September 4th Taken off AIM poofbagel1989: Verwin was leaning against a thick tree trunk, a leather back pack in front of her, miscellaneous items spread around. A large silver owl sat nearby, wings folded as he rested his beak on his chest feathers. Frostfur was dozing next to her friend, her massive head resting on her paws. Where am I? She thought idly, as she looked through what came through the portal with her. I still havn't seen anything living, aside from some squirrels and deer. The night elf sighed, slouching down against the tree trunk as she moved her bow in the grass. "C'mon Frost, Silver." Verwin whistled to her two companions, standing up with creaking muscles. There're some animals over North." karma of gaia: "I'm not telling you that you have to treat her like royalty..." Karma sighed at the man who stood in front of her desk, trying not to make eye contact with him as her pen skritched over the fields on the release form. "You don't seem to get it. She's not a pet, she's a baby. Would you buy a baby a diamond collar, Mr. Diosden?" "Well she IS an animal..." he argued, looking to the gossamer-maned unicorn that laid in the cradle nearby. Karma stopped in mid-writing, looking up at him with her full-on vulpine features. "Your POINT?" she asked, laying her ears back. Maybe she'd made a mistake....maybe you COULDN'T judge a good parent by their application. poofbagel1989: Swinging herself up onto Frostfur's back as the large tiger stood up, she gave her a light tap with her heels. "C'mon then." Silverwing opened his wings, laboriously rising up from the ground to fly ahead. Shutting her eyes, she murmered a soft word. "I think there's a man and, something else up ahead." She told Frost. "Would you please?" The tiger started forward with soft steps as Verwin slung her bow around her shoulders, before speeding up to a ground eating lope. It didn't take long to get to where the man and the "thing" were. It wasn't a very large building, but it didn't look anything like the spiraling tree homes of the night elves, but it looked vaguely like the human's houses. Frowning, her long eyebrows drawn together, she slid silently off the tiger's back as Silverwing landed lightly on the roof of the building. She could hear voices through an open window, something about animals... Was that what she had sensed? Creeping quietly up to the window, she tapped the power all night elves could use, as she blended with the shadows, turning invisible as she looked through the window. Tyranna was half-dozing in her cradle, watching the two big people in boredom. She couldn't tell what they were saying, but she was bored. Very bored. It was while the two big people were yelling that she felt something interesting come. Craning her head backwards, she looked up at the window high above her head. Someone was there, but she couldn't see. Wriggling in her cradle, she managed to crawl out, crawling awkwardly across the floor and out the door. Now, where'd that interesting thing go to? karma of gaia: "Well, its just animals aren't really people, right?" he pressed. Karma had resumed writing on the form, though her penstrokes had become erratic and angry, her handwriting dissolving into violent chickenscratch. "Maybe where you come from they aren't, but I think you've forgotten you're in Gaia. And you're not going to get very far unless you drop that bigoted attitude." "Its not bigoted!" he insisted. "They're just different, that's all...." The pen laid down on the desk. "Mister Diosden, when I reviewed your form, you made it sound to me like you were willing and prepared to care for one of Fourth Wall's children and that you were well-aware of what they were. In their realm, they ARE the people. And I find it really insulting that you'd put them on a level under yourself just because they're not human. Especially considering how rare an opportunity it is to be a father to such a beautiful--" She gestured at the empty cradle a moment before actually looking at it and finding it empty. Her ears promptly wilted, as did her stomach. .....uh oh. poofbagel1989: Verwin frowned again. There was a human man in the room, as well as what looked to be a woman. But... She had fur. And a tail, and furry ears. Verwin momentarily forgot that fact as the woman suddenly seemed upset over something. She stood on her tiptoes to look through the window, and saw a small box thing lying on the floor, empty save for a few blankets and a star plushie. A missing baby? She thought, climbing onto Frostfur's back to fit her arms through the window, just as a small white form crawled out the door a few feet away from the Night Elf. Tyranna looked around as she left the building, before her young gaze focused on a large white furry thing, and a long eared woman standing on it's back. There's the interesting thing! The baby thought in triumph, speeding her crawl till she crawled under the belly of the furry thing, and sat between the tiger's front legs before poking it's paw. Frostfur hadn't noticed the little baby's approach, and when the tiger felt the touch on her paw, she bucked, letting loose a load roar. Verwin fell forward through the window, falling onto the floor and hitting her head on the desk, causing her to lose her concentration. She turned visible in an eyeblink, her blue hair standing out in the office. Frostfur was still hoping around outside, trying to find the little white thing without stepping on it. Silverwing still perched on the roof, watching the baby and the tiger with large, gold eyes, before hoping down and yanking the baby out from under the cat, the baby's diaper held in his beak. karma of gaia: Karma leapt from her seat, rushing around the front office of the Fourth Wall building as she sought the wayward infant. "Oh hell...." she muttered. "oh hell, oh hell, oh HELL...!!" Nothing like this had ever happened before. She'd never LOST a baby...!! "What kind of business are you running here??" Mr. Diosden demanded, crossing his arms over his chest. "You're some sort of adoption agency and you can't even keep track of your kids? Is this some sort of scam?" Karma might have decked him if she wasn't so preoccupied. She couldn't just let a baby run loose, not in this building where there were so many things to get into. Not---her eyes fell on the front door, which was open a few inches. Not a lot by most standards, but certainly enough for a baby to get out through. "s**t...!!" she hissed, shoving past the would-be adopter and out the door, hoping she wasn't already too late. poofbagel1989: Verwin shook her head, flipping backwards and onto her feet, her sword drawn. No one there. Cautiously lowering her sword, still wary, she crept to the door, down the hallway. She froze as she saw the man's back; he was wearing odd clothing, certainly nothing she'd seen before. Verwin saw a tail disappear through a door; the woman. She was shouting about something, and that was when Verwin heard Frostfur roaring. Sheathing her sword, she ran silently down the hallway, shoving past the man and woman, and outside to the spooked tiger. Frostfur wasn't near the baby anymore, but she was still jittery. As her friend approached, she calmed down, butting her head to the elf's chest as the growls faded to soft rumbles, then to silence. Verwin made soothing sounds, while scratching the tiger's ears, before looking to see what had caused the impromptu noise. Silverwing had a little white thing in his beak; it looked like a cross between a horse and a deer, but it had human limbs. Is it a dryad? She thought in confusion; they were usually deer from the waist down, elf from waist up. As she watched her owl and the baby, the baby started wriggling. Tyranna tugged away from the big bird, reaching her arms towards the white skinned woman. She's the interesting one! The unicorn child started burbling, and a moment later she fell out of her diaper. Ignoring the fact that her bare, furry bottom was now exposed to two woman, a grown man, an owl and an oversized cat, Tyranna immediately crawled towards the startled elf, latching onto her shin and wrapping her legs around Verwin's calf. karma of gaia: The brief search outside the front of the building yielded no unicorn child, and Karma bit her lip as she ran frantically in the direction of the building's rear. Surely she couldn't have gotten far...she'd only been gone for a couple of minutes. It occurred to her that she wished she had a name she could call out that the child might recognize, but Diosden hadn't named her yet. All she could do was look. As she reached the building's rear, one furry ear pricked at the sound of not-too-distant babytalk and she bolted in its direction, stopping short as she nearly ran headlong into the elf and her party. "Wh--" she started to say, before noticing that the baby unicorn was clinging to the elf's leg, seeming quite happy about it. Oh hell... poofbagel1989: Verwin teetered as the baby clung to her leg like a bush-burr. Frostfur