The Amphitheatre is a massive, vaulted building constructed of crystal, metal and alabaster stone. The entire thing is shaped similarily to a conch shell, and in the twisting spiral of metal and crystal that vaults off one side of the building, the sound from the stage is ampliied and reverberated until it's echoes and vibrations can be heard all through the surrounding Blue District. Beyond the base of the stage, and to the side of the many plush and comfortable audience seats are the pools. The long and deep pools are a delight to Aquatic Empyrean from all across the city, and are used for Professor Orrys' swimming classes. The rippling waters in varying temperatures and the sauna and steam rooms along the far wall are excellent for the health, and a great way to relax. Professora Nehna gives her classes here, and says that if anything the soothing lap of the pools exemplifies the music sung and played by the children. They are welcome to learn any of the orchestra instruments available on stage, and are certainly encouraged to sing.

Concert to be held this Week!

~The Concert~
The Concert: Nehna Performs at the Amphitheater!!
The Event:
This event will be held in the main guild in the Amphitheater. As this event happens in-character, only those with an Empyrean may RP during this event. However, none Empyreans are certainly welcome to come and watch the event and to chat as long as you keep your posting in some form of double brackets, ((Such)) {{as}} [[these]].
Since I want Grave to attend the concert as well, I'm going to ask my good friend Ahd.ar.ohk to relegate the event for me. So he'll be in charge of all the "official" posting.
The Details:
Let me say this now: all active participants will receive a Nehna Plushie for posting, chatting and attempting for prizes.
There will be five Challenges in the event. Challenges 2, 3 and 4 will be open to both Empyrean owners and non-players. Challenges 1 and 5 will be Empyrean owner accesible only.
Please Read the requirements for each challenge very carefully. There may be hints to winning, specific formats you must follow to qualify and of course the specifics for what I'm looking for.
What Sorts of Challenges?:
I hate it when events are based entirely on luck, because I personally have atrocious luck, and never win anything. I like there to be all sorts of events so that everyone has an opportunity to win.
There will be one Challenge based on Trivia.
There will be one Challenge based on Speed Image finding.
There will be one Challenge based on Quality Image Finding.
There will be one Challenge based on Dice Rolls.
There will be one Challenge based on Active Role Play participation.

Amelia wandered into the Amphitheatre, looking up with a glimmer in her eyes, amazed at the building itself. She hadn't been able to visit this place yet, but now that she was here, she felt a shiver run up and down her spine. It was beautiful. Somehow, this place spoke to her...
Walking past one of the deep pools, she was temped to lean down and skim the top of the water with her fingers, but she hesitated. Instead, she looked up, hoping that she'd see other students filing into the grand room.
She'd been told that there would be a concert held there today, and she showed up slightly early in order to get a good seat. She looked around for anyone she knew, hoping she'd catch a glimpse of Grave, or perhaps even Mathiaz. She felt like she'd been particularly anti-social as of late, but was now craving some sort of sociability.

Announcement!
~School PA~
Good afternoon, Empyreans!!
As you may have heard before, our own Professora Nehna will be holding a concert today in the White District Amphitheater. Tickets for School students are free, and they will have first choice of the seats in the Amphitheater should they wish to attend.
We are just in the last moments of preparation of the stage, so please make your way into the Amphitheater and settle yourself for the performance.
Drinks will be permitted, but loud crunching snacks will be restricted to after the show.

The giant doors to the Amphitheater leading into the school were for once, wide open. The vaulted glass, crystal and glass were glimmering in the failing light of afternoon. The sunset would be on cue with the performance, and the houselights would come up to keep the building well-lighted while Nehna sang.
Already the older students were filing up and down the spiralling stairs, looking for empty seats enough to contain they and their pletheras of friends.
Down on the stage, a stage hand adjusted props, while the orchestra warmed itself up in the pit with a cacophany of singularily beautiful sounds.
Soon, Nehna herself would appear on the stage, and regail them with music enough to make them weep. The olderstudents had seen it before, they were chattering excitedly. They couldn't wait.

