I like it because it's finally a place I can present thoughts without people labeling me! I dislike it because through words its often very hard to convey some ideas, emotions, and expressions.

I love the opening of minds and hearts without the opening of disdain and discouragement you would find in the real world
I hate the fact that only half the people who told me they wanted to join have actually done so...the long list of members that was on the forum every single one of those people got an invite but we only have something like 15 members...

I like it because, where all in the same fram of mind, so it's easer to discuss things with philosophers that pther people just do appreiate nor understand. I hate it because, no-bodys ever on when I am, so I can't debate with anyone. but the guild is still young to maybe more people will join therefore more people on. I need to just give it some time.

Noone is on when I'm on either. But that's because most people are probably in school when I'm on. Oh, the joy of internet classes. I'm on M-F 9am-3pm PST. Obviously I'm not on this site that whole time. But I can be during that time.

I like that there is a guild where intelligent discussion is the normal and that there are people here willing to indulge in the enjoyment of their minds.
I dislike (I don't hate) that the guild is still new and growing.

I like the fact that I have finally found an outlet for philosophical discussion.
I dislike how the title of the guild is grammatically incorrect. It should read "Philosophers Anonymous". The apostrophe currently there implies that some Philosopher owns something called an "anonymous". Seeing as this is not the case, I hope it is correctly promptly.

I enjoy spending time with other open-minded individuals, bent on sharing ideals and perhaps their own experiences with enlightenment.....good conversastion can warm even the coldest of nights...
I dislike (not hate) that even those who enjoy philosophy and talking about it, tend to still be, closed minded. When in a heated debate, it is not necessary to "chew up and spit out," your debatee. That's cruel and closed minded, instead, people should say, "I understand your point, but......." but unfortunantly...that rarely ever happens....

hetan please mine are i like it becuase it makes me think i also hate it because it makes me think And we are the open minded? I will make you think more twisted How come we can only name one thing we like or dislike? Why do we have to make such distinctions? What if we dislike nothing, or like nothing? How can we know if we really like or dislike something, until we understand all sides of the thing thouroughly? And I doubt many of us could say that we know all sides of this guild (no matter how small) already. Then again, if we are speaking without abstraction, likes and dislikes are easy. I like to confuse and make other people think, while having others provoke thoughts in myself; I really don't dislike anything about the guild, as I haven't really been in it enough to find something that irritates me. Maybe now I will be one of the things that everyone dislikes about this guild. blaugh

I like Cirendia and her answer. smile
Well, I agree with most. I like that I can discuss and learn here.
What I don't like..well, that's a hard one. Well, I'm not as active in discussions as I would like to be.

I love the fact that people here are either as intelligent or more intelligent than I am. I always thought of myself as intelligent and highly philosophical (aristocratic, I know), and it's wonderful to have a group of people capable of enlightening me.
I dislike the fact that the guild is not very active: I'd love to have some discussion, but most of my recent psts simply rot with no reply. I wish more people would join.
I think we need some way of finding philosophers and bringing them here without the clutter of unintelligent people.