let a small growl rumble up her throat; she hadn't forgotten the surprise. Kneeling one on her free leg, Verwin gently pried the giggling baby off her leg, holding her around the waist. "What are you?" She asked in her own language, doubting she'd receive an answer. Verwin looked over to the man and woman, finally taking note of the woman's features. When she did, she frowned. More appropriately, what is she? The elf thought, holding the baby in her arms as she walked towards the man and woman. "I-I think this is yours?" She asked in rough common, hoping they understood. Tyranna was giggling happily, waving her arms in the face of the woman, her tiny little tail flicking back and forth, back and forth, as her hair fell over her shoulders. karma of gaia: Karma breathed a sigh of relief as she ventured forward to collect Tyranna. "Yes....yes, I'm sorry." she said quietly, edging past the big cat as she approached. "She must have gotten out while I was filling out the form. I just--" "MUST have??" Mr. Diosden demanded from behind her. "This is just flat-out negligance on your part, do you know that??" "Its never happened before." she said, reaching out to take Tyranna. "It was just an accident." "Right. Just an accident." he mocked. "I'd like to see you call it that if she'd gotten run over in the street. Why don't you just save me some time and give me my daughter? I want to go home." he said petulantly. Karma stopped in mid-reach and turned on him suddenly. "You know what? Why don't YOU save ME some time and get the hell away from my building??" she snarled. "All you've done since the moment you came in was give me more and more reasons not to like you." "But I filled out the FORM!" he whined. "And the paper shredder will LOVE IT!!" she retorted, giving him a shove backwards. "Now LEAVE!" Diosden stumbled two steps backwards, catching himself on a tree before he could fall over. "That's assault!" he squawked. "I can sue you for--" he was cut short as Karma curled her lips back, baring her fangs at him, sending him scuttling around the front of the building. A moment later, there was the sound of a car engine gunning and pulling away. Once he was gone, Karma sighed, rubbing at her temples with her fingertips. "I'm sorry...." she said to whomever in the group cared to listen. "I usually don't blow up like that, but he was...." she trailed off and shook her head. It didn't matter now. poofbagel1989: Verwin shook her head; the woman spoke Common, at least. "No, no, that's alright..." She said. At least the woman didn't seem to be aware of Verwin's tumble into her building. "Do you want your child back?" The elf asked, giving the baby an odd look, because the child had suddenly clung to her arms, refusing to let go. "Because I think you might have some trouble dislodging her..." karma of gaia: Karma made as if to attempt to pick up Tyranna again, and then paused, her outreached hands folding themselves into fists and withdrawing. "You know..." she began. "....this is a lot more enthusiasm than she showed to the guy who was supposed to adopt her...." poofbagel1989: A look of surprise took over the night elf's face, her eyes gleaming brighter. "Adopt? No, I couldn't..." She hurried on, wanting to wave her arms, but a certain naked baby was taking them up. "I don't even know where I am..." She said weakly, as the little girl wrapped her arms around Verwin's neck, cuddling against her shoulder. karma of gaia: Karma's brow furrowed. Well, he couldn't have expected it to be that easy. Oh well. "This is Gaia." she explained. "Downtown Barton to be exact. Though....I'm not sure how much that helps you." Pause. "How about you come up to the front and I'll see if I can explain things better?" poofbagel1989: Verwin couldn't help but nod in confusion. Gaia? Downtown Barton? What was Downtown anyways? Getting a firmer grip on the baby, she whistled to Silverwing and Frostfur. "Wait outside, alright?" She told them in Elven. They both nodded, settling down as Verwin followed the animal woman inside. "I'm sorry, but... What's Gaia?" karma of gaia: Karma paused at her desk where she'd grabbed up Diosden's form and was now crumpling it between her hands. Drawing a deep breath, she let it out again in a sigh. How did you explain Gaia...? "Well, I guess its sort of a melting pot." she told her. "People have come here from all sorts of worlds and dimensions. Humans, animals, elves, fairies, demons, angels....they all live here in relative peace with each other. That's actually what this place is about. You see, the children..." she gestured at Tyranna "...are coming from a dying world. A small rift has opened between their dimension and Gaia, and as a last ditch effort at surviving, the newborns are being passed through the rift. And then I help them find new homes with denizens of Gaia." She pitched the wad of paper into her wastebin. "We've homed about forty-plus so far and they just keep coming...I think the most recent surge of them means the worst for their homeworld." poofbagel1989: Verwin remained silent for the explanation, letting it all work through her head as she tried to make sense of it. "So... There are other elves?" She asked; that had been one of her concerns, that she'd be the only one. She looked at the baby in her arms, who seemed to have fallen asleep. "But, I don't know if I can take her. I can live in the woods, but I don't know about the baby..." Verwin trailed off. karma of gaia: Karma nodded "There are other elves. I've seen them." The ones that immediately came to mind were Aki, Eirnae, and Neith. At this, Karma opened the top drawer of her desk where, just a few minutes before, she had deposited her book about mythological creatures when she had been TRYING to explain unicorns to Diosden before realizing he was more or less of a lost cause. She opened it to its dogeared page and skimmed until she found what she was looking for. " 'The unicorn was said to be most oft seen deep in the woods or in the darkest of glens. It was said that little could lure them from their leafy abodes, save for spring's first rain, which would bring them out to prance in the meadows.' " She skipped the part where it detailed that a young virgin could also be used to lure the male unicorn out of hiding and closed the book. "I don't think there'd be much of a problem with woods-living..." poofbagel1989: Verwin listened attentively; there wasn't anything like a unicorn in Azeroth, not that she had seen at least. "And the baby's a unicorn?" She asked, just to get it straight, as she detached the baby's chubby little arms from her neck, holding her in her lap. "But I'm used to rough living. I can live in the woods; will she be capable of it, as a baby? When she's older, she'd be fine in the woods I think, but when this little?" karma of gaia: Karma's ears perked. Never heard of a unicorn? EVERYBODY had heard of unicorns...! ...or so she thought. Biting her lip, she handed the book over the desk to Verwin. "You'd better take this." she told her. "I think as long as you're gentle with her and don't let her run off on her own where something could get her, she should be fine. Plus, unless she's an exception, she's a magical creature. I'm sure she's not without her means to survive..." She realized she was pushing this, but she honestly had no one else in mind for Tyranna's parenting and the child had clearly formed a bond with the elf woman, whether or not it was mutual. The last thing she needed was an emoing infant. poofbagel1989: Verwin wanted to take the child; she really did. It was like deja vu with her first one... She pushed that thought away. "I-I'll take her... But what's her name?" The elf gave the woman a quizzical look, her head tilted to the side as her eyes gleamed. karma of gaia: "That's up to you." Karma told her. "She didn't come with one." Inwardly, she began to relax as things started to fall into place. The alternative would have been listening to the infant unicorn screaming at Verwin's departure, trying to escape-proof the office, and hastily looking for someone else to take her and hope to god she didn't try to run away from them. poofbagel1989: Verwin fell silent, thinking. "Tyranna." She said after a moment. A name any normal elf child could have. Verwin resolved herself to teach the baby her own language, as well as whatever it was that was spoken here. The fewer problems, the better, though this in itself opened up a good deal more of them. Tyranna snored softly as she snoozed in her new guardian's lap, her tail flicking now and then. "So what should I do now?" The night elf asked in confusion. karma of gaia: "Well," Karma began, fumbling a paper out of a pile and sliding it across the desk to her with an uncapped pen. "If you could fill this out, that would be wonderful....I'll explain any parts you don't understand. And after that....I suppose that's really up to you. I can give you some supplies to get you started, if you like." poofbagel1989: "That