Ryu looked at her and smiled. "I sure can. Could you show me what you already know? If you dont know anything, thats ok. I just need to know where to start you off."

A tall slender figure with long raven black hair entered the dojo, a katana strapped to the womanly figure's back. Pure black eyes scanning the area for anyone whom would resemble a position of head, leader, or master of the dojo.
She spotted a man and was locked onto him as she walked in quietly and up behind him.
"Ryu-Sama, I have heard of you. I am Nete Kinai from the lands of Makondy and I would like to assist you in the teachings of fire with your pupils. I am very skilled in the ways of fire and have even created some of my own techniques. I would be honored to help you."
She spoke properly and well mannered, though she spoke in a cold monotone voice. She sounded much older than she looks, and looks younger than she acts.
She brushed her hand against her black ruffled skirt and looked back up at him.
"Also, I can teach them the true meaning to dealing with the arts of fire."
A slight devilish smirk crossed her face. She knew that learning the art of fire wasn't an easy task. It needed to be brought out to the pupils who wished to learn it brutally. Brutal honesty was deffinately what she was good at. She never censored anything from her recent pupils.
"So... how about it?"

Aslinda enters the dojo just in time to over hear what Nete Kinai had said. Aslinda was quick to see the darkness that clouded the womans soul. To Aslinda this woman might be a kin of sort but as far as Aslinda was concerned she was too dark to trust with pure mind of students. "Master Ryu if I may entervien, I think perhapse I would also like to teach the art of fire or assist Nete Kinai with teaching." Aslinda says to Ryu wwhile hoping she hadn't offended Nete Kinai.

Aslinda again glances at Nete Kinai then says, "I mean no offense to Lady Nete Kinai but I doubt she may have the patience to deal with students. But perhapse you would perfer to test our fire skills to decide who should be given the teaching position? It would be the fairest way to decide."

--{@ Sorry I haven't been posting but I was grounded and still am. I'm not even supposed to be on but I didn't want to leave people in the dust with guild stuff and RPs if you know what I'm saying. whee @}--
Nete eyes quickly glanced over at this new woman and she held her rude comments back, although she didn't agree with what this woman had assumed, it wasn't her choice of who became leader so she just decided to shut up and cooperate for once. But first she had to put something into the conversation.
"Do as you wish master Ryu-Sama. Though I would like to point out that the patients of a person cannot be determined just by their looks."
She looked over towards the girl in a casual way, not wanting to say anything more.
This girl seems to underestimate people just from one meeting apparently. Also it doesn't quite look as if she knows the true meaning for the use of fire. She's too...
Her thoughts trailed off and she looked back up towards master Ryu-Sama.
"I am ready when you are."
She took up the offer greatfully and was prepared for anything. No matter what the task, she would do it.

"Al right. Both parties have agreed. This will be a three part test. I need to make sure that the sucessor is worthy." He looked at them both. "The first test is just basic knowledge. I need you to tell me all you know of fire, whatever it may be. This isnt the time to show me what you can do, but tell me of what you know about the element."

Aslinda smiles slightly at Nete. Aslinda could tell by what Nete had said that Aslinda had offended her. Aslinda says to Nete, "I appologize Lady Nete, if I have offended you." Aslinda then bows to Nete, "I have a bad habit of judging others in the first meeting. Though most times my judgment is right it is not always so."
Aslinda the turns back to Ryu and says, "Master Ryu, fire is a unique element because it has positive and negative forces. Fire can be used to heal and hurt. For many people they see fire as just a source of heat but for those who know its true power it is much more. Fire can be used in ninjutsu as well as elemental magics. It is an element that rules over emmotions of passion and rules over a part of nature. It can burn even the greatest defense yet cure the most painful injuries. Fire is a dragons closest friend and greatest enemy."
Aslinda then pauses for a moment to look at both Ryu and Nete. "For me fire is the force that guides my actions and choices. Fire burns inside of me always. And only when I move from this world will that fire die."

Nete smirks at Aslinda. It was her way of forgiving since she really wasn't always nice and bubbly. She was mostly straight to the point and proper but that's about it.
She crossed her arms justly and looked towards the ground.
"Fire is one of the four main elements. It has a weakness, and an advantage over some. It has it's defense, and it's offense. Though most would only think it's used for offense and destruction, they are wrong. Fire is actually a well balanced element, but sometimes it can often turn on the user if used wrongly or underestimated. It is also one of the hardest elements to control because much like wind, it is uncontrolable and seems to have a mind of it's own. True, it is a unique element because it has positive and negative forces, but all elements are unique in their own way and all elements have positive and negative forces. One thing you need to understand about fire, is that it is much the same as any element, but very different in other ways. You must first learn what it is to control any of the elements before thinking of the meaning. The element of fire is not all about causing mass meham and destruction. It is about focusing on your chi, and projecting it in a more extensive way. The element of fire is what teaches you, not the instructor, but having the right instructor will give the student a knowledge for what the power of fire will, and can do to you. All of the elements are different from eachother, only by what they do to you in return for controling them. That is why all elements are seperate from eachother, because of what each one does to you. Like darkness can twist your mind and soul, while light will sometimes blind you if you go down the wrong path. Fire, will burn in your soul for all eternity, giving you life, yet taking it away at the same time. Which is why you do not only need to befriend it, but you will also need to confront it in order to fully understand what it is like to take on such a task as fire. Like the old saying goes. Don't play with fire."
She frowned and lifted her head to master Ryu sama. A serious look in her eye.
"I was not given the choice of living a normal life or living with fire burning me away deep inside. Fire chose me, and I accepted my fate, and my future. For me, fire can be a burden, and at times a gift. I was born with the ability to naturally control fire and something else. But it has no authority here."
She spoke the last sentence in a cold tone and looked away at Aslinda again. She looked into her eyes and read them. She did this often and sometimes creeped people out.

"Hmm, very good both of you." He typed some information into his guantlet. "Now, i need you to show me somethin unique that you can do with fire. This can be anything from making something from it or telling a story with it." He then sighed. "By the way, you both had convincing points in your statements, but both forgot to mention that fire represents the user's spirit. The stronger the spirit, the brighter the fire will burn."
