Well, it's mainly just these four guys, but they do enough to account for everyone. XD
Today, for instance, three of them each brought a fake (obviously) light sabre and had sword fights in the the halls during lunch (one of the baritones joined in too). Then later that day they decided to play Power Rangers instead. rofl
It's amazing what boredom will do to you. ;^_^
Does anyone else have a group of people in the band like this?
Edit: I felt this deserved it's own topic because I'll be posting more stories as band camp continues. Also, I wasn't exactly sure which sub-forum this was best suited for. sweatdrop

I don't know, I'd say the entire band is pretty much like that.
Especially the tubas, drumline and saxes.

XD our trumpet section is hilarious, too.
every five seconds at band camp this boy justin would be like "SHUT UP, CHOWDAHEADS!" for no reason.
and our pre-game/competition/what have you "prayer" goes like this:
one person : 1-2-3-4-5- everyone joins in: 666!
rape, kill, pillage and burn, rapekillpillageandburn, EAT BABIES. *repeat once, put hands in middle* gooooooooooooooooo DUCKS!
hahaha i love my section. whee
we're getting shirts that have bamf and rkp&b on the sleeves, and on the front it's going to say "trumpet line 2006" with a profile of a girl, and on the back "we make'em scream". teehee.

Ok so my section has had a few smart mouths in it since my freshmen year. Well, this year there are 17 of us trumpets and probably 12 or 13 of us are smart asses... makes for some interesting sectionals, I'll tell ya, I pity the section leader! ... Oh wait! That's me! Heh, and I can be a smart a** too. whee

Ah. I love trumpeters. They are my main form of entertainment at B-ball games.
Our Concert trumpets are rathar vulgar, but they are gorgeous, so it makes up for it...

In my band at school(It's so small about 13 people) there are 3-4 baby trumpeters, and me, so, ther eis me (playing badly I may add) and 3 wanabe trumpeters who can't play higher that an G without going red, and they suk so bad! They play out of tune, off key, it's horrible, me and the euphoniumist are cringing as they attempy to play; one of them has been playing longe than me!
but t's fun in band, if I am not playing a part of can't/can't be bothered to play, I make Rachel (Euphoniumist) and Rowan (bassoonist) laugh by staring at them coz Rowan looks like an ae wen she plays and Rachel's nostrils flare and her eyebrows twitch, good fun...

Our trumpet section does the wave. 3nodding It's awesome, and hilarious. It'll be like:
Trumpets: *exchange glances and do the wave when the BD's not looking*
Trombones: *join in when it gets to them*
Trumpeter: *whispers* Send it back!
Trombones + Trumpets: *half-hearted wave*
Flutes: *watch and laugh*
BD: Guys, cut it out!
Flutes: *attempt a wave of their own, but only get, like, three people to do it, while the BD's yelling at the trumpets*
It's funny. whee
Not only that, but a few trumpets in my section (since I play trumpet) like to blow quietly into their instruments (as in, actual playing, but like low notes or something) while the BD's working with another section. Sometimes, the BD thinks the section's messed up 'cause a trumpet plays a note badly, and he makes the other section redo the part. wink

My trumpet section is just funny in general, and everyone actually likes them (unlike the stereotype). I'm so glad I'm in that section. If i ever go to band camp i will tell stories, but the most im going to so far is a running camp (when it comes to non-musical things, i'm situtations can get close to band camp ones, runners are just as crazy ^^)

umm....not really but these dorkey trombone players
like play yugio...( can't spell) and like one time the clarinets like kept laughing ( that's me) and this one guy was like " just cuz you don't like yugio dosn't mean u should make fun of it"