would be wonderful..." She said with relief, only then realizing she still didn't know the woman's name, much less, and more importantly, what she was. "Umm, if you don't mind... You're not an elf, obviously, but you don't look human either..." Verwin said hesitantly. karma of gaia: "I'm an anthro." she replied simply, smiling. "I guess...um....manbeasts some people call them. Me, personally, I'm a mix of a fox and a raccoon." Her eyes widened a bit. "Oh! Geez, I didn't even introduce myself. My name's Karma." she said, offering a hand. poofbagel1989: Verwin shook it with a small smile. "And I'm Verwin, daughter of Rowenaria and Methalus." She couldn't think of a reply to the 'manbeast' part, since she had seen a number of 'manbeasts' as it were. "Well, thank you Karma. Not quite sure what I should do now..." She trailed off, grinning sheepishly. karma of gaia: "Do you have a way back home...?" she asked, seeming a bit concerned. "I mean, if you need to stay here for awhile, there's a housing commission over in Aekea that could set you up with a house. I can help if you want..." She was already getting up from behind the desk to head for her supply closet and pick out what had become the standard "YAY NEW BABY" package that she gave to all new parents. poofbagel1989: Verwin shook her head reluctantly. "I don't think so... I didn't exactly come from home anyways.." She grew tightlipped as she recalled. An undead mage had created a portal and shoved her through. She had landed in unknown woods with everything she had on her, with Silverwing and Frostfur. "I don't think it'd be a wise choice to go back the way I cam, even if it was possible." Verwin said simply enough as she accepted the package from Karma, shifting her hold on Tyranna to look at it. karma of gaia: "Well, would you like me to point you at Aekea, then?" she inquired, cocking her head a bit. "They'll probably want a deposit of gold. I'd be happy to lend you some." So Verwin was a complete stranger, so what? She'd done favors for strangers before. She honestly regretted the day she wandered into the charity forum with a spare fox tail to give and had nearly been mugged for it. poofbagel1989: Verwin's eyesbrows shot up. "A house costs a couple of gold? No, I couldn't ask you for that... If you could maybe spare some silver or something, that'd be enough." Were things that expensive here? The most money the elf had ever had at one point had been a few gold. Maybe money was different here? karma of gaia: "Nope, no silver." Karma said with a shake of her head. "Everything's done in gold here. But don't worry, its not that hard to come by. Its just a little slow accumulating. I think a house runs for about....twenty-thousand." she said, fumbling into her pants pocket for a checkbook and hastily writing out the slip of paper and handing it over to Verwin. "If its too much, just keep the change, you'll need it." she said. poofbagel1989: Verwin felt her jaw go slack. "Tw-Twenty thousand...?" Simply getting a war-tiger cost sixty gold. A house, twenty thousand? "Oh lord and lady..." She murmered under her breath, shaking her head. "I can't thank you enough, but that's alright. I'll manage." Verwin finished with a smile, pushing the paper, the check, whatever that was, back to Karma. "Thank you, but no. I'll just hang around for a little while, then." SHe said with a small smile, standing up as she gathered her new child to her chest, holding her tightly as she gave Karma a small wave, before heading out the door. FINISHED

September 4th Main Building, Noon After receiving Tyranna UNFINISHED Satin Regret Verwin was still in a slight daze. Just the other day, she had been in the Dead Mines, hunting the raiders and their allies, when she was yanked unwillingly through an Instance, along with Frostfur and Silverwing, to this strange place. Only to find a small, little lost child, like another, so many years ago... Shaking her head at the unwanted memory, the much confused night elf hefted the bundle in her arms again, getting a better grip as she shuffled around the hallways, squinting at the bright lights above as Silverwing hopped along behind her, his wings too big inside the small corridor. It was all so strange. Lights that flip on with a switch, strange racoon women, odd, horse like babies... She shook her head, transferring the quiet bundle of what she would learn to be a unicorn to her other arm, as she rubbed a temple with her free hand. "What are you, youngling...?" Verwin asked the baby, not expecting an answer as the small white head turned to look up at her, large sapphire eyes blinking up at her before the baby, Tyranna, broke into a wide, friendly smile. Enoh Love "Murrpau." A obsidian skinned child said, his almond shaped purple eyes rested on the large tiger. "Murrpau, Ilhar! Murrpau!" He looked excited as he tugged on Neveah's hand with his own gloved one, pointing with the other at the big cat. He'd never seen a big cat up close before! The toddler Drow was more than excited about this new development.
"Murrpau? Whats Murr--oh. Yeah, thats a Cat, Zasalamel! That's called a 'Tiger', and they're big and dangerous so we're just going to keep walking, okay?" The Butterfly Humanoid said, at first confused over her adopted child's language, then more than worried about the presence of the tiger. After all, she did have a pair of deer twins with her. Tiger and Deer don't go well together, and Prince had no sense of fear, which was more than odd for a deer.
Holding onto the toddler's hand to make sure he didn't try to pet the big cat, she shuffled him into the Fourth Wall building, hoping to ask a few questions about her fairly new, twin charges.
Of course, Zasalamel followed; it was in his nature to follow women, especially if this woman was his Mother. Toddling along with Neveah didn't stop him from looking around though, especially when the buttefly woman stopped to look around, forgetting which way to go. Looking down a linking corridor, his purple eyes - which were glowing from the shadow of his hooded sweater - went wide. "Suru!" He shouted in awe. And a bird, too! "JATHA'LA Suru" He corrected himself, after watching the way the owl was moving.
Of course, his elder brother's shouting caused a more than curious deer to peek his dead out of the stroller, his big brown eyes wide and his disproportionate ears perked. Something interesting was going on, and he wanted to see it too! Satin Regret Frostfur's enourmous head lay on her paws, her eyes shut in every appearance of being asleep. She was resting lightly, an ear open in case anything jumped them, but she was resting; the large tiger needed it, so she cracked an eyelid open as the butterfly woman went inside. Lifting her head up, she watched the door for a moment, before deciding her friend would be fine, then laying her head back down again. Verwin jumped slightly as she heard voices, one old and one young, outside the building. Holding Tyranna against her, she crept towards the door, Silverwing hopping awkwardly behind her, just as an odd looking woman came through the door, a little child that made Verwin's eyes widen holding her hand, and the head of a deer poking out from something the woman was pushing. But what startled the night elf more was what the child said. "Dos... Ph' Eldalie?" Her own eyes gleamed softly in the light, as her blue brows drew together. Turning her gaze back up to the other woman, she finally took a good look at her. Wings. Bug wings. "What are you?" The night elf asked softly, hnot wanting to be rude, but completely overwhelmed at this new world. First a racoon woman and a horse child, now a bug woman? As Tyranna heard the other voices, she turned her head from the leather adorning Verwin's torso to get a good look at the others. She smiled brightly, waving her little hard hands in the air with a pbbttt sound. "Gah!" Her tiny tail was flicking back and forth under Verwin's arms as Silverwing stopped behind his hunter, peering up as his huge eyes blinked at the elf-child. Enoh Love Zasalamel was staring at the bird more than he was paying any attention to the woman...but once she spoke, his hooded head snapped up and stared fully at her, his slightly glowing purple eyes wide. "Dos...Dos telanth harl rivvin?" He didn't know what his language was called but hey, what his Matron called it was good enough for him. Still, he was in awe. Someone understood him! Someone could speak back to him! He tugged on Neveah's hand to point excitedly at the elven woman. "Il kampi'unen!" He informed his butterfly-like guardian.
Truely, his excitement over being understood completely bypassed his fear of women; thus he was able to stare straight at the woman and talk to her, without seeming shy or withdrawn as he normally would have done. "Ilhar telanthen tlun Ilythiiri Darthirii!" He told the woman proudly, pointing at himself. Neveah didn't tell him Drow were generally bad people...she didn't want him to be ashamed what he was.
