dragon prince and star scroll trilogys by melanie rawn
My brother got me those. They were pretty good. I really enjoyed how the series goes over all those generations.
Urendell, which series hadn't you heard of? I kinda mentioned a lot of them..
sweatdrop ummm.... both of the ones you mentioned that weren't the lord of the rings
whee Hmm... The Pern series is also known as the Dragonriders series it's pretty massive. I tend to call it the Pern series because that's the name of the world it takes place on and I also like the Harpers, which are like bards, more than the dragonriders. Anne MacCaffery is the author. ^^
The Xanth series is a fantasy spoof series by Piers Anthony. It takes place on a magical realm called Xanth which is like a parallel Florida. It's pretty wide, but again there's LOTS of books in the series.
David Eddings' is another author I mentioned, his books are basically quest stories with a lot of epic wars and such. The two series are connected to each other, having a lot the same characters and taking place on the same world. There are two follow up books,
Belgarath the Sorcerer and
Polgara (I think that last ones right, it might be
Polgara the Sorceress...) He actually has four series out there, including the Ellenium and the Tamuli, which have only three books each. But they take place on a different world.
Last I mentioned the deryni series by Katherine Kurtz. That is about a group of people called deryni who have magic/psychic powers set in a world that's a lot like medieval Wales. there's a lot of conflict with the church because there are those who think the deryni powers are from the devil, so a lot of people keep their heritage secret.
You could probably find more info on a web search enjine as I'm not very good with descriptions.
