Could it be truely so out there for someone to be destined for something...?

Not just a something like "You will do this in life and that is how it will be." I mean something great, something on such a level it might be called fantasy.

The thread on the veil really got me wondering, if some of us in this world are apart of a grand plan as I have really thought all my life, something so grand to change the way we all think. Pardon me if I sound a bit odd, but im just putting out there what I think to be true, or possible.

Lets get down to business, my family you might say is a bit spiritual. Well, alot spiritual, but refuses to see it. I on the other hand love the fact we're not so normal.

My whole life i've always felt I was meant for something great, now it's either true or I am an immature child stuck with this mindset that fantasy can be reality.

When I was... I dunno two years of age, I was prancing around in my back yard for what reason I do not know. I looked out into the woods and I saw the most terrifying thing I could see at my age. I saw the distinct figure of a large black dog sitting up staring directly at me, with piercing red eyes. I ran, I ran as fast as I could at that age. I never really knew weather or not this was a childhood dream or something true. I asked my mom and she confirmed that I had come into the house bawling and babbling about a big black dog.

It wasn't a normal "OMG STRAY DOG!". It was a large dog, it had red eyes for ******** sake. Not many dogs have red eyes as far as I know. Esspecially in urban areas.

Push it up about eight years, and I was ten. I'd say about two weeks before the whole deal with 9/11. I had this re-occuring dream.

The dream involved me standing in a group of people screaming, and banging on some door, I want to say an elevator door. Next thing I know I see this face pop up out of the crowd, The face of an arabian man, a long beard, and a turban on. Now at this age I didn't have a clue as to who osama bin laden was.

So the dream continued, after I saw the face I ran down some stairs, looked up over my shoulders and noticed a fireman running along side me. Then a beam came crashing down upon him. That is where it ended, I had that dream twice about two weeks before 9/11. When it finally happened, the big terrorist attack, I realized what the dream was about.

So a couple of weeks ago my mom had this whole cookout deal over at my apartment and we invited my aunt and my uncle, So it was my mothers brother and sister over there.

We had great fun blah blah, now it's around 1am and my uncle is so ******** drunk and starts demanding to know something about the night in Rio something or other. He claimed that he remembered nothing, he just didn't know what happened.

I'm sitting there all confused like... What in the hell are they talking about. confused

So of course he gets the whole story, he's drunk trying to act all dramatic and demands every little detail, im talking like... "Where was my hand at?!" details.

I would go into details but it's a rather long story. If you want to know the details PM me. But long story short, my uncle got posessed by a demon, no joke, be a skeptic but I know the truth.

So all that got me really thinking, maybe I am meant to do something, or maybe I am taking a couple paranormal experiances too seriously.

Anyone have any comments?

EDIT: I also have had tarot readings that give me claims that I am destined to do something...

I guess I should add. My family has a Demon in it. It refuses to leave us. It says it's here to rid of my family or torment it. Either way, that adds to my thoughts on this destiny stuff. 3nodding

Destiny is often bestoed on those from all walks of life, and it has the power to transform lives. If you are indeed chosen by destiny, then you will lead a life that contains many trials, and many triumphs. Don't get your hopes up, though. What seems like signs could be nothing, and out of the blue destiny may strike him unprepared. But I have one important piece of advice:

Don't wish for destiny. Destiny hurts. Destiny destroys. Destiny rips from the hero everything that can bring him joy, everything full of meaning in his life in the name of a "great" deed... it is a tiring, depressing, scary thing, and I would pray that you do not have such a destiny, so that you may instead be happy.

I would rather lead an exciting destined life rather than this normal 9 to 5 jobs life. I really don't see myself doing such.

Hmmm, I believe in fate/destiny/whatever to a certain point... but damn sometimes the idea can so totally suck a**. It's like... hmmm, fate? Cool... then another day... Aw hell, whatever I do won't matter 'cause of fate controling everything. That sucks.
Interesting concept, I believe it to a point... but just don't spend too much time thinking about it, eh? sweatdrop

Agreed.. Nothing can ruin a destiny like focusing on it.

Destiny is an excuse.

Though the powers that be may give you hints and ideals on what path they want you to take and what they want you to do, "destiny" is a myth. I believe in choices, people, opinions, not a set path for everyone.

Hmm, I can go with that. But tell me, what path would they be asking me/ my family to take with such things I listed.

I can understand where you come from. There was an interesting scenario revealed to me a little while back. I really don't focus on it, and I simply move on with my life. If it's really my fate, then it will happen. I'm not anticipating things either way. Of course, it doesn't help that I don't know much about it (some of my friends do, though).

hmm... something like this really is hard to tell. the only advice i can give you is to do what you think you should. if you have some predetermined destiny, you will most likely find it no mater what. but if it is one of those destinies where you must make the choice to have it, i'm not sure if anyone can really help you figure it out. > < destiny is one of those anoying "maybe, maybe not" things. like chance.