Neveah had long since stopped, looking from her over clothed son to the woman he was talking to. Obviously she was oblivious to what they were saying, but she did appear to be attempting to understand. When the Elf looked at her, the humanoid pointed at herself on instinct. "I'm...Neveah?" She paused. "Oh, you asked what I am! I'm a Butterfly." Neveah said proudly, wiggling her antennae for a moment before letting go of Zah's hand and turning to extend her black-rimmed blue wings, opening and closing them once before turning back around. "Well, A butterfly humanoid, anyway." The folklorist shrugged. She did look mostly human...save for her angled aqua eyes, her slightly, but still gracefully elongated features...and other things that were hidden by clothing.
"And what are you?" She had every right to ask that now, considering the woman asked her first. But still...Neveah hadn't seen an elf quite like she before...and there were some strange things on Gaia.
Prince and Duke, the twin deer in the stroller, both heard the little girl, and both reacted quiet differently. Prince, the spotted brat, leaned far out of his seat and tried to see the creature responsible for the noise...and he started keening in excitement when he did catch a glimpse of her. She was pretty, very very pretty! Despite having close to the same amount of colour as his brother, she was pretty! His little tail wagged up and down in excitement, now putting his energies into trying to get out of the stroller.
Oh yeah, deer-like fear missed Prince by a few thousand feet.
Duke, when he heard the noise, peeked his own white head out from the stroller, hiding behind his brother for the most part. Slowly, his white ears lifted, his red eyes staring at the unicorn girl. Hey, she was similar to him in colours! Now, he was shyly curious. Satin Regret Verwin couldn't help but smile at the little child, pointing proudly to himself as she knelt down by him. "Usstan tlun natha Isto Darthirii, lotha renor uss." She said, grinning, before looking up at the woman, Neveah, with a slight shrug. "I'm a Night Elf, from..." She paused, looking away before continuing. "Somewhere that isn't here." Verwin's english wasn't totally understandable, as the common-language differed in her world. Tyranna burbled happily, waving her hands as the two heads craned out of the stroller. One looked kind of like her, but a different face. And his eyes were pink! Giggling, she latched a hand onto the stroller, using the other hand to poke the brown creature's wet nose in fascination, her already long hair falling over her shoulder as she squirmed. Enoh Love "Natha Isto Darthirii..." Zasalamel repeated back, his purple eyes narrowing for a moment, then widening in sudden shyness and reverance as she knelt down to him. At this close proximity, he couldn't help but remember this elf was female! "Usstan...Usstan...Ve-Vendui...Lle'warin Isto Darthirii..." He then said shyly, now completely avoiding eye contact. Ever-so-nonchalantly, he slowly grabbed his Matron's hand again, trying to discreetly hide behind her.
Neveah's head craned to the side. This woman was hard to understand! But...she thought she had the gist of it. "Not...from here you said? If you don't mind my asking...where is it you hail from?" Being the folklorist she was, she was curious to know about this woman. After all, she was the first Night Elf she'd ever seen, and she'd been around Gaia and parts of the outer world.
See, Prince liked this girl. Really liked this girl, despite her being completely white. She was paying attention to him, and that alone instantly got her into his good books! Squirming in his seat, the fawn's dark, hard hand reached out and poked at the little pointy-thing coming out of her forehead. It was cool! He wanted a pointy-thing on his forehead, too! Duke was more than happy to watch the two from where he was; perhaps he'd join in on the fun, perhaps not.
Duke did, however, leaned forward a bit to try and sniff at the other white creature's hand, his disproportionate white ears raised in curiousity and alertness.
"Kueh?" Prince blurted out suddenly, as if it was the most important question in the world. Satin Regret "Ussta kaas zhah Verwin. Vel'bol's dossta?" She asked, frowning slightly as he started to hide behind the woman, his mother. Night Elf children had never shown any fear of her; she wasn't sure why this one would. "Ph' dos stre d' uns'aa?" Verwin asked quietly, the glow softening in her eyes, letting the irises be seen; a light, shiny silver color. She looked up at Neveah as she asked. "Azeroth. From Auburdine..." The elf trailed off, her ears almost perking up in hope. Maybe this woman knew a way back, back to her child. No. Verwin shut that thought away as soon as it rose. Tyranna giggled, grabbing onto his wrist with her free hand as he touched her horn. It glowed softly, hardly see-able in the light of the hallway, when he touched it. She smiled brightly at both the fawns, before leaning over to peer into Duke's face, her little ears twitching in curiosity as her tail flicked underneath her. Enoh Love "Zasalamel. Ussta kaas zhah Zasalamel." The Drow said meekly, absently scratching at his obsidian cheek. When she asked if he was afraid of her though, he gasped a bit and clutched onto Neveah's jeans. After a moment of awkwardly shy silence from the boy, he finally spoke. "Ligrr. Dos ph' natha ligrr." He said simply, as though everything had been explained just by that.
"Azeroth...I don't think I've ever heard of Azeroth..." Neveah said absently, tapping at her chin with her slightly elongated finger. "But its probably mentioned in the archives..." This she said aloud, though she meant to think it. It was rare for her not to recognize a place...she was a folklorist after all. But what she didn't know, she could probably find out! "I know that definately isn't even remotely from around here. Do you at least have a place to stay?" The butterfly woman had noticed the baby. If you have a baby, it was probably a good idea to have a home. It was just easier that way!
"Don't take it personally, Night Elf. He's just afraid of women...its just the way he is." Neveah finally realized Zasalamel was gripping her for safety...and she thought she'd clarify for the woman. Even if the woman hadn't introduced herself in English; the butterfly couldn't understand undercommon.
Of couse Prince didn't notice the glow...but that didn't stop him from trying to poke at it! Well, Tyranna's grip was a bit of a hinderance but...he could still do it! Naturally he missed her horn though, and ended up wiggling his black fingers through her pretty wavy hair. This was good, too!
Duke kept staring at the unicorn, though he started and jumped back a bit when she leaned in to stare back at him. Curiousity was the only thing to bring him back, his own bit white ears twitching as hers did...it was like a female mirror, only blue instead of pinkish red! Yes, he'd seen himself in a mirror. Oh, and he didn't have a horn either...or long wavy hair. In fact aside from his fur, he didn't have any hair like hers. Reaching out with a surprisingly bold hand, he went to poke her, to see if she was real and not some fancy illusion like the TV. Satin Regret The night elf frowned at that answer. That certainly didn't make much sense... "Ele zhal'la nindel selg'tarn?" Verwin asked, sitting down and crossing her legs in front of her, holding Tyranna gently in her lapt while keeping a hand on her to keep her in place. She tried not to let her dashed hope show in her face. So the woman hadn't heard of it... "The-The archives?" Did they have one here? Verwin knew the Druids kept one in Darnassus, and some of the Dwarves hade made one in Ironforge, but this place didn't seem likely to have one. At the second question, the hunter looked away. "I'm afraid I don't... I havn't, well, been here long..." Verwin trailed off, shrugging in hopelessness. I do need somewhere, though... I can live outside perfectly fine, but what about the baby...? She let this thought process as the children interacted. "And I'm sorry, my manners have disappeared. I think the portal left them behind in the mines." She smiled wryly. "My name is Verwin, daughter of Rowenaria and Methalus." The night elf held out a hand. Tyranna giggled as she felt the hand in her hair, and the poke on her shoulder. Burbling happily, she waved her arms, giving the deer-twins hugs around the neck as she fell forward slightly, held up by her hug of a hold as her tail flicked around behind her, her ears twitching quickly. Enoh Love Zasalamel's glowing eyes were lowered out of respect. "Ligrren ph' treemma..." Was all he ould say to elaborate. He didn't know why he was afraid of girls...he only knew that he should be, and that was enough.
