I just talked to Kninja on the phone, we're going to meet tomorrow. It will be the first time I've met someone from Gaia, or anyone I've only ever know online before. I'm looking forward to meeting my Wonder Twin. rofl dramallama I also found it extremely amusing that he is wandering around the city not knowing where he is. xd
Now I'm just wondering where I should take him in Vancouver.

Ya, he just doesn't really know his way around any town, not even the ones he's lived in. xD hehe I have a friend just like that, lived in the same city his whole life, needs directions to my place everytime he comes over. Good Grief rolleyes mrgreen I think I'll take him to the Aquarium in Stanley Park. There are all the trees, we are surrounded by the ocean, and at an aquarium with even more water... this 37C is killing me. My west coast Canadian body wasn't built for this. mad I can't imagine what it is like where you are, its always hotter up north and in the interior. My grandma just ordered in Chinese food for dinner, but its too crazy hot to eat today. All I had was a tomato that was accidentally frozen. It was hilariously refreshing. I think I'm going to throw my serving in the freezer for half an hour and eat cold Chinese food

I guess I'll buy a disposible one when I get to town.
Yeah, I'm thinking aquarium. I mean there are tons of things to do here but I don't really want to be standing around the baking city heat trying to think of places to go. Let alone, cool places to go. I think it would be best if I planned the bus route now rather than trying to figure it out later. I don't really care for people making plans for me when I visit some place, but I'm just thinking about the heat.

Gemstone probably could have used that advice, she totally got sun burned today. xd We totally forgot to buy a camera too! crying
I had so much fun today. I don't like where Kninja is staying though, the notorious East Vancouver. *shudders* I wanted to keep things really simple for him to meet up with us, so I had him bus up to Chinatown/Gastown area, Cordova and Main...Part of the NASTIEST part of Vancouver. That was a hilarous experience. Gemstone (my sister in law) and Xerosen (my brother) came with me, and Gemmy is so paranoid and scared of the grungier parts of the city. I laughed my a** off when all of the sudden we crossed the street East Hastings, a notorious street of crack whores and gang violence (but the police station is right there is it's not that bad) and she freaked out when she suddenly realized where I had guided us... "East Hastings!?!?!" she squeaked. xd xd And it didn't help that these two homeless guys were fighting over money right in front of us AND it was hand out day at the food bank, and a line up down the block of street people. Kninja called my cell from pay phones, and we waited there to meet up. I said "We'll just wait here" and Gem said "But some one puked there" "Well we won't wait right THERE" rolleyes lol While we were waiting we saw a beat cop arrest this hilariously disgusting woman, who Gem thought was a man (it was a 90 pound 60 year old crack addict XP )
Stupidity on my part... I never asked who to look for, it hadn't occured to me that I had no freaking idea what Kninja looked like xd So we looked around to anyone who looked lost and out of place, and bingo, there he was. mrgreen
We then walked back into downtown Vancouver and caught a bus to Stanley park. Kninja really loved the idea of the Aquarium, just like you said he would, Isabelle. I was pleased. We spent several hours there, and saw the dolphin show, and watched the fat blubber wiggle on the beluga whales from the tanks below ground. All very cool. My brother stole bus fare from the wishing fountain, much to our amusement. xd Then we when back to town to Thurlow and Robson to the Red Robin resturant. We were so hot and over heated, and the air is so humid and thick with pollution (The air quality is so bad right now) it felt like we were breathing through pudding. My brother had me steal the Red Robin spice shaker from our table (Hey! It's good spice!) which seemed to have mortified Gemstone. xd
Then we decided to see a movie, so we walked back to Dunsmuir and Abbot street and went to Tinsletown and saw the next movie showing, which was The Break-Up (it was an okay movie) and after that I put him on the sky train to get him back to the part of town he is staying in as fast as possible, since it was now 9:30 or so, and was getting dark. I really should have told him to call me once he got back to his hotel, because now I'm all worried about him. gonk
Anyways, it was a very entertaining 8 hours, and Kninja is welcome back anytime, for sure, and totally has to bring Isabelle and Naito next time. He told me of some of your antics, Izzy, I was greatly amused. ninja surprised whee
I'll post more tomorrow, as things come back to me. Right now I am so exhaustefied and over heated! gonk mad

My legs are aching, and my shoulders are hotter then the core of the Earth, but it was all worth it. 3nodding heart
Four minutes onto East Hastings and there was a scrawney, ratty-haired prostitute walking around with no shoes, and then we passed a bunch of homeless people, some guy on a bike he'd just stolen was offering it up for $10 to anyone who wanted it, and another scragley crack-whore walked past us and was missing one of her front teeth. whee It was like something out of a movie about the crappiest place on Earth. I can't believe that place sweatdrop
You forgot to mention how we played DDR on the Dance Pad's at the Theatre! ^.^ You may have beaten me Kninja, but had it been Soul Calibur 2 I promise you you would have been PWNED! rofl
He's a great guy and it was a lot of fun. biggrin If you all come by next time then make sure it's not when our balcony is being painted so our living room is taken over by our barbeque, plants, and my bike, and Xerosen and I will have you all over for video games on a very large and luscious television. heart
I want him to call you and tell you he's safe too. crying

My brother was hilarious that day. I mean, he is always funny, but he was especially spot on the other day. I liked it when sheltered Gem said "I think I just saw my first prostitute" and my brother said dismissive like "You haven't seen your first prostitute until you've paid her." lol
Kninja is great, my brother really liked him, and thought he was hilarious. He said by the end of the day that "I didn't know him before, but yeah, he's my friend now"

cool You guys totally rock, and you're right that I should have called. Sorry, I'm bad for forgetting stuff like that sweatdrop I had a blast in Vancouver, though the whole trip would have been worth it just to hang out with yous guys! And the only trouble I had in the part of town that I was staying in was that I was too near to a Gelato shop with a bajillion flavours that were so wallet emptying good blaugh We did walk alot, and it was bad in that heat (especially at the dolphin show) but the next day I did even more walking than that! I went to Metropolis at Metrotown, and wandered around there for at least 4 or 5 hours probably. J00r mall is bigger than the town I grew up in! Rediculous! surprised eek Then after that I went back downtown and walked from there to some bridge, then across that to Granville island, where Zath suggested that there was some good shopping. I got there too late to shop, but some guy was playing his guitar and he was pretty good, so that was worth that. Then I walked down Broadway back to my place on Main. I spent quite a bit of time just riding random busses around touring the city, and it was a great way to see more than I could have any other way. I didn't get lost once! xp (I kept a map on me the whole time)
I would say more about my trip, but then I'd feel like I was blogging it xp I'll definitely get a hold of you guys again next time I'm in town, and I will do what it takes to convince Isabelle and Nait to do likewise 3nodding

Gemstone, on top of forgetting to get a camera (didn't Zath's brother have his camera phone though?) you didn't even poke me, either xp And I dunno about SCII, you'd have an advantage for owning a copy, but I'm not bad with Cervantes or Voldo...
