* Yes, a contest. Why not. Everyone loves gold.
Just to make it semi-worth your gaia 40-down.
So. 5,111g will be awarded to the FIRST totally correct solution by
...with suitable consolation prizes for second and third.
...plus a bonus of 111g to the winner if he/she is also referenced in the puzzle.
The catch is, you can do this puzzle just for fun, but to be eligible to win that heap of G-coinage, you must ENTER, and that will cost a mere 111g.
Because without an entry fee to stir a bit of competition, the collaborative mental strengths of the 111 would quickly overwhelm this poor puzzle.
To enter, just post and say "I'm in." Then send your fee. PM your completed puzzle, or post it in the thread. If you snatch answers from the other postings, assuming there are any, you have probably already lost.
*edit* >> In case of a tie, or if necessary to de-fuse disputes between potential winners, you will be asked to reply to a couple of questions, and the winner will then be decided based on the answers. ........................
This puzzle was created in the 21 x 21 style of the Sunday N.Y. Times crossword; however it breaks a few rules of that strict format. Clues reference Gaia in general and the 111 in particular..
Sharpen your pencils; it should only take about 12 minutes to do this.. 10 with a can of Mountain Dew.. whee

You should have done more obvious hints like, who is the best person ever with giant teeth and is not Austin Powers?
Because. Seriously. You may as well have written this whole thing in binary. gonk