Neveah looked taken aback. She didn't realize she'd said it out loud! "Well..uh...You're on Gaia, Elf. A lot of people get pulled here...so I imagine somewhere in the archives there is mention of this Azeroth of yours..." After all, there were outer-gaian adoption agencies everywhere! Azeroth may be mentioned, too!
Of course, Neveah instantly regretted asking the Elf about having a home. Partially because Neveah liked her solitude (not that she had much with three boys), and partially because well...the thee boys. The Butterfly woman now had no choice but to offer that spare room, after seeing the hopelessness in the other woman. Damn womanly instincts, damn them! Even those blasted Maternal instincts were at least pretending to be there, too. Heaving a disgruntled sigh, she clasped Verwin's hand with her seemingly frail one. "Pleased to meet you, Verwin, daughter of Rowenaria and Methalus." Neveah parroted back, thinking it was probably customary. "As I mentioned before, I'm Neveah. I don't know my parents, but I suppose Guardian of Zasalamel, Prince and Duke will do." Oddly enough, she found that amusing! As she introduced her sons, she motioned to the Drow, the Spotted Fawn, and the Albino fawn respectively.
Finally, her resolve to avoid the housing issue shattered completely. "Well...considering the wellbeing of the infant...You're more than welcome to stay in my house...I have a spare room you can use if you wanna." She posed quietly, trying to make it sound like the genuine offer her heart felt it should be...but that black shriveled piece in her heart was complaining. "It should be big enough for the both of you, or maybe your little one can stay in the same room as my Fawns...and we have a nice yard, if you don't like being pent up in a house." Though her head told her not to, her heart made her push in one point. "Besides, it'd be easier to take trips to the archives when we're in the same area." This was all for the Unicorn infant's sake, of course!
Prince squealed with glee when he was pulled into a hug. HURRAH ATTENTION YAY! His actions seemed to say, for he nuzzled more than contently into Tyranna's neck, his tail wiggling up and down much to fast to see. Of course, he couldn't help bt gum onher ear once he lifted his head and found it. He chewed on Duke's ear all the time, and the unicorn girl had ears just like Duke!
Duke, however, SQUAWKED when he was pulled into the hug. With a whine of protest he tried to wiggle out of it...but when he realized the attempt was futile, he decided to put up with it. That didn't mean he was happy with it! In fact, he grumped a bit, but found his own tail was moving in confused happiness...apparently the happy part of the happy unicorn was contagious, oh no! Satin Regret Verwin simply shook her head, having no clue why the child was of an adverse opinion, an exhasperated look on her face as she shook hands with Neveah. "Wonderful to meet you." She said simply, smiling slightly at the deer twins. At the offer, her eyes widened in surprise, before the elf frowned. "No, I couldn't impose..." She said, but her heart wasn't in it. She did need a place, for Tyranna at least, and a solution was being offered up right here. "If it wouldn't cause you any trouble, um, well, I can live outside, so only Tyranna really..." Verwin said, fidgeting awkwardly. Still burbling, Tyranna released the two as her ear got caught, causing her head to overbalance a little, which in turn made her roll out of Verwin's arms and onto the floor with a delighted laugh. "Gah!" Enoh Love Zasalamel was more than content now to just watch them all from his spot just beind Neveah's leg. This woman didn't look like him but...she could speak his language? Was that possible? The toddler chewed on his bottom lip in thought...until of course he got distracted by the big owl again. Owls were much more fun to look at!
Inner-Hermit-Neveah cheered at Verwin's words, but Inner-Kind-Neveah scoffed at them. At the mention of causing her trouble though, Neveah stared at the night elf like she was insane. "Cause me...trouble...? I'm sorry if I sound rude but uhh, Are you crazy, Lady?" Neveah leaned her weight onto her right leg, and proceeded to count her troubles on her fingers. "My Eldest "son" is from a bloodthirsty race, is afraid of woman AND currently refuses to speak a language I can understand. My next eldest is a spotted brat who'll do anything for attention and whines and complains when he doesn't get it. My youngest is an albino momma's boy who would probably be very happy if he suddenly was attached to my hip. And my necklace houses the spirit of a fallen guardian of love. To top it all off I have a boss who is making me document my eldest son for research, as if he's a test subject...so above taking care of three and a half handfulls, I have to report to that disgusting old man every week!" Finally, running out of things to rant on, Neveah cut herself off with a heavy sigh. Any further and she might have started to get rather verbal with what she really thought. Composing herself again, Neveah brushed off her little rant with a care free smile; it was the only thing keeping her from going insane. "Cause me trouble? Trust me, You would be more of a help than a catalyst for trouble, Verwin. My offer is still open, I think it would be best for your young one...in the long run, at least."
As Tyranna fell, Prince wet tumbling after; up and over the stroller's edge. Of course, the spotted fawn giggled the entire way down, even as he partially landed on the unicorn girl. "Huuah!" He cried out, throwing his little arms into the air before rolling off of Tyranna. This was fun! She was fun! They should play more often! Prince nuzzled Tyranna's side with his velvet nose; he wanted to play some more!
Duke didn't fall, but he did lean over the stroller's handle and stare at the pile of colour-twin and brother-twin. It was odd, but he wasn't afraid of this girl; in fact he was trying to get out of the stroller, too! My my he was feeling brave...but not quite brave enough to get out of the stroller without help. Thus, he'll whine to his Mother-figure! Lifting his head shyly, Duke pleaded in hiw own way to Neveah, hoping she'd get te hint and take him out of the stroller, too. Satin Regret Verwin grinned in relief, shuddering sympathetically as Neveah ranted, though she didn't understand every word she said. Seemed like her Common and this woman's language were similar enough to converse, but not exactly the same. "Not quite sure what to say to that." She said, patting the butterfly woman on the shoulder with a crooked grin. "But I'm sotty you have to deal with a disgusting old man." She couldn't help but laugh a little, as the younger elves, the ones younger then 500, generally called their Elders that, though all in good jokes. Tyranna shrieked in delight as the deer boy fell on her, before rolling off with a laugh. When he nuzzled her side, she couldn't help it. She started giggling; it appeared the baby unicorn was quite ticklish. It was while she was wriggling that she noticed something funny in the boy's ear, a little shiny white thing. Crawling away from the wet object of mass tickling, she sat on her knees and poked the tag hanging from Prince's ear, her head tilted to the side. Enoh Love Oh, but Neveah wasn't joking. He really was a disgusting old man. But even so, the butterfly woman laughed a little alongside the night elf. "Me too, believe me." Sometimes it was hard to understand the elf...but Neveah could put pieces together to make her words understandable...which was good enough for her. At least there wasn't a language gap like there was with Zasalamel. "So, you'll be staying with us, then?" Just to double-check, of course.
Prince stared at her for a second when she giggled as he nudged her. She giggled...because of him? With his disproportionate ears lifting, he nudged the girl's side again, his big brown eyes staring for a response. However, something distracted him! He keened when she poked his tag, but he kept staring blankly at her with those big eyes of his. Obviously it didn't hurt him, but he thought it would be fun to make a noise when she pressed it. Yeah, he's weird like that.
