Because I can. >D
Anyway, here's my movie review. You can agree or disagree with it -- just no flame wars.
Anyway I'll start.
Napoleon Dynamite - I liked it. It was very simple and it wasn't flashy. It also had a real feel to it. Maybe it's just me, but I can relate to Napoleon at times. I also liked the comedy, however crude it may be, it was still funny. Among the uptight, it's considered a cult movie. I don't know how exactly since there are far more obvious cult form of media out there...Oh well. XD I still love it. <3

Hide and Seek: 3 words: HOLY s**t FREAKY!
Awesome movie, though. If you're not scared of gore, death and weird random things happening.

Sin City: By far the best movie I've seen this year. It's an accurate portrayal of the original comic books and Robert Rodriguez does the title justice. A gory movie, with a lot of gunplay and violence, I was somewhat reminded of Kill Bill. The characters managed to be both captivating and, at times, comedic. It was just as good as I expected it to be, maybe even better.
Score: 5/5

It may not be REALLY accurate, because I saw it quite a while ago and don't quite remember or understood it.
Phone: A Korean movie. It's about a newsreporter tangled up in a story where a female ghost was killed and wants revenge. (Oh, and she's stalked, too.) The ghost sometimes takes over the body of her friend's little girl, who therein acts like an adult when she is about 6. She calls people on their phone when they had the same number as she did. The number eventually gets to the newsreporter...

Because I like it for it's great parody ways...
Dogma: It's about these two guys who have to stop the apocalypse from happening when two fallen angels try to to be forgiven. They're being manipulated by the devil or something to that effect and well if they walk through an archway to be forgiven it somehow says God is wrong so... BOOM. Chaos. A muse is sent to help them as well as an apostle... the thirteenth apostle... who wasn't in the Bible cause he was black.
It's more of a comedy relief but I love how it was. The fact Alan Rickman was in it helped it just a little more. XD That and the fact that it had chinese subtitles on the bottom for my grandparents and my parents helped even more.

I haven't seen a movie in theatres since Million Dollar Baby, which was awesome might I add. However I suck at reviews and I'll just tell you all to go see it because you should.

I went to see "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" this weekend. I thought it was really well done. Though I haven't read the book or remotely familiar with anything having to do with the fandom, it was a really good movie and I suggest, even if you've read the book, to go see it. I went with two people who already read the books, and they really liked it too!

The Lion Roars was an amusing comdey from Hong Kong I had the chance to see. The movie starts off redicoulsly fun but about half way through it trys to pull off a more "real" feel with less comedy. If the whole movie was consistant I would have enjoyed it more. 4/5.

Sahara -- As much as I hate Matthew McConagugh I can tolerate him in this movie. Penelope Cruz plays a lackluster typical "strong woman that really is just a big sissy". The storyline is actually fairly interesting, and the action is really good. It's a good, mindless action film to see, and the third guy, who's name I can't remember, makes the entire movie worth it. Because he's that damn hilarious.
4/5 peanuts

The Ring 2: The plot was similar to the first, which shouldn't suprise many, it IS a sequel... Many aspects of the movie seemed to have contradicted the first. Most of the scare effects were poorly done, though that could have been due to the two girls sitting behind me who screamed everytime the music shifted.
Scare Meter: 1/5 Plot Meter: 3/5
The Ring scored:
Scare Meter: 1/5 Plot Meter: 5/5
Final comments: The Ring was great but if you haven't seen the first Ring then the second one would have been good. Ringu was better plot-wise though the lack of technology when it was made cuts the score down.

Hero: A great movie for anyone who doesn't mind reading subtitles. I think the action scenes were extremly well done. The plot is great. And the meaning is beautiful. And if you notice, the colours are all picked out extremly well. This is a movie I could watch over and over again! (And I have too xd .)
5/5
@Lily: As for Napoleon Dynamite, I didn't enjoy that movie at all. I saw no humor or plot in it, and it bored me to tears. The only part in that movie I found funny (and only for a "haha"), was when the farmer shot the cow and traumatized the children. (I'm cruel I know.) Although, if you want to pull a funny quote from a movie, just about any line from that movie is the perfect choice. (Don't ask me how that works whee .)
@Tolf: The Ring was kind of like Napoleon Dynamite for me, seeing as it bored me to tears. The effects on the girl when she was dying in the closet were horrible. The first time I saw that movie I jumped at that part only because it came out of nowhere. The second time I knew it was coming so it didn't surprise me again, and I got a good look at the girl, and I think they could've done better. Although horror movies have never been able to cut it for me, I still think this movie was little to hyped up. From what I've heard Ringu is much much better than the American version: The Ring. But I don't really have any inerest in watching Ringu after The Ring.

I wanted to kill every single character in the Ring, the just seemed like shallow unrealistic people with no development. Neither scared me at all.

American versions of Japanese films are like communism.
It's a good idea but it would never work.
The Ring as a Paranormal or Sci-Fi would have been better but it did poorly as a Horror movie simply because it was too predictable. Not to mention many movie that have come out lately have chosen scare value over character and plot development. *cough*thegrudge*cough* Though there are some films that are awesome wiithout the shock value...for example, the movie Saw was a very good mystery but not scary.
