Ok people, first of all, welcome to the Gaian National Guard (former Gaian Goverment, and before that the separate branches know as ASDF, GA and GN) this is a new project we are trying to raise from the ashes of the past, and as far as we are now, its going smoothly Right now, you should be wondering, "ok, so I joined what now?", first I recomend you read the following treads: The Anti-munch Project- By Tanasha The Antagonism System (AKA Antag) - By Eyleen Those 2 are the core of the GNG and for RP with most of the people around here The GNG is composed of 3 main organization, representing the 3 main military branches GN- Gaian Navy: Marines, Destroyers, Aircraft carriers and Spacecrafts ASDF - Aero-Space Defense Force: The branch dedicated to the air forces, figthers, bombers deep space combat, air mecha, etc GA - Gaian Army: our ground forces, tanks, foot soldiers and ground mecha Currently most action is taking place on the ASDF sub-forum the other 2 branches are still in development, we have an ongoing roleplay, and several organizations, good, bad and neutral such as: Nida's Army: the bad guys, currently not movin but planning their next move (Nida need people, contact her to join her evil cruzade) Torama Unit: leaded by Kenosha, a mercenary unit, the one who pays the most has its loyalty Royal Blades: Captain Vanessa Griffin wing, one of the 2 elites units of the ASDF (Yes Im accepting people for the Royal Blades) ASDF: the main tread of the Aero-Space defense force, the good guys (if you want to join the main force of the ASDF, contact me or Eyleen, dont contact Tanasha she is to busy to answer pms or just post on the main tread of the ASDF) Well thats a small resume of what is this tread, please also remember to always follow the Gaia TOS in everything you do around here, if you have any question feel free to post, Ill try to respond ASAP or refer you to the person who can answer your question Good Luck PD: Ill updating often, so stay tuned 3nodding EDIT: Eileen here. Welcome to the GNG from me too 3nodding I'm expanding the purpose of this thread slightly. I'd like everyone to introduce themselves here, new and old. A quick "My name is Jane" and "I like to ride an elephant" will do, though I'd like it if you'd also sum up your character in two or three short sentences. I'll give it a go first. Sample Intro Hi, I'm Ai Leen (call me Eileen), and I love anime and hiking. I have two main characters. Eileen is a shy, introverted girl otaku, who has a competitive streak which shows up strongly whenever she's in a mecha, or whenever she's in a competition she has devoted her energy to, such as gymnastics or Angelic Layer. Riley is my new character, a woman who still isn't married and has a mom who keeps reminding her of this. She loves expensive things she absolutely cannot afford but still buys anyways, and takes pride in her past career as a Gaian Navy SEAL. I'm Saoszuc, the user formerly known as Nida. I'm an RP enthusiast, especially involving details and numbers and dice and things. I run a few characters here: Nida, Captain of the Engineering department at the ASDF. She's on... sabbatical, having left the ASDF for Department 5. Tanasha has retained her rank and status despite her resignation. Nida's just your average girl with a yen for mecha and a few extra limbs.
Kory, primary researcher for Department 5. Ze hasn't seen much action as of this post. D5 is just getting started, so get in on the ground floor!
A bevy of NPCs, including Hannah and the Nidas from the Nida Ascendancy. They're mostly waiting in the wings, but expect more NPCs to make trouble soon - and not just for the ASDF...

Hi! I'm Lindy and I'll be your local troublemaker for the duration of your stay in the GNG. I draw, watch anime, collect anime/game based toys and keep them in their package. I only have one character in play and that's Lindy(Lindsey) Knightstar, a former member of the ASDF who is not of this planet. At first impression she can be a kind, compassionate girl who always has a smile on her lips but when things get ugly she'll let you know.
Was that good enough o_O?

Howdy y'all! My name's =[Useless_P]= but you can call me Useless. I like to watch anime, read, and play video games. More specifically the Ace Combat serires of arcade sims. I have one character waiting to enter play. His name is Harris Weston and is one of the newer pilots of the ASDF. At first glance he's just a country boy with a plane, but behind that are the fangs of the Demon Lord of Ustio's son ready to tear into his enemies.

Alrighty, my name is Gwenifer. I love Manga and Anime, i hunt, play around on the comp and i love the military. I have one character Gwenifer James Vin. She loves battle, is stubborn and is really obsessed with weapons (alot like me). Oh just by the way, I really don't know what to do here but this Guild looks awsome, so if i get mixed up about whatever then just help me out abit till i get into the jiff of things. I can be a bit slow at times, sorry.

HI guys. You can call me Talon. My character is a new member to the Gaian Navy, and he's quite the marksman by most standards. In real life I'm addicted to mechs. Gundams, Battlemechs, AC's, you name it I want to pilot it...
Anime and Manga are a major thing too...but not as important as music

Hmm I never did Introduce myself...
Hello my Name is Jay, I started my work here on Gaia in the GA (like alot of the Olbies here) but was asked to help from a new Guild by 'the Kope' as titled The Gain Navy with Guardians permission we set forth to do... well stuff... and for a time stuff was good...
After some In Character disagreements Jay_313 (this accounts original Name) left the Navy and went out on its own.. for another year stuff happened... I later under a New account Dante_313 (Later to become Dante Decker) created the Divine Order of the Pheonix, and fun stuff happaned for about another year. After that I founded IRIS while Helping out Bolt (my IC brother and a good RL friend fo mine) with the GPD before its split ... after IRIS died (the kind of long winded technical RPers we had were not long for this site apparently) I eventually dispapperaed to spend the majority of my time at Leviathan Stadium outside mainstream O/M guilds where I still spend quit a bit of time, but have now resurfaced to restart the GN... thats should about cover it.

I am Tanasha, commander of the ASDF. I kill people from orbit. I talk without using contractions and wear a blank face designed to exude the calm and collected air of millitary command. This face is, of course, a complete fabrication; I have a rather strong sense of humor that normally revolves around odd statements and pranks as well as a rather nasty vengeful streak, but beyond that I am a big softy.
Prior to becoming an officer, I would hang out in bars and avoid arrests resulting from the occasional bar brawl by being the only person sober when the police arrived.
I am also in command of my old mercenary unit, who did not join the millitary along with me. They act as my agents, and ASDF personelle are under orders to treat them as if they held the rank of captain.

Hello. I'm Arc. Also been known as Bob_Roberts, MorganFlare, Rand, and a few other names on Gaia as I keep losing passwords over the years. I guess I'm something of a normal geek for the Gaia crowd. Like my anime, mecha, military history and technology, science fiction, alt history books, martial arts movies, monster films, etc, etc, etc.
I just got here. Invited my Miss Ai Leen who I met and played with during the RP Event Traid. Don't have a character yet. Course my immediate instinct would be to join the Gaian Marines. Or maybe the ASDF.
Most likely I'd probably want to come up with some 'evil' Faction.