Duke got his wish, as Neveah picked him out of the stroller and placed him beside Tyranna on the ground. The albino boy nuzzled Tyranna's soft hair, then settled to curl up into a ball beside her; his ultimate show of affection as a baby. She was nice enough to be curled near! Satin Regret Verwin looked up with a grateful smile. "Yes, and I can't thank you enough..." She started; she truly was greatful. From a fellow Night Elf, she would have expected the offer, but she hadn't thought anyone else could be quite so considerate. Most of the other races didn't generally offer places to stay for free. Tyranna started giggling again. The tickling again. She waved her arms, rolling over onto her belly, but since Duke was set down next to her, she rolled over him and right on past, burbling happily as she waved her arms. Enoh Love Free? Not quite. In fact, the more Neveah thought about this, the more she realized this would work in her own favor. Sure she was being generous and offering a place to stay...but at the same time, she was gaining a translator! Hoolay for the end of headaches! For now, anyway. "You're very welcome!" Neveah keened out, quite pleased with herself for offering the house now. "Except...I think we should go out and get some things for....your little girl. I don't have any girl-related things." She did have three boys, after all. And one of them had a plethera of spider-related paraphenalia.
Zasalamel was horrified. More girls going to his house...it was his sanctuary! Grumping over this, he leaned his white-haired head against Neveah's knee, then settled to watching his brothers and the girl-thing play on the floor.
Prince got up on his wobbly legs and started attempting to trek after Tyranna; after all, deer fawns could walk within hours of being born. Prince probably could've been quite adept at walking by now but...he got more attention when he was carried around! The spotted boy almost made it to Tyranna too...but he tripped over his twin and went to the ground, his arms windmilling the entire way. Huffing in agitation to his practically monoshaded brother, he got up onto his hands and knees and went crawling after the girl instead of walking, giggling the entire time. Chases were fun!
Duke squealed as he was rolled over, and rolled over onto his back once Tyranna had rolled off of him. He wasn't as into chases as his twin was, but he did want to at least stay around the unicorn girl...so he too went crawling after, though he tended to stay closer to the floor. Satin Regret Verwin frowned in confusion. "Girl-things? Don't boys and girls use the same things?" At least, they did in Azeroth. Mostly. Was this another odd thing about this world? As she heard the giggles, Verwin looked at the babies, a small grin lighting her face at the small "high speed chase." Tyranna slowly rolled to a stop, laying on her belly as she saw the two boys crawling after her. Clumsily pushing herself up, she tilted her head over her shoulder, her hair falling down her shoulders as Ty grinned, blowing a bubble with her lips. Enoh Love Neveah thought about that. Why did she seem to think girls needed different things? They were just babies after all...it would probably be just fine if they used the same things, but...at the same time. "I suppose they could...but I'd imagine that might make your little one a bit of a tomboy. especially living with three boys close to her age." The butterfly woman shrugged. For whatever reason, girlie-girl seemed to ft a unicorn more than tomboy but...whatever.
Also hearing the giggles, the woman turned a bit to look at the three babies...and started to giggle as well. This arrangement might turn out for the best for everyone, she thought as she saw Duke crawling after Prince and Tyranna.
Prince's head tilted to the side, then promptly sped up just enough to close the distance; then, in a rather bratty move that wasn't all that surprising for him, Prince flopped himself horizontally across Tyranna's back. Naturally, this was done to make sure she couldn't escape him. Grinning proudly to himself, the brat started to nuzzle against Tyranna's side...on purpose. She was fun to make giggle!
Duke, though he was following his twin and the girl, lookback back at his Mother as he heard her laugh. Wow, something must've been fun over there! Of course, this meant he wasn't paying attention to what was in front of him. While he decided whether or not he wanted to go back to Mom...he ended up crawl-crashing into the pile; more specifically his brother's rear; and fell back with a surprised grunt. He stared at the baby pile with wide red eyes and his large ears up as high as they could go, as if this was his first time seeing one. Were they there before?! Satin Regret The night elf frowned again. So many confusing terms... "What's a tomboy?" She asked hesitatnly, feeling a faint pink blush rise to her pale white face. The idea of three other boys wasn't so bad, but maybe the women was talking about them rubbing off on Tyranna? She thought as she watched the babies, grinning slightly. Tyranna let out an 'oof' sound as Prince rolled onto her, kicking her legs behind her as she giggled. Once he started tickling her again, though. Well. She let out a loud shriek, a wide grin on her face as she started wriggling underneath the other child, trying to tug herself out while she giggled. Enoh Love Oh, right...not from Gaia. Neveah looked disgruntled, but otherwise, she was trying to figure out how to explain it. "A tomboy...is a girl who acts more like a boy; Baggy clothes, not liking dresses or skirts, mudfights, playfighting...things like that." Eh, good enough. Shrugging a bit, Neveah bent to ruffle the hood that shadowed th sensitive Drow's face, getting a thin whine of disproval...but the boy din't move to stop her. She too, was watching the little ones.
Ooh, Prince was NOT going to let her go easily. Shrieking in giggles, the spotted brat continued to tickle her until he caught a noseful of her hair and sneezed. Really, that was the only thing that stopped him! But the hair surprised him so much he flopped off of her to paw at his wiggling nose with his hard black hands, going crosseyed to try and see what happened to his nose. Weird!
Duke had gotten over his surprise of running into the baby pile, and instead entertained himself by giggling quietly at his overly confused twin. Really, the look of complete and utter confusion was hilarious to him; he'd never seen Prince look so surprised! His brother was so silly! Satin Regret Verin frowned, even more confused now. "But I know many ladies that do those things, but they are still inclined to the other sex..." She shook her head; this was too much to take in. "Nevermind." She said, giving Neveah a sheepish smile. Tyranna was tugged backwards again as the deer-boy inhaled her hair, causing her to wave her arms in a frantic wobble, before toppling backwards with a small shriek. "Wah!" She rolled over again, rolling into Duke. Grinning up at him, she sneezed, looking downright adorable. Enoh Love Neveah was chewing on her lip by then. "Actually, I was wrong...forget I said anything." Wow, even she'd fallen for the stereotype! Bad folklorist, bad! Besides, a tomboy Unicorn would be cute too! "A-anyway, Would you like to go see our house now? So you and the little one can get settled in?" Apparently, Neveah liked subject changes.
Prince shook his head, his huge ears hitting the sides of his face as he did, creating little thumping noises...which of course resulted in a further confused look that made him look as innocent as he pretended to be.
Duke squawked a bit when he was rolled into, stumbling to catch himself before he fell backwards. Blinking his big red eyes down at Tyranna, he started to giggle after she'd sneezed, then proceeded to pat the girl's pretty wavy hair. 'You're fun!' seemed to be what his gesture meant. Satin Regret Verwin nodded quickly, giving off another relieved smile. "That would be nice. I'd like that." She said, kneeling down to pick up Tyranna. Tyranna continued to giggle, even as she was picked up. Grabbing onto one of Duke's hands, and one of Prince's, as she was lifted, she held on, leaning over the elf's hands with a laugh. "Gaah!" Verwin couldn't help but laugh; she had never really had much to do with babies, but so far Tyranna was proving to be delightful. Enoh Love Prince was squealing with glee and trying to swing with Tyranna's hand, but Duke...Duke squawked again as he was pulled up onto his feet, his big ears pinned to his head in pure terror. If she let go he'd fall and it would hurt and hurt was bad and ahhh! Luckily, his Mother came to the rescue!
Laughing softly, Neveah scooped the twins up and dislodged them from Tyranna's grasp, only to set them back into the stroller. "Okay, follow me then! If you have any questions along the way just let me know, and I'll do my best to answer!" In a way Verwin would understand, anyway.
A fair jaunt later would find the unusual new family infront of a quaint side split house in Barton. The front yard was wide and spread out, with one tree a little to the left of the yard; the grass was still luscious and green, and butterflies seemed to dance and play in the flower garden along the front. Behind the house and a little to the right of the house was a guard of trees; no doubt leading to a small woodland in behind.
