Has anyone read Wicked or watched the musical. If you watched the music tell us where you watched, and tell about it in general.

R!nalda Read the book That author has problems. It was WAY to explicit for me. i haven't read it, because of the sex (friends told me) want to watch the musical though how come you think it was too explicit? (i agree)

I've never read the book, or seen the musical, but i'm a fan anyways. The musical sounds like fun to watch! i have some of the songs on my ipod (thanks to my friend, who owns the ACTUAL soundtrack!). I'm, like, in love with it!

I read the book, and I agree, it could do without all the sex, but it was a great book. It was incredibly interesting and imaginative. I loved how Maguire made Oz more realistic and complicated; not all pretty meadows and smiling people. I haven't seen the musical, but I have the soundtrack. I really want to see it, but it's not playing near me anymore. =/

fReAKy PnAy If there's alot of sex in the book, there's alot of sex in the play also? I'm lucky that im not watching the play. sweatdrop I wasn't fond of the book, but I would like to see the musical. Apparently a lot has been changed and its generally more upbeat. smile

I've seen the book many times and thought to myself "I should pick that book up...it seems so popular..." but never did. I never really liked the Wizard of Oz so because of that I didn't want to read it-even if it was from the Wicked Witch's perspective. Nor have I ever wanted to see the musical, but if it has as much sex in it as what people are posting on here then I'll definitly pass. I want a story, not a porno.

Nope no sex in the musical.
I tried to book and found it boring. Never finished it.
BUT the musical is AMAZING. I drove to Chicago to go see it and it's coming to my area in December and I plan on seeing it again.

i watched the musical. it was awesome. best musical i ever saw. and i tried reading the book but the font was too small and i got too dizzy. not to mention that i saw the musical before the book so it sort of spoiled it. i felt like i was waiting.
