic emblematic tag that underlies medieval notions of the unicorn, justifying its appearance in every form of religious art. It is clear that Marco Polo was describing a rhinoceros. In German, since the sixteenth century, Einhorn ("one-horn") has become a descriptor of the various species of rhinoceros. In popular belief, examined wittily and at length in the seventeenth century by Sir Thomas Browne in his Pseudodoxia Epidemica, unicorn horns could neutralize poisons. Therefore, people who feared poisoning sometimes drank from goblets made of "unicorn horn". Alleged aphrodisiac qualities and other purported medicinal virtues also drove up the cost of "unicorn" products such as milk, hide, and offal. Unicorns were also said to be able to determine whether or not a woman was a virgin; in some tales, they could only be mounted by virgins.