After showing Verwin around the house (the kitchen/dining room, living room, bathrooms, her room, Zasalamel's room in the attic, the twins' room on the upper side-split, the as of yet unfinished basement and her mini-library in one of the rooms in the as of yet unfinished basement) she showed the elf to the spare bedroom, which only had a few piles of boxes in it so far.
"This...can either be your room, or Tyranna's room, or both...its entirely up to you. You can use this room as you like, and once I finish the rest of the basement you can have that too if you'd like." Neveah paused for a moment. "Tyranna could also sleep in the same room as the twins, if you'd prefer that. Its entirely up to you!" The butterfly glanced around the guest room; it was still beige in colour, as she had left it before her year away from home. "Do you have any questions at all, Verwin?" Apparently, the woman was being very nice now...honestly happy to have another adult in the house now. Satin Regret As they approached the house, Tyranna held in Verwin's arms with Silvering floating about behind them, Frostfur having disappeared somewhere to remain inconspicous. She stared at a good deal of the household objects in confusion, appearing especially bewildered in the kitchen, but she remained attentive, fixing the locations in her memory. As they stopped in the empty room, Verwin bounced Ty in her arms, smiling fondly at her. "Well, I'll definately have many in the coming week... Especially in the kitchen." She was used to a large table, adorned with only a sharp butcher knife, and a stove in the corner. This was quite different. "Maybe Tyranna could room with the twins?" She asked hesitantly. The elf wasn't sure about the precedences for two genders of children sharing a room in this world; no one thought much of it in Azeroth, as it helped make more room for others.

September 8th Neveah's Home, guest room
An open book lying on a desk, fine written, scrawling print covering it's pages in an unknown language... -Journal- I'm not quite sure why I'm doing this. Neveah told me I should get a journal to keep track of what's been going on with Tyranna, so I did. I'm really not quite sure what to write... Well, I've been on this place called Gaia for almost a week now. I was in the mines with... No. It's best to forget what I left behind. I was in the mines, though, with a raid group from the Alliance. We got cornered in a dead end by some of the hill bandits, though what they were doing in the mine I have no idea. But they got us, and apparently they had sided with a group of the Horde, damn them... They had some fighters, as well as two rangers and a mage. That mage knew things no mage should. Somehow he tampered with the Instance in the mine, changed it's destination. Me and my raiders were shoved through, and I'm only glad that they decided to send Frostfur and Silverwing through with me...
I don't know what happened to my raiders, because they weren't there when I came to. Frostfur and Silverwing were with me though, for which I count all my blessings. I wandered with the two for a day I think... Night passed, at least, and that made the woods seem a little bit more like home, even though everything I saw was alien looking. The only thing that looked normal were the deer; the birds all looked so drab... Once it grew light again, Frostfur went into her lope again, and after a few hours we found an odd building. I heard two people arguing inside, so I snuck in, though I had a rather ungraceful landing. Something startled Frost', the baby I think. The woman, Karma, who didn't look fully human, and a fat balding man disappeared, so I followed them outside. Frost' was setting up a load racket, and baby Ty was underneath her paws. I'm so glad Silverwing grabbed her; Frostfur is enormous, she could've crushed her.
Tyranna was then kinda dumped into my arms; I'm still not quite sure how I wound up with her... Karma talked me into taking her, since I was supposedly a better guardian then the original one.
I met another guardian of some animal children later that day, Neveah, with her twin boys, and an elf child. That made me hurt for home, but the two of us had a nice conversation. He seemed shy of me, and he still acts a little nevous around me. I'm not sure why...
But Tyranna is doing well; she doesn't seem to mind being the only girl-child in a house of boys. She's very active, and apparently, very ticklish. Frostfur hasn't really warmed up to her after the first startlement, though Silverwing seems to have taken to her. Her hair gets a little longer with each day, or it seems so at least; it's certainly odd to see a baby with such long hair... I'm still not entirely sure what a unicorn is, but Karma loaned me a book describing them, as well as other creatures. She's of a rare breed, I think, and has a tiny little horn on her forehead. She'll definately be a beauty when she's older, but... Will she age like I do? Or will she age like a human, quick as a burst of flame compared to my lifetime?

September 18th Main Building, noon
UNFINISHED Satin Regret Verwin sat in the main building, slouching down in an armchair while holding baby Tyranna to her torso. Silverwing was sitting on the arm rest, his claws gripping the wood of the rest, not hard enough to marr it though. The night elf was staring idly at the ceiling, muling over the recent events. It had been almost two weeks since she had received Tyranna, and she was slowly settling in with Neveah's family, though she desperately hoped it wouldn't be a permanent arrangement. Tyranna was lying in her "mother's" arms, her tail switching back and forth against her lap, her large sapphire eyes fixed on those of the enourmous owl across from her. Kyrianna It was around Noon when Mordread managed to get away from he and Patrick's large brood of seventeen children and the noise that was taking over the house.
They were planning on moving and the house that was paid for through Patrick's trust was almost complete. This meant that both parents were working double time to help all the children get their stuff packed up and ready to go. Of course Iamel had been a great help when Dax wasn't trying to annoy him.
Which Dax often enjoyed doing.
The doors to the center were pushed open by a very tired looking feline man with black hair carrying two very cranky looking husky children. Gabriel was a little more tired than cranky looking than Leigh, however, and she looked like she was ready to bite him for not giving her attention.
She was the one who noticed Tyranna first, though, and her head moved away from her brother's attention...Much to his appriciation.
A soft wuff could be heard from her and she gave a wiggle. Playtime! Even if she was running on lack of sleep, she always had time for friends...
"Leigh...Quiet," he murmured, looking for a place to sit, "Sorry, Miss, if she interrupted." Satin Regret Verwin looked up as she heard someone else come in; he was holding two puppies, a breed she didn't recognize. Figuring they were more animal-children, she gave the man a small smile and a shake of her head. "No, that's alright." The elf said, her earings jingling softly as she spared a hand to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear; her eyes gleamed softly as she studied the man. Tyranna craned her head upside down as she heard the people. "Gaah, duggie!" She said, waving her arms; she had learned a few words, not any with any real meaning though. Kyrianna Leigh managed to slip half way down Mordread's grip and, having to hold Gabriel as well, the man couldn't drop one for the other. Thus, he bent his knees in an attempt to allow the husky girl to slide safely to the ground.
"Argh, Leigh!" Mordread snapped, attempting to straighten out Gabe who had started to slip as well.
"I think she likes your little girl." Satin Regret Verwin laughed, leaning forward to set Ty on the floor in front of her legs, shooing the large owl to stand on the back of the arm chair. "I think Tyranna likes her too." She said with another grin, reaching an arm back to absently scratch Silverwing's neck feathers. Tyranna grinned up at her mother, before turning to look at the husky girl. "Duggie?" Kyrianna "She's somehow very likeable," Mordread said in wonder, not quite sure how that worked. At least she was likeable to people other than her twin - mostly because the girl clung to Gabriel as if he were a boey and she were out at sea surrounded by many, many sharks.
While Leigh scooted her way towards the unicorn child with happy little babbles, Gabriel was safe up in his father's arms and getting a break from his sister. He was happy as a...Well, a clam would work but he didn't like clams.
"Gabriel, on the other hand, doesn't seem to feel very active today..."