Grave moved into the Amphitheater, his eyes riveted on the tiered boxes falling away up into a sky hung with crystal and glass. The patterns of light on water flickered over evereything, filling the entire room with mystery and light. He felt so very small, so very overwhelmed. It was not just the concert soon to start, it was also the events of the day. Grave looked about hurriedly for a seat. In the sea of milling faces, he searched vainly for someone he might recognize.

Amelia heard the announcement, and students began to file into the room, filling it up quickly. She took a seat on the nearest couch--one that happened to be relatively close to the stage, and turned around to see just who she'd been looking for. Grave.
Waving, she piped up, shouting above the din of the crowd. "Grave!" She waved at him, hoping to get his attention. "Come sit by me!"

Grave heard his name called out across the din. His clear eyes narrowed as he began scanning faces for the source of the summons. With his narrowed eyes scanning the sea of students, and his posture erect and stock still in the midst of the milling chaos, he looked unearthly, and a bit intimidating. But when he caught sight of Amelia, his features softened into a warm smile and he began the pushing and dodging mode of transport through the growing crowd.
Grave pulled himself onto the couch next to Amelia and let out a long breath. "I'm glad you spotted me, Amelia. I wouldn't have been able to find you in all this by myself." Grave offered a smile and settled himself in comfort next to his Phlegmatic schoolmate. "Have you been enjoying your free time thus far?" Grave asked her, trying not to shout, but wanting to be heard.

His warm smile brightened her spirits further. She was glad to see him. It felt like it had been ages, when in fact, it was only a couple of days. Settling down into the couch, she gave him a pat on the knee.
"Free time has been pleasant, although I'm thinking I've had far too much free time." She paused. "How've you been? What have you been up to? It seems like it's been ages since we've seen each other. Did you meet the other professors?"

Grave smiled and bent his head in towards her, so as to better hear her many questions.
"I've had a great deal of fun with my free time too, but I'm anxious to get back to class. I met a girl in the Teacher's Lounge, so I didn't spend too much time there, actually. I did however, meet Bellona. Oh, Amelia, you should have been there! Wait 'til you see her...she's.....Ethereal." Grave smiled and remembered the dark Professora's penetrating glances and felt a delicious shiver of anticipation run up his spine. He gave a soft laugh and and squeezed Amelia's hand. "It is so good to see you again. It really does feel like it has been far too long."

Amelia leaned in a bit too, and from afar, the pair looked as if they were deep in conversation. "What girl is this you met? I've only met a few other Zero Level girls. They were all more or less nice. I suppose I haven't been as social as I should be. I find it too easy to hole up in my room." She gave him a shy grin. "We should hang out again sometime--you know, outside of class..."
She paused, and listened intently as he described Bellona. Again, she had a shiver. Just the way he spoke of her left an impression on her mind. "Ethereal?" Her voice was whispered. "She must be magnificent!" He must have been especially impressed, because she felt him squeeze her hand. She flushed, her cheeks bluing slightly, and she returned his squeeze. "It does, doesn't it? I've missed seeing you," she admitted, looking down to hide her embarassment.

Grave nodded and drew to mind an image of Arwen. He smiled. "Yes, her name was Arwen. She's a Melancholy, like me, and loves the library about as much as I do." Grave chuckled. Grave watched curiously as Amelia's cheeks coloured and she dropped her face from him. Grave leaned in to try to peer in her face. Was she upset? Had he done or said something wrong? Fretting, Grave placed a forefinger beneath her chin and tried to tilt her face back up so he could see her expression. "We should hang out again soon. I would love to show you the art galleries in the Library. I think you would be able to appreciate them." Grave confessed, banishing memories of Mathiaz from his mind.

As he tilted her head upward, she grew even more embarassed, her cheeks now a darker blue. She hadn't meant to upset him--she was just feeling painfully shy at this very moment, and she had a strange buttefly feeling in her stomach. "
She giggled to break the slight bit of tension that she'd felt forming as he began to worry about her. "Yes, the galleries sound lovely. I do love beautiful art." She smiled. "I'd like to see this amazing Library too. I haven't been there yet. But I did take a trip to the gardens by myself. They were lovely--perhaps I might take up gardening at some point." She chuckled to herself, realizing that this was probably a ridiculous thought. She could take care of her cicus cat, Indira, but she wasn't so sure about a plant. She might not have a green thumb. Hers in fact, were blue.
