Report Thread

This thread is for reporting incidents, both good and bad:

- Judge call requests go here. Include a link and explaination.
- All Critical Damage Rolls made need to be noted here. Include a link.
- Objective Completion will be marked here, along with the participants.

All this is for a few reasons... the judge calls should be obvious. The others are for documentation and recordkeeping purposes so that we can more easily keep track of player activity and points.

Link.

I have a problem with Impacts response to my shot. He is saying that the bullet flew through the doors, which I did not fire from. I fired from the front, so what he is saying is that I don't know the lay out of a vehicle and suddenly am to the direct left or right of the jeep and I am not. I am/was behind Elevar meaning he was looking at us from the front and I took a shot at where the engine would be, this is assuming that I know how a vehicle works (and I do) and because someone is driving the car from the front, that means the engine is in the front. Where again... is where I made my shot from.

Sol, Jak, we were driving that thing across the plane in a different dimension. We were not driving straight through, what we were doing was pressing grass down so from the direction you came in from it would be the flank of the jeep you would strike. Then there's the face that the jeeps body is hidden by the grass and you're shooting in the dark.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 11, 2006 3:18 pm

First off, it isn't dark and I had misunderstood the placement of your line with the jeep, I thought you were doing it in a different fashion. Also, we should remember that I would still be able to know where the front of the damnable car is. And unless I am mistaken you were besides it, meaning the bullet would most likely injure you as well.

Jak
The grass about him was, tall but at his height he towered over it by a good foot or so. So this shot would indeed be a simple one, all he had to do was pull the trigger. Looking in on the front of the jeep in question, he placed the reticle of his rifle down range on it.

There's no indication that the jeep was 'pointed at you'.

As for the aim... we don't have a specified distance on your shot, but we know that it's a pretty decent bit, eh?

Quote:
TheMightyJello: If he's trying to fire over the grass, he'd never make it due to the kick, standing straight up like that. If he's firing in the grass, that's 600m of passive resistance ot ******** up his aim.

thethreegifts: Hence why he didn't hit what he was aiming at.
cruelthesis89: He's firing over the grass...recoil kicks in, but he doesn't play it out

thethreegifts: He still has to fire down into the grass.

Either you're holding the gun up at about neck level and trying to fire a .75 round off from it with accuracy.

OR

You're firing a shot through at least 100m of tall grass that provides constant passive resistance and FUBARs the aim.

Get a little closer, or don't try and shoot through an impediment? I think this one is pretty clear cut in the case of simple accuracy. The shot diverted a few feet to the side from where it was intended. That's like 1 degree in aim. Not so far fetched.

Shouyin
That being me.

You came at me with a chainsaw, in tall grass, at a run.
I judge you guilty of your claim.

That is all.

As for the issue going on with you people, it would mainly depend on where the Fuel Depot (Miner Groups Origin) and the Fields are (Settler Group). Far as I know the Fuel depot is to the north and the Miners are moving South-East.

Which would put the Miners at a North-Western angle to the Settlers.

If I'm right with this tracking, it would be a shot at the front of the jeep. Of course Jak needs to better specify where he is in the area while sniping.

Beyond that your call, your jeep, if it becomes a bigger problem contact me? And if someone has a BASIC MAP please gimme it?

IGNORE EVERYTHING I SAID AND PAY ATTENTION TO JOSH.
HE KNOWS IT.

I'm a capturing, and fortifying the Jagged Cliffs. So whoever needs to send over NPCs, well, it'd be a appreciated.

Not sure where else to call attention to things like area dominance.

Okay guys...... I had to leave for a few hours due to family stuff.....

What has happened without me? gonk Is there any possible way I can still jump into the action? Or should I just wait for another main event to happen before I post with Raven again?

Just pick up where you left off, and look for something to jump into.

I am online now for a while, in case any judging is needed. I am half asleep, but I'll do my best...for as long as I can.

I find it unlikely such situation will arise and need attention again, but for futher use to prevent the bothering so of other judges, I impart this verdict on the situation of Quintilius de Signuer:

For all future situations, Quintilius may not drain heat from other living beings or 'impart the chill of the Winds' on them, due to lack of clarity and potential for misuse. He may only draw heat which is taken away for his magics from himself. If he gains heat through nonmagical means or another's magical intervention, such as being near/in flames or touching against a very warm object, this would raise his body heat, as is naturally apparant, and in doing so provide him some level of heat with which to fuel his abilities. If they would burn or harm him in imparting said heat, they still do so.

There's been a lot of this I've noticed; but people forgeting to both an enterance post and an exit post and just skipping threads entirely to travel. What's the reasoning?

Also can we get a little respect for the NPCs? Seriously now.

While we are in objective mode, I expect everyone to be making entrance and exit posts while they travel.

I generally support the idea of respecting the NPCs. Though note that unless the NPCs outnumber the PCs, PCs should be able to take them down (though not without receiving some injury.)