Satin Regret Verin smiled, holding a hand out. She had seen other people shake hands as a way of greeting, so she thought it might be a good idea. "I'm Verwin, daughter of Rowenaria and Methalus. I can't imagine two are easy to keep up with." It was difficult enough for Verwin to keep up with one! Tyranna giggled, holding her chubby little hands forward with a grin. "Duggie!" Her little tail wiggling like mad, she scooted herself forward as the other child did as well. Kyrianna "Mordread, Son of...Uh..." Well, he didn't exactly remember his parents name, so that was a no-go. Mordread paused, searching for a way to finish that sentence without doing a complete 180, "I don't really know, actually."
One-eighty completed.
"But I have more at home so really these two are a breath of fresh air on their own."
Leigh sniffed at Tyranna curiously once the two met and nosed at her, right under her arm. What was this creature? It didn't smell like anything she encountered before! Then again, her encounters were somewhat limited to the kids in her house - but considering there were sixteen or so of them in the damn house...
"Hiiiiii."
It...was about the extent of the husky's vocabulary. Satin Regret Her eyes widened, and she patted his shoulder sympathetically. "Even one is enough for me! How many more?" Verwin asked, a small smile on her face. "I can't imagine it's easy to keep up with even one." Tyranna started giggling as she felt the wet nose under her arm; she toppled backwards, waving her arms. Again, her ticklishness kicked in. "No, no." She said; it was definately her favorite word. She scooted back, out of reach of the wet thing, and grinned at the other girl. "Ty." The unicorn jabbed her thumb on her bare chest.

September 20th Main Building, Early Noon UNFINISHED Satin Regret Verwin was sitting outside the main building, Tyranna crawling around in the grass. A thin ribbon was tied to her wrist, the end looping around Verwin's wrist in turn, to keep her from straying away. Verwin was leaning her head back against a tree trunk, Frostfur lying down nearby with her massive head resting on her paws. Silverwing was out hunting, so it was just the three of them. Tyranna was rolling around in the grass, giggling to herself in the way that only an infant can entertain themself. Toushin The sight of Toushin is one that many stopped to stare. Around his neck and on his shoulders is that strange shark creature; he had wrapped his tail around Tou's neck to hold himself there, his arms clinging around his forehead. Apparently the skin of the shark did not hurt the human; it wasn't as bad as one may have thought and he was rather used to it. It didn't leave marks and that's all that matters.
Some questioned why he didn't just put the boy into a carrier; there was none that suited him and Duras didn't like it. He chewed through and ripped them apart in his anger and frustration, and Toushin had eventually realized it was a waste of money so he let the boy do what he wanted.
It is as they pass this building that Toushin notices the unicorn girl, blinking as he stops to look. It wasn't odd to see others who were Guardians but it still surprises him when he sees others.
"Hello!" he chipes in greeting with a bright smile on his face.
Duras, meanwhile, is glaring.
Satin Regret Verwin looked up as a man approached, some sort of animal wrapped around his neck. Another Karma-child. The elf thought, raising an eyebrow. She had figured out they were all fairly animalistic, but there were so many animals in this world she didn't know. The child, the boy, looked part fish at least; beyond that, she had no idea, but if looks could kill, she'd be dead three times over in the past minute. "Hullo." She said, offering a small smile in return, to the man and the boy on his shoulders. Tyranna stopped, craning her head up to look at the tall, tall person. There was something on his shoulders! Her mouth hung open as she looked up. Her tail started wiggling as broad grin spread across her face. "Tall, tall!" Toushin Toushin smiles again then looks down to the unicorn. He hadn't seen one before so it's rather interesting to see! He kneels down in front of her, looking at her just as Duras bares his teeth even more; apparently he doesn't like the unicorn in all of her frilly prettyness.
"Duras, be nice," he warns with a faint frown before looking back to Tyranna. "Hello there." He looks briefly to Verwin. "What's her name?"
Satin Regret Verwin's smile faded at the child's apparent sourness, but when the father asked about Tyranna, it came back full force. Gently tugging on the leash and pulling Ty closer, she pulled the little girl into her lap. "Be nice and say hullo. Can you say hello?" Looking up at the man again, she grinned. "Her name is Tyranna. And I'm Verwin." Tyranna giggled as she was tugged into her mother's lap, but she started waving her arms at the tall man. "Tall!" She burbled happily.

September 24th Local Park, Noon UNFINISHED Kaze Taco The park had been a great place so far for Sierra to meet new Fourth Wallers, so she had chosen this (rather damp) day to go back there. A small picnic lunch was clasped in one of her hands while she rolled Sierra's stroller along. Sierra was sleepy, she didn't like being out in the daytime. Even her grip on her beloved Graham plushie was rather limp, but she wouldn't let it drop, oh-no. Satin Regret Verwin was walking around in the park, an odd contraption to hold a baby in strapped to her back, with Silverwing winging around above her. She couldn't bring Frostfur, she would bring too much attention, so the night elf reluctantly left the tiger behind, bringing the owl instead. Tyranna was wide awake, staring about in rapt fascination; the only places she had been before were Neveah's house and the main building where she had met Karma. So the little unicorn girl was constantly waving her little hands at things, her hair quickly becoming a mess with her constant, if limited, motions. Kaze Taco A few drafts of sunlight pierced Sierra's eyes, so she let out another one of her terrible screeches. Kaze dropped her picnic basket and put her hands over her ears as she wheeled the crying baby under a tree. After about thirty seconds (in which Kaze gathered the basket back up) Sierra quieted down, almost like her tantrum was a passing siren. "Sierra..." Kaze sighed, "I hope you didn't wake anybody up! That was quite a wail!" Satin Regret Verwin winced as a piercing shriek lit through the air, and she quickened her pace towards the source of the sound. A human looking woman was pushing something on wheels with a now quiet baby nestled inside. She couldn't get a good look at the baby, but she hoisted Tyranna on her back, giving the woman a small smile. "Quite a loud one there." She said, her accent thick. Tyranna had set up a wriggling when she heard the wail, though she wisely decided not to respond in turn; wouldn't do to roughen her precious lungs now! But she did try and look, unsuccessfuly, over Verwin's shoulders to see who she was speaking to. Kaze Taco "Oh, I'm so sorry," said Kaze, "I hope that she didn't disturb you!" Kaze was used to a wide array of people, so the Nightelf didn't surprise her at all. However, when she saw a baby on her back she slowly gulped. "That's not... a scorpion baby on your back, is it?" she wrung her fingers nervously, "I mean, I don't mean offense if it is, I just recently met one... and I don't want to scream like I did before." With a sheepish smile, Kaze picked up Sierra and stroked her feathers. She was sound asleep, her grip on Graham a lot tighter. Satin Regret Verin laughed merrily, her smile broadening."No, no, not at all." At the question though, Verwin looked over her shoulder with a look of confusion. "No, no, she's not a scorpion. She's a unicorn, I think she's called..." Tyranna bounced in her carrier, making happy burbling sounds as she realized they were paying attention to her. She wasn't quite sure what they were saying, but they were looking at her, which was all that mattered. Kaze Taco "A unicorn!" Kaze's smile widened, "Oh, I doubt I'd be able to see or touch her, then. I have two children of my own." She laughed a little bit, shaking her head. She then hummed a little song under her breath and whispered, "I'm alive..." "Good song, I'm guessing everyone's who's seen your daughter has started to sing it?" Satin Regret Verwin shrugged slightly. "Well, no one's had any problems so far." She said, sliding the carrier off her back and pulling Tyranna out. Holding her in her arms, Verwin laugh softly. "No, no one has started singing anything yet." Tyranna's ears perked as she was shifted out of the carrier and into her mother's arms, her enourmous blue eyes shifting their gaze onto the woman in the duck hat. "Ooh-nee-corn?" She asked, tilting her head backwards to look at Verwin.
