this is a setting i want to run. Roll up stats as for D&D. I will approve or disaprove of any stats generated
need 4 players for this to work. would like to have 2 packs of 7-9
stats used STR DEX CON SRT WIS INT CHA
SRT is spirit, it is basically how fierce and determined you are. It is going to be an important stat.
Classes. starting feats are prechosen (all classes choose get 2+INT mod skill points per lvl. this is quadrupled at lvl 1, skills arent yet linked to stats)
Alpha- you are the current top wolf. (only one allowed, 1st one to be approved for it gets it) HD D10 init bonus +2 Attacks: 2 claws and bite, lunge (commas indicate seperate attacks) skills: tracking, leadership, spot, scent, lick wounds, complex thoughts feat: leadership (may roll a check to control the NPC members of the pack at a +5 bonus once per day)
Warrior- you are tough as nails but arent the best tracker (max 2 to a pack) HD: D12 init bonus +1 attacks:lunge, 2 claws and bite, 4 claws skills: camoflage, spot, lick wounds, scent, leadership feat: Claw mastery (+1 damage for all claw attacks and other attacks which primarilly use the claws TDB)
Hunter- you are a hunter, fast but not as tough as others (no limit) HD: D8 init bonus +4 attacks 2 claws, bite, lunge Skills: track, camoflage, run, scent, complex thoughts, hunting Feat: hunting (you may roll 3 hunting checks at +1 per day)
Elder- you are in touch with all around your but are growing frail with you many seasons (max one per pack) HD: d6 Init bonus +0 attacks: may cast spells (as per druid using SRT), bite, 2 claws feat: wild sense (never caught flat footed always gets dex bonus, rerolls on all perception rolls ie spot, smell, listen and others TBD) penalty: -1 to str and con
other classes (and possably wolf types) coming soon
if you have suggestions post or PM me.

Hmm...this sounds vaguely interesting. Let's see where this goes...
11 15 14 17 10 12 16
Not a bad set of stats.
As my wolf is going to be female, I'll not apply for alpha, as I doubt wolves would follow a female.
So for the moment I'll go for the hunter class, though I may ask to change if I see another class I prefer. I'd like to be an Arctic Wolf, though if that isn't an option that's okay.
STR: 12 (+1) DEX: 17 (+3) CON: 11 (0) SRT: 16 (+3) WIS: 10 (0) INT: 14 (+2) CHA: 15 (+2)
HP: 8 if max at 1st level.
Init bonus +7 (+3 stat, +4 class) Skill Points (16): Complex thoughts 4, hunting 3, scent 2, camoflague 3, tracking 2, run 2.
So, any good?

Tail- Weakest member of the pack. Eats last, and therefore less. used as a scout/bait when the pack travels, to lure danger away from the rest of the pack, and warn them of enemies. HD D6 init bonus -1 Attacks: 2 claws, bite, trip skills: Move silently, hide, bluff, lick wounds, steal, run. feat: Escape Notice (+2 to hide, Move silently, and steal) (Natural -1 to STR, CON, and CHA. +1 to DEX and INT.)
sound good? If so, here's my stats, with the mods and everything.
STR:11+0 DEX:15+3 CON:10+0 SRT:13+2 WIS:15+3 INT:16+3 CHA:12+1 HP: 5 skill points: 20

Heh, your tail is smarter and wiser than my hunter. Cool.
An arctic wolf's stat fiddling? Hmmm, I'm not sure. Possibly a bonus to charisma (Arctic wolves are the most recognizable, I think), a penalty to dexterity and maybe a second bonus to either strength or constitution (to represent the increased size).

Arctic wolf stat changes: +1 cha, -3 dex +1 con, +1 srt abilities: +5 on cold resist penalty: -10 on over heat checks good enough?

Ouch, that gives me a dex of just 14, not quite what I was aiming for as a hunter...plus giving me more negative on the penalties that the ability is a bit unusual. Hmm... How about this? Stat changes: +1 cha, -2 dex, +2 con Abilities: + 5 on cold resist Penalty: -10 on overheating checks This balances the extra -5 on overheating with an additional +1 in my stats.
More even? Or do we need to go somewhere in the middle of the two?
